The EPOMAKER TH80 X is a versatile 75% layout mechanical keyboard featuring hot-swap capabilities, allowing for easy switch replacement. It offers multiple connectivity options including wired (Type-C), 2.4GHz wireless, and Bluetooth (up to 3 devices). The keyboard includes an LED screen for status information and customization, along with a control knob.
The keyboard layout includes a standard QWERTY arrangement, function keys (F1-F12), navigation cluster, and dedicated keys like ESC, DEL, and Caps Lock. The top-right corner features a rotary knob and an LED screen.
Connectivity and Pairing
The EPOMAKER TH80 X supports three connection modes:
- Wired Mode: Connect the keyboard using the included Type-C cable. Press
Fn + 5
to switch to wired mode. - Bluetooth Pairing:
- Toggle the switch on the top-right corner to wireless mode.

for 3-5 seconds to enter pairing mode for respective Bluetooth devices. The LED screen will indicate pairing signals. - On your Bluetooth device, search for "TH80 X BT5.0" or "TH80 X BT3.0" and connect.

- 2.4GHz Wireless Pairing:
- Toggle the switch on the top-right corner to wireless mode.

Knob and LED Screen Interaction
The rotary knob and LED screen offer intuitive control:

to set the main display on the screen. Rotate the knob to cycle through static images, GIFs, or keyboard status. - Press the knob to confirm the main display and enter the menu options.
- Rotate the knob to select menu options like "Photo/GIF", "Lights", "RGB Color", "Brightness", "Speed", "OS Mode", or "Layer". Press the knob to enter a selected menu, rotate to choose an option, and press again to confirm and return to the menu.

again to exit the interaction. The knob can then be used for volume control and mute functions.
Note: If the knob is not pressed or rotated for 5 seconds during menu selection (Step 3), the display will revert to the main screen. Press the knob again to continue menu selection.

Replacing Keycaps and Switches
The EPOMAKER TH80 X features hot-swappable switches, allowing for easy customization and replacement without soldering.
Tools Included: Switch Puller, Keycap Puller.
To Remove Switches:
- Align the gripping teeth of the Switch Removal Tool vertically at the center of the switch.
- Grip the switch with the tool and apply pressure until it releases from the plate.
- Gently pull the switch away from the keyboard using a vertical motion. Ensure the pins are aligned with the slots when removing.
To Install Switches:
- Ensure the switch pins are perfectly straight and clean.
- Align the switch vertically so the pins match the keyboard PCB slots. The Gateron logo should face north.
- Press the switch down firmly until you hear a click, indicating it's secured.
- Inspect and test the switch to ensure proper installation.
Note: If a key doesn't work, check for bent pins. If pins are damaged, they may need replacement. Avoid excessive force during installation.
