Refrigerator
Food Storage
Air circulation creates temperature zones. The coldest zone is above the vegetable drawers and against the rear wall. The warmest zone is at the top and in the door (ideal for butter and cheese).
Recommended storage example (Fig. B):
- 1: Butter, cheese
- 2: Eggs
- 3: Drinks, cartons, bottles
- 4: Preserves
- 5: Pastries
- 6: Dairy products
- 7: Tropical fruits, cold-sensitive vegetables
General Tips:
- Do not place food too close together to allow air circulation.
- Do not obstruct rear ventilation slots.
- Store foods that emit or absorb odors in airtight containers or with protection.
- Store ethylene-emitting foods (fruits, vegetables, salad) separately or packaged to prevent premature spoilage.
Modular Interior
Storage shelves and door bins can be repositioned.
- Door bins (Fig. C): Lift, pull forward, and reinsert.
- Bottle retaining rail: Adjust position to prevent bottles from tipping.
- Storage shelves (Fig. D): Lift, pull forward, tilt upwards to remove. Reinsert with rear stops facing upwards. A locking mechanism prevents shelves from being fully removed.
- For large bottles, tilt the front of the glass shelf upwards and slide it under the rear section (Fig. E1).
- The bottle rack (Fig. E2) provides extra space for bottles up to 300 mm high.
- The vegetable drawer (7, Fig. B) can be removed to create more storage space.
Interior Lighting
The interior light automatically switches off after approx. 15 minutes of the door being open. If it doesn't light up, the bulb may be defective.
Bulb Replacement:
- Bulb specifications: Max. 25W, E14 socket. Ensure current and voltage match appliance specifications. Use only bulbs of the same size.
- Switch off the appliance and unplug it or remove the fuse.
- Remove the light cover (Fig. F1): grip cover 1, unclip, and detach at the rear 2.
- Replace the bulb as shown in Fig. F2. Screw in firmly. Ensure the sealing surface of the bulb base is clean.
- Reattach the cover at the rear and clip it into place.
BioFresh Compartment
The BioFresh compartment preserves fresh foods up to three times longer than a traditional refrigerator, maintaining taste, freshness, and nutritional value.
Constant temperature just above 0°C and controlled humidity provide ideal storage conditions.
Upper Drawer
Ideal for dry or packaged goods (dairy, meat, fish, charcuterie, etc.). Provides a relatively dry atmosphere.
Large Drawer
Ideal for storing unpackaged salads, fruits, and vegetables in a "humid" atmosphere. Once filled, the storage temperature stabilizes, offering up to 90% relative humidity.
This drawer can be used for either dry or humid storage as needed.
Humidity Setting (Fig. A5)
- "Dry" (Sec): Push slider to the left. For foods suitable for dry storage.
- "Humid" (Humide): Push slider to the right. For foods requiring high humidity (approx. 90%), such as fresh lettuce, stored unpackaged.
Notes:
- BioFresh humidity depends on the initial moisture content of the food and door opening frequency.
- Always select fresh food. Quality and freshness determine storage duration.
- Store unpackaged meats, fruits, and vegetables separately. If storing together due to space constraints, package them! Do not mix different types of meat; always separate them. This prevents spoilage.
- High-protein foods spoil faster (shellfish and crustaceans faster than fish; fish faster than meat).
- Before consuming, let foods from the BioFresh compartment reach room temperature for 30-60 minutes to restore flavor and nutritional value.
- Cheeses, potatoes, delicate vegetables (cucumbers, peppers, aubergines, avocados, tomatoes, beans, courgettes), and exotic fruits (pineapples, bananas, grapefruits, melons, mangoes, papayas) should NOT be stored in the BioFresh compartment.

SuperFrost
Fresh produce should be frozen thoroughly as quickly as possible. This preserves nutritional value, appearance, and taste.
The maximum quantity of food (in kg) that can be frozen in 24 hours is indicated on the rating plate under "Freezing capacity ... kg/24h" (Fig. A2/4). This maximum value varies by model and climate class.
Freezing with SuperFrost
- Briefly press the "SuperFrost" button ④ to illuminate it. The freezer temperature drops, and the appliance operates at maximum freezing power.
- For small quantities, wait approx. 6 hours.
- For the maximum quantity (see rating plate), wait approx. 24 hours.
- Place fresh produce preferably in the top drawers*.
- To freeze the maximum quantity, remove drawers and place packaged products directly on the shelves. Once frozen, replace drawers and store products.
- SuperFrost automatically switches off after 30 (max. 60) hours, depending on settings. Freezing is complete. The SuperFrost button turns off. The appliance returns to normal, economical operation.
Note: SuperFrost is not necessary if you are introducing frozen goods or freezing up to 2 kg of fresh produce per day.
Tips for Freezing and Storage
- Foods suitable for freezing: meat, game, poultry, fresh fish, vegetables, fruits, dairy products, bread, pastries, cooked dishes.
- Foods not recommended for freezing: lettuce, radishes, whole grapes, whole apples and pears, fatty meats.
- Packaging: Use only commercially available freezer bags, recyclable plastic containers, or aluminum containers.
- Do not place fresh products to be frozen in contact with already frozen products. Ensure packages are dry to prevent them from sticking together when frozen.
- Label packages with contents and date, and strictly adhere to the expiry date.
- Portioning: For self-frozen foods, always pack in portions suitable for your current consumption. For quick and correct freezing, respect the following quantities per package: fruits and vegetables: max. 1 kg; meats: max. 2.5 kg.
- Blanching: Vegetables should be blanched after washing and portioning (dip in boiling water for 2-3 minutes, then cool rapidly under cold water. Follow manufacturer instructions for pressure cookers or microwave ovens).
- Do not salt or spice fresh produce and blanched vegetables before freezing. Other foods can be lightly salted and spiced. Some spices lose flavor during freezing.
- Never place bottles or cans containing carbonated beverages in the freezer, as they could explode. For rapid chilling of drinks, remove bottles after one hour maximum.
- Storage: Each drawer/shelf can hold a maximum load of 25 kg of frozen products.
- Keep the ventilation space between the tank ceiling and the top shelf clear at all times! Never store food there, even if packages are flat. This space is essential for unimpeded air circulation and proper appliance function.
- To maximize volume, you can remove drawers and place products directly on the shelves. This makes the entire volume usable.
- To remove drawers: Pull out to the stop and lift at the front.
- Organize packages by product group to avoid prolonged door opening and maximize energy savings.
- Do not exceed the indicated expiry dates.
- Defrosting: Only defrost the quantity needed for consumption. Cook defrosted foods as quickly as possible.
- Defrosted frozen foods can be thawed: in the oven / fan oven, in the microwave, at room temperature, or in your refrigerator (the dissipated cold is used for refrigerating other foods). Thin portions of meat and fish can be cooked during defrosting. Vegetables can be cooked while still frozen (cooking time reduced by half).

Freezing Tray*
The freezing tray allows fruits (berries, fruit pieces), herbs, and vegetables to be frozen without sticking together. Products retain their shape and can be defrosted as needed.
- Spread products to be frozen on the freezing tray (Fig. H).
- Hang the tray in one of the top drawers. Freeze for 10 to 12 hours before packaging in freezer bags or containers and placing in a drawer.
- To defrost, spread the frozen products out again side by side.
Cold Accumulators*
During a power outage, cold accumulators prevent a rapid temperature rise in the freezer, preserving food quality.
- To save space, place accumulators on the freezing tray and freeze them (Fig. J).
- For maximum "storage duration in case of power failure", place frozen cold accumulators directly in the top drawer, on top of the frozen food.
Ice Preparation
- Push the cap downwards.
- Fill the ice cube tray with water. Excess water drains through the opening.
- Pull the cap upwards.
- Place the ice cube tray in the appliance and let it freeze.
- Ice cubes detach when the tray is slightly twisted or briefly rinsed under running water.
Defrosting, Cleaning, Energy Saving
Defrosting
The refrigerator and BioFresh compartment defrost automatically. Defrost water evaporates via heat from the compressor.
- Ensure the defrost water can flow freely through the drain opening behind the top BioFresh drawer at the rear of the tank (see arrow in Fig. A).
Freezer:
Over time, frost or ice forms on the aluminum plates and drawer fronts, depending on door opening frequency and food temperature. This is normal.
A thick layer of ice increases energy consumption. Regular defrosting is recommended:
- The day before defrosting, activate "SuperFrost" mode to provide extra cold reserve for food.
- Defrosting: Unplug the appliance or press the freezer's On/Off button to turn off the temperature display. If the display does not turn off, child lock is active.
- Store frozen food in its drawer, or wrapped in newspaper/blankets, covered with cold accumulators. Keep in a cool place.
- Remove the water drain gutter ① and place the freezing tray* or a suitable container underneath.
- To speed up defrosting, place a container of hot (not boiling) water on one of the central shelves.
- Do not use electric heaters, steam cleaners, aerosol defrosting agents, open flames, or metal objects to remove ice. This can cause injury or damage!
- Leave the door open during defrosting. Wipe up remaining water with a cloth and clean the interior.
Cleaning
- Always switch off the appliance before cleaning. Unplug it or switch off the upstream circuit breakers.
- Clean the interior, interior fittings, and exterior surfaces by hand with lukewarm water mixed with a small amount of dish soap. Do not use steam cleaners!
- Never use abrasive sponges, concentrated cleaning agents, or chemical cleaners containing abrasives or acid.
- Use soft cloths and a pH-neutral all-purpose cleaner. Only use food-safe cleaners for the appliance interior.
- For stainless steel appliances*, use a special stainless steel cleaner after cleaning.
- Ensure cleaning water does not enter drain openings, ventilation grilles, or electrical parts. Wipe the appliance dry.
- Do not damage or detach the rating plate inside the appliance (important for after-sales service).
- The butter dish* is dishwasher-safe; hand-wash storage surfaces, glass shelves, and other elements. They are not dishwasher-safe.
- Storage surfaces and door bins can be removed for cleaning. Remove all protective films from edges.
- To clean BioFresh drawers: Pull them out completely, lift, and remove (Fig. L). To reinsert: place the drawer on its fully extended slide, ensuring it reaches the drawer front, and push (Fig. M).
- Simply pull the drawer cover forward. When reinserting, align the tabs with the guide grooves. The drawer and its cover must be aligned.
- Regularly clean the defrost water drain opening behind the top BioFresh drawer at the rear of the tank, e.g., with a cotton swab (see arrow, Fig. A).
- Clean and dust the compressor and condenser (metal grille at the rear of the appliance) once a year. Dust accumulation increases energy consumption.
- Do not pull, twist, or damage any cables or parts of the appliance.
- Reconnect and switch the appliance back on. Load the appliance once the temperature is sufficiently low.
- If the appliance is to remain unused for an extended period, empty it, unplug it, clean as described above, and leave the door ajar to prevent odors.
Energy Saving Recommendations
- Ensure ventilation openings are not obstructed.
- Avoid prolonged door openings.
- Organize food by product group and do not exceed expiry dates.
- Pack or cover food properly before storing to prevent frost formation.
- Allow hot food to cool to room temperature before storing in the appliance.
- Defrost frozen foods in the refrigerator.
- Defrost the freezer when a thick layer of frost forms. This improves cooling efficiency and reduces energy consumption.
- Keep the appliance door closed during a power outage. This delays temperature rise and preserves food quality longer.
Troubleshooting
Your appliance is designed for safety and longevity. If a problem occurs, check for user errors first.
Troubleshooting Table
