Intended Use
This product has been designed for private use. The product is a toy. The product is height-adjustable from 170 to 210 cm.
Safety Information
Life-threatening hazard!
- Never leave children unattended with the packaging materials. There is a risk of suffocation.
Risk of injury!
- Warning. Not suitable for children under 36 months. Choking hazard. Small parts.
- Warning. Only for domestic use.
- The product is intended for outdoor use.
- Warning. Age recommendation: from three years of age.
- Warning. None of the packaging materials or attachments are part of the toy itself, and must always be removed for safety reasons before the product is given to children to play with.
- Children may only play with the product under adult supervision.
- Adult assembly required.
- Do not make any modifications to the product.
- The product must be placed on level ground when in use, without e.g. obstacles, stumbling blocks etc.
- Danger of tipping! Stabilise the product by filling the base with water or sand.
- Warning. Do not climb onto the product.
- The product is not a toy or climbing apparatus! Ensure that people, especially children, do not pull themselves up on the product or hold on to it. The product is not designed for heavy loads. Do not hang any objects from the product.
- Refrain from wearing jewellery, scarves or anything that may catch on the net or other parts of the basketball hoop.
- Check regularly to make sure all screws are tight.
- Use the product only in favourable weather conditions. Do not use the product in gusty conditions, heavy rain or thunderstorms.
- Check the product for damage or wear before each use. Only use the product if it is in perfect condition!
Preventing damage to the product!
- Secure the product during extreme weather conditions, e.g. strong wind. Store the product in a sheltered area.
Assembly
Refer to the figures for visual guidance.
- Attach the lower section (7) of the pole and the rollers (9) to the base (4) with the axle (8) (Fig. B). Push the axle (8) into the side of the base (4) from below.
- Fill the base (4) completely with water or fine sand (Fig. B).
- Seal the filling hole on the base (4) with the stopper (11).
- To stabilise the pole, screw the metal struts (10) left and right onto the pole, as shown in Fig. C. Note: start by attaching the metal struts (10) to the pole, then attach them to the base (4).
- Connect the middle pole section (6) with the lower section (7) using screw (17), washers (21), and nut (23) (Fig. D).
- Insert screws (14) through the upper section (5), the board (1), and the hoop (2) (Fig. E). Attach the components with screws (14), washers (17), and nuts (21).
- Attach the net (3) to the hoop (2) as shown in Fig. F.
- Insert the upper pole section (5) into the middle section (6) and secure it with screw (13) and set screw (12).
Adjusting the Hoop Height (Fig. G)
The height of the product can be adjusted between 170 and 210 cm.
- Unscrew the set screw (12) and screws (13).
- Push or pull the upper pole section (5) to the desired height.
- Insert screws (13) into the holes in the upper pole section (5) and tighten the set screw (12).
Mounting the Board on the Wall
You have the option of using the basketball hoop without the pole and base. Mount the board (1) on a suitable, stable wall (e.g., external house or garage wall) using the provided holes.
Pay attention to the following when attaching it:
- Before drilling, make sure there are no power or other supply lines running through the wall. If necessary, select a different location.
- Use suitable mounting materials (not included in the package contents) for wall mounting. Enquire at a specialist store about wall characteristics and suitable wall plugs and screws.
Storage, Cleaning
When not in use, always store the product dry, empty, and clean at room temperature. Clean only with water and a mild detergent, and wipe dry afterwards with a cloth.
IMPORTANT! Never clean the product with harsh cleaning agents.
Disposal
Dispose of the product and packaging materials in accordance with current local regulations. Store packaging materials (foil bags, for example) out of the reach of children. For further information about disposal of the product no longer needed, contact your local council. Dispose of the product and packaging in an environmentally friendly manner.
The Recycling Code distinguishes different materials to be returned for recycling. The Code consists of a recycling symbol for the recycling process and a number that identifies the material.
Notes on Guarantee and Service Handling
The product was produced with great care and under continuous quality control. DELTA-SPORT HANDELSKONTOR GmbH gives private end customers a three-year guarantee on this product from the date of purchase (guarantee period) in accordance with the following provisions. The guarantee is only valid for material and manufacturing defects. The guarantee does not cover parts that are subject to normal wear and tear and that are thus considered wear parts (e.g. batteries) and it does not cover fragile parts such as switches or parts made of glass.
Claims under this guarantee are excluded if the product has been used incorrectly, improperly, or contrary to the intended purpose, or if the provisions in the instructions for use were not observed, unless the end customer proves that a material or manufacturing defect exists that was not caused by one of the aforementioned circumstances.
Claims under the guarantee can only be made within the guarantee period by presenting the original sales receipt. Please therefore keep the original sales receipt. The guarantee period is not extended by any repairs carried out under the guarantee, under statutory guarantees, or as a gesture of goodwill. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts.
If you wish to make a claim, please first contact the service hotline mentioned below or contact us by e-mail. If there is a guarantee case, then the product will be repaired or replaced free of charge to you or the purchase price will be refunded, depending on our choice. There are no further rights from the guarantee.
Your legal rights, in particular guarantee claims against the respective seller, are not limited by this guarantee.
