Important Warnings ⚠️
- If the fitting is found to be damaged, cease use immediately.
- The unit may become warm during operation.
- Exercise caution when installing the solar light, especially at height.
- Ensure the fitting is mounted out of head height range to prevent injury.
- The fitting must be mounted securely to a solid surface.
- The solar panel requires direct light; it will not charge correctly if placed behind glass or exposed to artificial light.
- For battery replacement, contact the manufacturer. Do not attempt to change the battery or wiring yourself.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning is recommended for optimal performance. Wipe the unit with a soft, slightly damp cloth to remove surface dirt. Pay special attention to cleaning the solar panel and LEDs regularly to maintain efficiency. Ensure the solar panel is kept free from debris and snow. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or excessive water, as these can damage the fitting. For detailed cleaning instructions for different materials, please visit the Lumena website.

Installation Guide
Location Considerations
Choose an installation location carefully, avoiding shaded areas. A south-facing position is optimal for maximum solar charging, though the light can function effectively in other orientations with sufficient sunlight. Ensure no nearby artificial lights could interfere with the light sensor, mimicking daylight conditions. When mounting near eaves, ensure maximum outreach is utilized.
Mounting Methods
Mounting to a Wall/Surface with Support Plate (Recommended)
- Attach the L-brackets to the light fitting using the provided 2 socket bolts, lock washers, and washers. For the greatest outreach, use the outer mounting hole on the bracket (this can be adjusted post-installation).
- Connect the support plate to the L-brackets using the 4 provided socket bolts, lock washers, washers, and nuts. It is advised that the bolts securing the plate to the light pass through the centre support holes to ensure even weight distribution.
- Drill a 10mm deep hole using a 10-12mm drill bit to create a recess for the support plate and L-bracket bolt heads. Alternatively, additional mounting screws can be used in all 6 available holes.
- Drill 2-4 holes suitable for your chosen M5/6 screws (not supplied). If using only 2 screws per support, it is recommended to use the outer top and inner bottom holes for stability.
- Secure the support brackets firmly to the mounting surface.
Mounting to a Wall/Surface without Support Plate
- Position the light with L-brackets attached against the wall and mark the locations for the mounting holes.
- Drill holes appropriate for your chosen M5/6 screws (not supplied).
- Secure the L-brackets directly to the surface.
Sign Mounting from Behind using Support Plate as Riser
- Attach the support plate to the L-brackets using the 4 socket bolts, lock washers, washers, and nuts, utilizing the top 2 holes on the plate. This arrangement positions the L-brackets above the sign, preventing obstruction of graphics.
- Use the support plate to determine the final placement of the light. Mark 2 of the 4 holes per support on the front of the sign, ensuring these marks do not interfere with important graphics. It is recommended to use the outer top and inner bottom holes (compatible with M6 bolts). Verify the back of the sign for any obstructions that might prevent the bolts from passing through.
- Drill the 4 marked holes using a 6.5mm drill bit.
- Secure the support brackets to the sign surface.
Functionality and Charging
Initial Charge
If you are installing the light fitting later in the day, it is recommended to leave it turned off until the following morning. This allows for a full day of solar charging before its first use.
Automatic Operation
The Signa light is designed to operate automatically during periods of darkness or dusk. Once the ON button is pressed for the first time, the unit will activate itself during low light conditions thereafter.
Turning the Unit On/Off
To turn the unit on, press the button located on the left side of the fitting. Ensure the unit is left to charge for a full day. You can test its functionality by covering the solar panel.
Gradual Dimming Sequence
The light operates on a programmed dimming sequence for extended battery life and optimal illumination:
- First hour: 100% brightness
- Next 2 hours: 80% brightness
- Following 2 hours: 50% brightness
- Final 9 hours: 30% brightness, then turns off.
In the event of low battery levels, the fitting will enter 'Smart Power Mode', reducing brightness to 30% or less until the battery is sufficiently recharged.
A complete charge provides enough power for multiple nights, even during periods of low daylight. On partially cloudy or rainy days, the unit will continue to recharge, though at a reduced rate. The high lumen output is capable of illuminating entrances and signs up to 1 meter in width, utilizing its 90-degree beam angle.
Remote Control Usage
Before first use, remove the battery tab protector from the remote control. Use the remote to adjust brightness levels, override the automatic functions, and set timers. Aim the remote towards the LED panel receiver, within a 1.5-meter range, and press the desired button firmly. The light will flash briefly to confirm that the function adjustment has been registered.
The remote control includes buttons for: Forced On, Forced Off, ON, OUT, Dusk to Dawn mode, Timer mode (4H, 6H, 8H, 10H), and Brightness Increase/Decrease (in 10% increments).
Note: The diagram suggests a recommended spacing of 50cm between multiple light units for optimal coverage.
Storage Instructions
When storing the solar light, ensure it is turned to the off position (this can be tested by covering the solar panel). The unit can be stored for a maximum of 6 months when fully charged. Periodic recharging is necessary to prevent potential battery damage during prolonged storage periods.
