General Safety

Installation

Commissioning and Control Elements

Prescriptions

This appliance is designed for domestic use for refrigerating, freezing, and storing food, and for making ice cubes. It is strictly for household use.

The appliance is designed for specific ambient temperatures according to its climate class (SN, N, ST, T). These must not be exceeded.

The appliance complies with CE directives 73/23/EEC and 89/336/EEC.

Clean the appliance before commissioning (see "Cleaning" chapter).

Switch on the appliance approximately 2 hours before loading it with the first products. Wait until the freezer temperature reaches -18°C or lower.

The refrigerator/BioFresh compartment and the freezer can operate independently.

Switching the Appliance On and Off

Temperature Setting

The appliance is factory set for normal operation. Recommended temperatures: +5°C for the refrigerator and -18°C for the freezer.

BioFresh Compartment Temperature Regulation

The BioFresh compartment automatically regulates temperature just above 0°C.

To adjust the temperature (e.g., for fish):

Child Lock

Activation: Press and hold the Alarm button ⑤ and the SuperFrost button ④ for approx. 3 seconds. A repeated beep and the illuminated child lock indicator ⑥ confirm activation.

Deactivation: Repeat the operation; indicator ⑥ turns off.

Temperature Display

Normal operation: The refrigerator's average interior temperature is shown on display ⑦, and the coldest frozen product temperature on display ①.

Initial start-up/High temperature: Displays show dashes until the appliance reaches its operating temperature range (-19°C to 0°C for refrigerator, below 0°C for freezer).

The display flashes when you adjust the temperature or if the temperature has risen significantly, indicating a loss of cold. This can occur when adding warm food or opening the door. The appliance automatically returns to the last set temperature once the door is closed. A brief temperature increase does not affect frozen product quality.

If the display shows "F0" to "F5", the appliance has a fault. Contact your After-Sales Service.

Display Brightness

Brightness is set to minimum upon delivery. Door opening or setting changes temporarily increase brightness for one minute.

Audible Alarm

The audible alarm helps preserve frozen food quality and save energy.

Power Failure / FrostControl Display (nA)

The 'nA' message indicates a significant temperature rise in the freezer due to a power outage. Check frozen food quality.

SuperCool

Sets the appliance to maximum cooling power. Recommended for rapidly cooling large quantities of food, drinks, pastries, or cooked meals.

Refrigerator

Food Storage

Air circulation creates temperature zones. The coldest zone is above the vegetable drawers and against the rear wall. The warmest zone is at the top and in the door (ideal for butter and cheese).

Recommended storage example (Fig. B):

General Tips:

Modular Interior

Storage shelves and door bins can be repositioned.

Interior Lighting

The interior light automatically switches off after approx. 15 minutes of the door being open. If it doesn't light up, the bulb may be defective.

Bulb Replacement:

BioFresh Compartment

The BioFresh compartment preserves fresh foods up to three times longer than a traditional refrigerator, maintaining taste, freshness, and nutritional value.

Constant temperature just above 0°C and controlled humidity provide ideal storage conditions.

Upper Drawer

Ideal for dry or packaged goods (dairy, meat, fish, charcuterie, etc.). Provides a relatively dry atmosphere.

Large Drawer

Ideal for storing unpackaged salads, fruits, and vegetables in a "humid" atmosphere. Once filled, the storage temperature stabilizes, offering up to 90% relative humidity.

This drawer can be used for either dry or humid storage as needed.

Freezer

SuperFrost

Fresh produce should be frozen thoroughly as quickly as possible. This preserves nutritional value, appearance, and taste.

The maximum quantity of food (in kg) that can be frozen in 24 hours is indicated on the rating plate under "Freezing capacity ... kg/24h" (Fig. A2/4). This maximum value varies by model and climate class.

Freezing with SuperFrost

Note: SuperFrost is not necessary if you are introducing frozen goods or freezing up to 2 kg of fresh produce per day.

Tips for Freezing and Storage

Freezer (cont.)

Drawer Identification System*

Frozen foods should be consumed within the recommended storage periods. The numbers between the symbols indicate the storage duration in months for various types of food.

Storage durations are indicative. Actual duration depends on initial quality and preparation. For fatty foods, respect the lower values.

Food ItemSymbolDuration
Cooked dishes 2-6
Ice cream
Fish 4-8
Pork
Vegetables 6-12
Fruits 2
Sausages
Bread
Mushrooms
Game
Poultry
Beef/Veal

Freezing Tray*

The freezing tray allows fruits (berries, fruit pieces), herbs, and vegetables to be frozen without sticking together. Products retain their shape and can be defrosted as needed.

Cold Accumulators*

During a power outage, cold accumulators prevent a rapid temperature rise in the freezer, preserving food quality.

Ice Preparation

Defrosting, Cleaning, Energy Saving

Defrosting

The refrigerator and BioFresh compartment defrost automatically. Defrost water evaporates via heat from the compressor.

Freezer:

Over time, frost or ice forms on the aluminum plates and drawer fronts, depending on door opening frequency and food temperature. This is normal.

A thick layer of ice increases energy consumption. Regular defrosting is recommended:

Troubleshooting

Your appliance is designed for safety and longevity. If a problem occurs, check for user errors first.

Troubleshooting Table

ProblemPossible Cause and Remedy
Appliance not working, display offIs the appliance in the correct operating mode? Is the power plug fully inserted? Is the fuse for the socket intact?
Lighting not workingIs the refrigerator running? Has the door been open for more than 15 minutes? Is the bulb defective? Replace bulb (see "Interior Lighting" chapter).
Appliance is too noisyIs the appliance level? Are nearby cabinets or objects vibrating when the compressor runs? Try repositioning the appliance, level it with adjustable feet, and separate bottles/containers to avoid contact. Gurgling noises from refrigerant circulation are normal. A click when the compressor starts/stops is normal. The compressor may be slightly noisier when starting.
Alarm sounds, temperature not cold enoughWere too many fresh products stored without SuperFrost? Does the appliance door close properly? Is ventilation (air intake and exhaust) adequate? Clear any obstructed ventilation grilles. Is the ambient temperature too high? (See "Prescriptions" chapter). Was the appliance opened too often or for too long? Wait for the temperature to stabilize.
Display shows message 'nA'There was a temporary power interruption. Refer to the "Power Failure / FrostControl Display" chapter.

Rating Plate and After-Sales Service (S.A.V.)

If the above checks do not resolve the problem, or if the temperature display shows "F0" to "F5", the appliance has a fault. Contact your nearest S.A.V. (list provided), stating the observed display and the following information from the rating plate:

This information helps S.A.V. provide faster, more targeted service. The rating plate is located inside the appliance, on the left.

Installation and Mounting Instructions

Integration into Kitchen Cabinets

Fig. U shows how the appliance can be integrated into kitchen cabinets. For a uniform look, a top element (available from your kitchen supplier) can be fitted above the appliance, aligned with the kitchen height.

High-level ventilation is essential. Fix the top element so that a ventilation gap of at least 50 mm is maintained between the back of the element and the wall, across the entire width. The available ventilation opening under the kitchen ceiling must have a minimum cross-section of 300 cm². Better ventilation leads to reduced appliance power consumption.
