How Does It Work?
When the PRO 6000 probe tip is placed in the ear, it continuously monitors the infrared energy emitted by the eardrum and surrounding tissues until thermal equilibrium is reached, allowing for an accurate measurement.2

PerfecTemp technology addresses two main challenges in ear temperature measurement:
- Challenges arising from the anatomy of the ear canal.3
- Variability in probe placement technique.3
When probe positioning is not ideal, PerfecTemp supports accurate measurement compared to core temperature. PerfecTemp activates as soon as the probe tip is placed in the ear. It collects information about the direction and depth of the probe position and uses this in the temperature calculation.
