• Charging: Use only a certified Safety Extra Low Voltage (SELV) supply unit with 5V, ≥1A output. For moist environments (e.g., bathroom), use an IPX4 (splash-proof) unit. A suitable unit (e.g., Philips HQ87) is available at www.philips.com/support. Contact the Consumer Care Center for assistance with USB supply units. Using non-certified units is hazardous.
• Keep the USB cable, USB supply unit, and charging stand dry.
• The appliance is waterproof (IPX4) and suitable for use in the bath or shower, and for cleaning under the tap. For safety, it can only be used without a cord.
• Children aged 8+ and persons with reduced capabilities may use the appliance under supervision or with instruction, understanding the risks. Children must not play with, clean, or maintain the appliance unsupervised.
• Do not modify the supply unit.
• Do not use the supply unit near electric air fresheners to prevent damage.
• Do not use a damaged appliance; replace damaged parts with genuine Philips parts.
• For hygiene, use by one person only.
• Unplug before cleaning with water.
• Clean with cold or lukewarm water only.
• Never use compressed air, scouring pads, abrasive cleaners, or aggressive liquids.

• Water dripping from the socket during rinsing is normal due to the sealed unit.
• Use only original Philips accessories/consumables.
• Charge, use, and store between 10°C and 35°C.
• Keep away from fire, direct sunlight, and high temperatures.
• If the product overheats, smells, changes color, or charges slowly, stop use and contact Philips.
• Do not place products or batteries in microwave ovens or on induction cookers.
• Do not open, modify, pierce, damage, or dismantle the product or battery to prevent overheating or release of toxic substances. Do not short-circuit, overcharge, or reverse charge batteries.
• If batteries are damaged or leaking, avoid skin/eye contact. Rinse with water and seek medical care.

Getting Started:

Charging the Appliance:

• Connect the USB cable to the trimmer and a suitable 5V, ≥1A power source.
• The charging indicator light [charging-indicator] will show the charging status.
• A full charge (60 minutes) provides up to 120 minutes of cordless use [cordless-use].

How to Use:

Beard and Hair Trimming:

• Select the desired comb attachment or use the trimmer without a comb for a stubble effect (approx. 0.5mm).
• Attach the comb securely to the trimmer unit.
• For trimming, move the trimmer against the direction of hair growth.
• Use the adjustable combs for precise length settings (e.g., 1mm to 20mm, depending on the comb).

Using Specific Attachments:

• Detail Trimmer: Use for outlining and detailing beard edges, mustaches, and sideburns.
• Nose and Ear Trimmer: Gently insert the trimmer head into the nostril or ear canal and move it to trim hairs.
• Foil Shaver: Hold the skin taut and move the shaver against the direction of hair growth for a close shave.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

Cleaning the Trimmer:

• Ensure the appliance is unplugged before cleaning.
• Rinse the trimmer head and attachments under cold or lukewarm running water.
• Do not use harsh cleaning agents or immerse the main unit in water if not specified as fully waterproof.
• Dry all parts thoroughly after cleaning.

Battery Removal (for disposal)

The built-in rechargeable battery should only be removed by a qualified professional when the appliance is discarded.

Safety Precautions:

• Ensure the appliance is unplugged and the battery is completely empty before removal.
• Use appropriate tools and take necessary safety precautions when opening the appliance and handling the battery.
• Keep hands, product, and battery dry during handling.
• To prevent accidental short-circuiting of removed batteries, do not let terminals contact metal objects. Do not wrap batteries in aluminum foil. Tape terminals or place batteries in a plastic bag before disposal.

Steps for Removal:

1. Check for and remove any screws in the appliance housing.
2. Remove additional screws, panels, or parts until the printed circuit board with the rechargeable battery is visible.
3. Carefully remove the rechargeable battery.
