- Remove insulating compound or underbody coating from the vehicle in the area of the tow bar's contact surfaces.
- The tow bar is intended for towing trailers and carrying loads. Any other use is prohibited.
- Vehicles equipped with parking assistance systems may experience malfunctions after tow bar installation if components (e.g., ball bar, coupling ball) are within the sensor's detection range. Adjust the sensing range or disable the parking assistance system if necessary. For removable or pivoting ball tow bars, malfunctions are unlikely if the ball bar is not in the operating position.
- The tow bar is a safety-critical component and must only be fitted by qualified companies. Improper assembly can lead to serious accident hazards. The German text of this instruction is binding.
