Safety and Use
Please read this section carefully before using your device. The manufacturer is not liable for damage resulting from improper use or use contrary to these instructions.
General Safety Precautions
- Do not use your device while driving if the vehicle is not safely parked. Using a hand-held device while driving is illegal in many countries.
- Comply with restrictions on use in specific locations such as hospitals, airplanes, gas stations, and schools.
- Switch the device off before boarding an aircraft.
- Switch the device off in healthcare facilities, unless specific areas are designated for device use.
- Switch the device off when near gas or flammable liquids. Strictly obey all signs and instructions in fuel depots, petrol stations, chemical plants, or any potentially explosive atmosphere.
- Turn off your mobile device when in a blasting area or in areas posted with notifications requesting "two-way radios" or "electronic devices" to be turned off, to avoid interfering with blasting operations.
- Consult your doctor and the device manufacturer to determine if your device may interfere with medical devices (e.g., pacemakers, hearing aids, insulin pumps). Keep the device at least 15 cm (approx. 6 inches) away from any medical device when it is switched on.
- Do not allow children to use or play with the device and accessories without supervision.
Radio Wave Exposure
To reduce exposure to radio waves, it is recommended to:
- Use the device under good signal reception conditions (indicated by four or five bars on the screen).
- Use a hands-free kit.
- Use the device reasonably, especially for children and adolescents. Avoid night calls and limit the frequency and duration of calls.
- Keep the device away from the belly of pregnant women or the lower abdomen of adolescents.
Environmental Conditions
Do not expose your device to adverse weather or environmental conditions, including moisture, humidity, rain, liquid infiltration, dust, or sea air. The recommended operating temperature range is 0°C (32°F) to 40°C (104°F). Temperatures above 40°C (104°F) may temporarily impair display legibility.
Device and Accessory Care
- Use only batteries, battery chargers, and accessories compatible with your device model.
- Do not use a damaged device, such as one with a cracked display or a dented back cover, as it may cause injury or harm.
- Avoid keeping the device connected to the charger with a fully charged battery for extended periods, as this can cause overheating and shorten battery life.
- Do not sleep with the device on your person or in your bed. Do not place the device under a blanket, pillow, or your body, especially when connected to the charger, as this may cause the device to overheat.
Protect Your Hearing
To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long periods. Exercise caution when holding your device near your ear while the loudspeaker is in use.
Battery Safety
In accordance with air regulations, the battery may not be fully charged upon purchase; please charge it first.
- Do not attempt to open the battery due to the risk of toxic fumes and burns.
- For devices with non-removable batteries, do not attempt to eject or replace the battery.
- Do not puncture, disassemble, or cause a short circuit in the battery.
- For unibody devices, do not attempt to open or puncture the back cover.
- Do not burn or dispose of used batteries or devices in household rubbish. Do not store them at temperatures above 60°C (140°F), as this can result in an explosion or leakage of flammable liquid or gas. Similarly, subjecting the battery to extremely low air pressure may cause an explosion or leakage.
- Use batteries only for their intended purpose and never use damaged batteries.
CAUTION: RISK OF EXPLOSION IF BATTERY IS REPLACED BY AN INCORRECT TYPE. DISPOSE OF USED BATTERIES ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS.
Device, accessories, and batteries must be disposed of in accordance with locally applicable environmental regulations.
Technical Specifications and Compliance
Product Disposal
The recycling symbol [♻️] on your device, battery, and accessories indicates that these products must be taken to designated collection points at the end of their life. This ensures they are recycled, preventing environmental disposal of components.
- Municipal waste disposal centers with specific bins for electronic equipment.
- Collection bins at points of sale.
Chargers
Home AC/Travel chargers operate within a temperature range of 0°C (32°F) to 40°C (104°F). Chargers are designed to meet safety standards for information technology and office equipment. Note that chargers purchased in one jurisdiction may not work in another due to different electrical specifications.
Charger Characteristics (example for travel charger):
- Input: 100-240V, 50/60Hz, 0.15A
- Output: 5V, 0.55A
Battery Type: 1000mAh hardpack.
Radio Waves and RF Exposure
This device meets government requirements for radio wave exposure. The Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) limit is 1.6 W/kg averaged over 1 gram of body tissue, as set by authorities like the FCC and ISEDC. Tests are conducted using standard operating positions at the device's highest certified power level across all tested frequency bands.
The device complies with SAR limits for general population/uncontrolled exposure (ANSI/IEEE C95.1-1992) and was tested according to IEEE1528 standards.
The FCC has granted Equipment Authorization for this model, confirming compliance with FCC RF exposure guidelines. The FCC ID is 2ACCJB196. SAR information can be found on the FCC website: www.fcc.gov/oet/ea/fccid.
The highest SAR values measured were 1.29 W/Kg for use at the ear and 1.12 W/Kg for use close to the body. These values meet government requirements.
For body-worn operation, the device meets FCC RF exposure guidelines when used with a non-metallic accessory, keeping the handset at least 15 mm from the body. Use of other accessories may not ensure compliance.
Additional information on SAR is available from the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association (CTIA) at www.ctia.org/.
FCC Part 15 Compliance
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in residential installations.
This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. If not installed and used according to instructions, it may cause harmful interference to radio communications. While no guarantee is made against reception interference, users are encouraged to try correcting interference by:
- Reorienting or relocating the receiving antenna.
- Increasing the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connecting the equipment to an outlet on a circuit different from the receiver's.
- Consulting a dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician.
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
For devices operating a licensed radio service (e.g., FM broadcast), the following statement applies:
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
- This device may not cause harmful interference.
- This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
