Product Overview
The AGD-200 detector is designed to detect the breaking of plate, tempered, and laminated glass. It operates within the ABAX 2 / ABAX two-way wireless system. This manual applies to detectors with firmware version 1.00 or newer, compatible with:
- ABAX 2: ACU-220 / ACU-280 controller, ARU-200 repeater.
- ABAX: ACU-120 / ACU-270 controller (firmware v5.04+), ARU-100 repeater (firmware v2.02+), INTEGRA 128-WRL control panel (firmware v1.19+ and processor firmware v3.10+).
Features
- Advanced two-path sound analysis.
- Adjustable detection sensitivity.
- Encrypted two-way radio communication in the 868 MHz / 915 MHz frequency band (AES standard for ABAX 2).
- Transmission channel diversity (4 channels for automatic selection) for interference-free transmission (ABAX 2 only).
- Remote firmware update capability (ABAX 2 only).
- Remote configuration.
- Built-in temperature sensor with a range of -10°C to +55°C.
- "ECO" option for extended battery life (ABAX 2 only).
- Battery status monitoring.
- LED indicator.
- Tamper protection against enclosure opening and removal from the mounting surface.
Description
Radio Communication
The detector communicates periodically with the controller/control panel to report its status. Additional communication occurs upon an alarm event, as detailed in "Operating modes".
Alarms
The detector reports an alarm under the following conditions:
- Glass break detection: registering a low-frequency impact sound followed by a high-frequency glass break sound within 4 seconds.
- Tamper alarm: opening of the tamper switch.
Operating Modes
- Active: All alarms are reported immediately.
- Passive: Only tamper alarms are reported immediately. This mode conserves battery life.
The detector's operating mode can be set remotely. In INTEGRA / VERSA systems, the mode may also depend on the partition state (disarmed = passive, armed = active). Refer to the ABAX 2 / ABAX controller manual or INTEGRA 128-WRL control panel manual for details.
Energy Saving Mode (ECO)
The "ECO" option, available in the ABAX 2 system, can extend battery life up to fourfold by changing periodical communication to every 3 minutes.
Test Mode
Test mode enables the LED indicator and allows alarm triggering solely by the high-frequency glass break sound, simplifying detector testing. Refer to the relevant system manuals for instructions on starting and ending test mode.
LED Indicator
The LED provides status feedback:
- Warm-up: Flashes for approximately 3 seconds after battery insertion.
- Periodical Communication: Short flash (80 milliseconds).
- Low-frequency Sound: Flash (500 milliseconds).
- Alarm: Solid ON for 2 seconds.
Battery Status Control
When battery voltage drops below 2.75 V, a low battery notification is sent with each transmission.
Electronics Board
⚠️ Do not remove the electronics board from the enclosure to prevent damage to its components.

Selecting a Mounting Location
The detector is intended for indoor installation.
- Position the detector's microphone towards the protected glass. The optimal mounting location is on the wall opposite the glass.
- Ensure the distance between the detector and the glass does not exceed the detection range of 6 meters.
- The detection range is influenced by room acoustics. Materials like shades, curtains, furniture upholstery, and acoustic tiles can absorb sound and reduce the effective range.
- Avoid mounting the detector on the same wall as the glass pane or near sound-emitting devices such as loudspeakers, bells, or air conditioners.

Installation
⚠️ Battery Warning: Using a battery other than the one recommended by the manufacturer or improper handling can lead to battery explosion. Exercise extreme caution during battery installation and replacement. The manufacturer is not liable for consequences arising from incorrect battery installation. Used batteries must not be discarded; dispose of them according to environmental protection regulations.
- Open the detector enclosure. The enclosure opening tool is included in the delivery set (illustrated in Figure 4).
- Install the battery and add the detector to the wireless system. Refer to the ABAX 2 / ABAX controller manual or the INTEGRA 128-WRL control panel installer manual for instructions. The serial number for system registration is found on the electronics board.
- Note: In INTEGRA / VERSA alarm systems, the detector is identified as AGD-100. Simultaneous operation with both ABAX 2 and INTEGRA 128-WRL control panels is not supported.
- Close the detector enclosure.
- Place the detector at its intended installation location.
- Check the signal strength received by the ABAX 2 / ABAX controller or INTEGRA 128-WRL control panel. If the signal level is below 40%, choose an alternative location. Minor adjustments of 10-20 cm can sometimes significantly improve signal quality. Experiment with rotating the enclosure to assess the impact of antenna position on signal strength.
- The ARF-200 tester can be used to verify radio signal strength at the installation site without needing to mount the detector.
- Start the test mode (refer to the ABAX 2 / ABAX controller manual or INTEGRA 128-WRL control panel manual).
- Position the INDIGO TESTER near the protected glass and use it to simulate a glass-break sound. If the detector's LED illuminates, proceed with the installation. Otherwise, adjust the detection sensitivity (refer to system manuals) or select a new location and re-test, ensuring the signal level is rechecked.
- End the test mode.
- Open the detector enclosure again (as shown in Figure 4).
- Secure the enclosure base to the mounting surface using wall plugs (anchors) and screws (illustrated in Figure 6). The provided wall plugs are suitable for concrete and brick. For surfaces like drywall or styrofoam, use appropriate wall plugs.
- Close the detector enclosure.
- Configure the detector settings via the ABAX 2 / ABAX controller manual or the INTEGRA 128-WRL control panel manual.
