Initial Setup and Power Connection

Follow these steps to connect your printer to a power source:

1. Connect the power cord between the printer and a grounded AC outlet.
2. Turn on the printer.
3. Ensure that the power source is adequate for the printer's voltage rating. The voltage rating is indicated on the printer label. The printer uses either 100-127 Vac or 220-240 Vac and 50/60 Hz.

CAUTION: To prevent damage to the printer, use only the power cord that is provided with the printer.

Step 1: Unpacking and Initial Setup

• 1.4: Remove the protective tape from the toner cartridge.
• 1.5: Insert the toner cartridge into the printer.
• 1.6: Close the scanner lid.

Step 2: Paper Loading

• 2.1: Open the paper tray.
• 2.2: Adjust the paper guides.
• 2.3: Insert paper into the tray.
• 2.4: Close the paper tray.
• 2.5: Open the output tray.
• 2.6: Pull out the output tray extension.
