Please read this chapter carefully before using your device. TCL Communication Ltd. disclaims liability for damage resulting from improper use or use contrary to these instructions.
- Do not use the device while driving unless safely parked. Using a handheld device while driving is illegal in many countries.
- Comply with usage restrictions in specific locations such as hospitals, airplanes, gas stations, and schools.
- Switch off the device before boarding an aircraft.
- Switch off the device in healthcare facilities unless in designated areas.
- Switch off the device near gas or flammable liquids. Obey all signs and instructions in fuel depots, petrol stations, chemical plants, or potentially explosive atmospheres.
- Turn off the device in blasting areas or areas where notifications request "two-way radios" or "electronic devices" to be turned off to avoid interfering with blasting operations.
- Consult a doctor and the device manufacturer to determine if your device may interfere with medical devices. Keep the device at least 15 cm (approx. 6 inches) away from medical devices like pacemakers, hearing aids, or insulin pumps when the device is on.
- Do not let children use or play with the device or accessories unsupervised.
- To reduce radio wave exposure:
- Use the device under good signal reception conditions (four or five bars on the screen).
- Use a hands-free kit.
- Use the device reasonably, especially for children and adolescents, by avoiding night calls and limiting call frequency and duration.
- Keep the device away from the abdomen of pregnant women or the lower abdomen of adolescents.
- Do not expose the device to adverse weather or environmental conditions (moisture, humidity, rain, liquid ingress, dust, sea air, etc.). The recommended operating temperature range is 0°C (32°F) to 40°C (104°F). Display legibility may be impaired above 40°C (104°F), but this is temporary.
Device, Battery, and Charger Care
- Use only batteries, chargers, and accessories compatible with your device model.
- Do not use a damaged device (e.g., cracked display, dented back cover) as it may cause injury.
- Do not keep the device connected to the charger with a fully charged battery for extended periods, as this can cause overheating and shorten battery life.
- Do not sleep with the device on your person or in your bed. Do not place the device under blankets, pillows, or your body, especially when connected to the charger, as this may cause overheating.
Hearing Protection
To prevent hearing damage, avoid listening at high volumes for long periods. Exercise caution when holding the device near your ear while using the loudspeaker. Always use Alcatel headphones.
Battery Information
- The battery is not fully charged upon purchase due to air regulations. Charge it before first use.
- Do not attempt to open the battery due to the risk of toxic fumes and burns.
- For devices with non-removable batteries, do not attempt to eject or replace the battery.
- Do not puncture, disassemble, or short-circuit the battery.
- For unibody devices, do not attempt to open or puncture the back cover.
- Do not burn or dispose of batteries or devices in household waste. Do not expose them to temperatures above 60°C (140°F), as this can cause explosion or leakage of flammable liquids/gases. Avoid extremely low air pressure, which can also cause explosion or leakage.
- Use the battery only for its intended purpose. Never use damaged batteries.
- CAUTION: RISK OF EXPLOSION IF BATTERY IS REPLACED BY AN INCORRECT TYPE. DISPOSE OF USED BATTERIES ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS.

Radio Waves and Exposure
This phone complies with government requirements for radio wave exposure. The exposure standard is measured by the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR). The SAR limit set by authorities like the FCC (US) and ISEDC (Canada) is 1.6 W/kg averaged over 1 gram of body tissue.
SAR tests are conducted using standard operating positions at the device's highest certified power level across all tested frequency bands. This device complies with SAR limits for general population/uncontrolled exposure as per ANSI/IEEE C95.1-1992 and IEEE1528.
The FCC has granted Equipment Authorization for this model, with all reported SAR levels compliant with FCC RF exposure guidelines. SAR information is on file with the FCC and can be found at www.fcc.gov/oet/ea/fccid by searching FCC ID: 2ACCJB196.
The highest SAR values tested are 1.29 W/Kg for ear use and 1.12 W/Kg for body-worn use.
For body-worn operation, the device meets FCC RF exposure guidelines when used with a non-metallic accessory and kept at least 15 mm from the body. Other accessories may not ensure compliance.
Additional SAR information is available on the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association (CTIA) website: www.ctia.org/.
FCC Compliance and Interference
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.
This equipment generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. If not installed and used according to instructions, it may cause harmful interference to radio communications. While no guarantee is made against interference, users are encouraged to correct interference by:
- Reorienting or relocating the receiving antenna.
- Increasing the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connecting the equipment to an outlet on a circuit different from the receiver's circuit.
- Consulting a dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician.
Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
For devices associated with licensed radio services (e.g., FM broadcast), the following statement applies:
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to two conditions: (1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Your device is a transceiver operating on GSM (quad-band: 850/900/1800/1900), 3G (penta-band: B1/2/4/5/8), or 4G (B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/13/28/40).
