Crumbs Jamming
Crumbs jamming the mechanism or magnet will stop the device from fulfilling its capabilities. To resolve this, empty the crumb tray and ensure the carriage is clear of bread pieces.
Lever Issues
Ensure the lever is held down for a period of 5 to 10 seconds to allow it to stay in place and connect properly, which helps provide balanced toasting. Heavy handling of the device may damage the internal heating element; even small damages can worsen over time.
Cleaning and Maintenance
UNPLUG AND ALLOW TO COOL FULLY BEFORE CLEANING
- Empty the crumb tray and ensure the carriage is clear of bread pieces after each use.
- For cleaning external surfaces, use a soft cloth moistened with a mild detergent solution.
- DO NOT USE ABRASIVE OR STRONG CHEMICAL CLEANERS. DO NOT IMMERSE ANY PART OF THE PRODUCT IN WATER.
Tripping Issues
Check the power supply, plug socket, and ensure it can fulfill the device's power requirements (1500W). High-powered devices require a stable power source. Be aware of other high-power devices (microwaves, coffee machines, kettles) on the same circuit, as they can limit power and blow a fuse. Also, verify the electrical outlet is compatible with the device.
The heating element not working could also cause tripping if insufficient power is circulated, potentially due to transit damage. Ensure the crumb tray is emptied after each use, as stated in the manual.
Toasting Problems
Issues with toasting could stem from damage to the carriage lever, possibly incurred during transit or from dropping the device. While packaging is to Amazon standard, these issues can occur. Refer to the cleaning and maintenance section (page 6 of the manual) for solutions. Ensure the crumb tray is emptied after each use to prevent crumb build-up affecting performance. Also, hold the lever for 5 to 10 seconds to ensure it connects properly.
Dents
Dents may be caused by damage during transit or other handling issues. Packaging is to Amazon Standard. For assistance, please contact the customer service line found on the front of the instruction manual.
Additional Information on Heating
Regarding heating issues, the central heating panel generates higher heat than the outside toasting panels. This is due to more heat from the combined grills, resulting in the inner side of the toast being crisper because the bread is exposed to a more concentrated heat source. This may cause a slight imbalance during toasting.
