NOTICE
This manual assumes the user possesses the necessary knowledge and tools for safe automotive service operations and is familiar with typical automotive systems and basic repair procedures. Do not attempt operations unless these assumptions are correct. Always consult a factory repair manual and adhere to its safety precautions to prevent injury.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
WARNING
- To prevent electrical damage, burns, or fires:
- Always disconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle's battery before commencing installation.
- When disconnecting wires or connectors, exercise caution to avoid damaging or breaking them.
CAUTION
- Do not misuse this product, as misuse may lead to engine damage or loss of original functionality.
- Prior to installation, ensure the engine bay temperature has cooled to approximately 40°C (104°F). Failure to allow the engine to cool sufficiently can result in severe burns.
- Insert clean rags into open piping to prevent foreign material from entering. Neglected foreign material can cause engine damage.
- Verify that all parts listed in the Parts List are included in the kit.
- Reference the vehicle's factory service manual when removing original parts.
- Handle the product with care; avoid dropping or subjecting it to excessive impacts, which could cause product damage or improper installation.
- Use appropriate tools when tightening nuts and bolts. Over-tightening can damage bolts.
- Store removed factory parts safely for potential re-installation.
- Replace the filter element at regular intervals: Recommended replacement is every 3,000-5,000 km (2,000-3,200 miles) or every 3-6 months. Replacement filters are sold separately.
- Do not wash the filters, as this will degrade their filtration properties. However, depending on dirt accumulation, cleaning or replacement may be required sooner than the recommended intervals.
- Improper maintenance of the vehicle and product can lead to reduced performance, inaccurate airflow meter sensor readings, and potential engine damage or adverse operating conditions.
ADVICE
- This product is designed based on and for the factory vehicle; however, additional fuel settings may be necessary depending on the specific vehicle application.
- If the airflow meter intake air temperature sensor appears dirty (blackened, lacking visible shine), it can be assumed that the sensor itself is also dirty. Clean the sensor carefully using an automotive parts cleaner.
INSTALLATION STEPS
1. REMOVAL OF FACTORY PARTS
- Disconnect the negative terminal of the vehicle's battery.
- Remove a clip to detach the air intake duct. (Refer to Diagram 1)
- Disconnect the airflow meter sensor connector. (Refer to Diagram 2)
- Loosen the hose clamp to remove the suction hose. (Refer to Diagram 2)
- Remove the air cleaner upper case and the airflow meter sensor together. (Refer to Diagrams 2 and 3)
- Remove the bolt and nut to detach the air filter element and the air cleaner lower case. (Refer to Diagram 3)
- Remove the airflow meter sensor from the air cleaner upper case. (Refer to Diagram 2)
Diagram 1: Shows the air intake duct and a clip for removal.
Diagram 2: Illustrates disconnecting the airflow meter sensor connector, loosening the suction hose clamp, and removing the air cleaner upper case and sensor assembly.
Diagram 3: Depicts the removal of the air cleaner upper and lower cases, and the air filter element.
2. INSTALLATION OF THE KIT
- Assemble components as illustrated in Diagram 4. Ensure the factory airflow meter sensor's O-Ring is correctly seated and not pinched in the airflow adapter pipe. Tighten with the supplied M4 screws to a torque of 2.0-3.0 N-m (0.2-0.3 kg-m). Do not overtighten. (Refer to Diagrams 4 and 6)
- Install the air cleaner bracket to section A using the factory bolt. (Refer to Diagrams 5 and 6)
- Temporarily assemble the kit parts. (Refer to Diagrams 6 and 7)
- Position the air cleaner assembly to the vehicle, ensuring it does not contact other parts unnecessarily. Secure the air cleaner using the supplied hose clamps and bolts. Do not over-tighten. (Refer to Diagram 8)Advice: Use proper tools like screwdrivers for hose clamps to avoid over-tightening, which can damage the air cleaner. Recommended torque: 2.0-3.0 N-m (0.2-0.3 kg-m).
- Drill a 7mm hole in the air intake duct as shown in Diagram 9. (Note: The depicted hole position is typical; actual position may vary by vehicle.)
- Install the air intake duct. (Refer to Diagrams 10 and 11)
- Reconnect the airflow meter sensor connector. (Refer to Diagram 12)
- Reconnect the negative terminal to the vehicle's battery. (Refer to Diagram 12)

CHECKS TO PERFORM AFTER INSTALLATION
Prior to turning on the engine:
- Check all piping connections for security.
- Check the battery connection.
- Verify that all hose clamps are properly tightened.
- Verify that all bolts and nuts are properly tightened.
- Ensure that the installed parts do not contact any other vehicle components.
After turning on the engine:
- Check for any air leaks in the installed sections.
- Lightly rev the engine two or three times and observe for smooth RPM increases.
- Listen for any unusual noises (e.g., clanging) originating from the installed parts.
- Confirm that the engine idles stably.
- Turn off the engine and re-inspect for any loosened bolts, tightening them as necessary.
MAINTENANCE
Regular maintenance is crucial for ensuring the safety, reliability, and proper function of this product. Maintenance is the responsibility of the driver/owner.
- If any work is required that falls outside the scope of this manual, consult a professional.
- To maintain the performance of the kit, routine filter replacement is necessary. Recommended intervals: Every 3,000-5,000 km (2,000-3,200 miles) or every 3-6 months. Filter replacement may be needed sooner based on dirt accumulation. Replacement filters are sold separately.
- If the vehicle sustains damage, have repairs performed by a qualified professional.
