Accessory Trim Kits for GE Microwave Ovens (Available at Additional Cost)

These kits enable built-in installation into a wall or cabinet for a custom appearance and are U.L. approved for installation over a GE single electric wall oven. They should not be installed over a gas wall oven.

Note: 120V, 60-cycle, grounded power receptacle location is optional on the back within the cabinet opening.

Installation Requirements & Clearances

Overall Dimensions Diagram Description: The microwave unit has an overall width of approximately 24 7/8 inches, a height of approximately 13 9/16 inches, and a depth of approximately 19 11/16 inches. The installation diagram shows overall external dimensions of 25-1/2 inches up to 25-5/8 inches in width, 16-3/4 inches plus or minus 1/8 inch in height, and 18-7/8 inches in depth. It also indicates required cabinet space for electrical receptacles: a minimum of 22 inches inside the cabinet and a minimum of 19-1/2 inches outside the cabinet.

Cabinet Overlap Requirements:

• A - Overlap of trim kit over top of cabinet: 1" for 30" and 27" cabinets.
• B - Overlap of trim kit over bottom of cabinet: 1-1/8" for 30" and 27" cabinets.
• C - Overlap of trim kit over sides of cabinet: 2-1/8" for 30" cabinets, 5/8" for 27" cabinets.

Note: Allow an additional inch of clearance beyond the trim kit frame on all sides to prevent the trim kit from blocking any adjoining cabinets or obstructions. A diagram shows a 30" cabinet with a door or other obstruction, highlighting a necessary gap of at least 3/4 inch between the obstruction and the microwave's width, with a 1/4 inch measurement indicated.

ADA Compliance: For ADA compliance, the microwave must be installed no higher than 36 1/4".
