05 Connecting to a TV

Connect to a TV that supports HDMI ARC (Audio Return Channel)

Caution: HDMI signal takes priority over optical if both are connected. Ensure the cable is connected to the ARC port. Using HDMI cables certified by HDMI.org is recommended.

Connection Steps:

  1. With the soundbar and TV off, connect the HDMI cable from the TV's HDMI IN (eARC/ARC) port to the soundbar's HDMI TO TV (eARC/ARC) port.
  2. Turn on the soundbar and TV.
  3. The display should show "TV ARC", and TV audio will play through the soundbar.

Troubleshooting: If no TV sound, press the (Multi) button ?️ or (Source) button ? on the remote to switch to TV ARC mode. If connected to a TV with eARC, "TV eARC" will display. Ensure eARC function is enabled in TV settings (e.g., Samsung TV: Home (?) → Menu → Settings (⚙️) → All Settings (⚙️) → Sound → Expert Settings → HDMI-eARC Mode (Auto)). If "TV ARC" doesn't appear, check cable connection. TV remote volume buttons can control soundbar volume.

Connecting Using an Optical Cable

Pre-connection Checklist: HDMI takes priority if both are connected. Remove the caps from the optical cable before use.

Connection Steps:

  1. With the TV and soundbar off, connect the DIGITAL AUDIO IN (OPTICAL) port on the soundbar to the OPTICAL OUT port on the external device using an optical cable.
  2. Turn on the soundbar and TV.
  3. Select D.IN mode using the (Multi) button ?️ or (Source) button ?.
