The Fosi Audio BT30D PRO is a HiFi Bluetooth 5.0 power amplifier designed for home audio systems. It features controls for subwoofer volume and frequency, as well as bass and treble adjustments. It supports both Bluetooth and RCA inputs, making it versatile for various audio sources and compatible with most passive speakers and passive/powered subwoofers.

Front Panel Description:

Power Switch: Turns the amplifier on or off.
Input Mode Indicator: Shows the current input source. Red indicates RCA input, and Blue indicates Bluetooth input.
SUB FREQ: Subwoofer Frequency Control knob.
SUB VOL: Subwoofer Volume Control knob.
TREBLE: Treble Control knob.
BASS: Bass Control knob.
Volume Control: Main volume adjustment knob.

Rear Panel Description:

Bluetooth Antenna: For wireless Bluetooth connectivity.

Quick Setup

How to Use?

Step 1: Power and Speaker Connection

Connect the power adapter to the socket and the BT30D PRO. Ensure the green LED light on the power adapter is on.
Connect the active (powered) speakers to the BT30D PRO.
Connect passive speakers to the BT30D PRO using banana plugs or bare wire. Then turn on the power switch.

Step 2: Input Source Connection

RCA line input: Use an RCA cable to connect the BT30D PRO and your device. The input mode indicator light will turn red after a successful connection.
Bluetooth input: Turn on Bluetooth on your device, then select "Fosi Audio BT30D PRO" for pairing. The input mode indicator light will turn blue after a successful connection. Once Bluetooth is connected, the RCA input will be interrupted. To use RCA input again, disconnect Bluetooth.

Step 3: Enjoy Your Audio

Adjust the volume control, SUB volume/Frequency control, Bass/Treble control, then enjoy your audio.

Note: Make sure that all the cables are completely pushed into the device.

Q&A / Troubleshooting

1. Get noise when playing music?

Try using other Bluetooth devices. Weak or unstable Bluetooth signal can cause this problem; try moving your device closer to the BT30D PRO.
Try another RCA cable and ensure the audio cable is connected correctly.
Unplug the RCA cable from the amplifier, then turn it on to try again.
Change the audio cable and audio source to test.
Check if the "treble" volume is set to maximum. Reduce the "Treble" volume.
The gain of BT30D PRO is higher than other models. Reducing the "Treble" volume can help. Some sensitive speakers may exhibit noticeable white noise, which is normal when the "Treble" volume is turned up.
Ensure all cables are completely pushed into the device; incomplete connections can cause issues.
Keep this device away from other electronic devices.
Check if the indicator light on the front panel of the amplifier and the power supply are on. If the indicator light is on, check if the volume knob is at the minimum state; if so, turn up the volume.
Ensure BT30D PRO is in the desired playback mode.

Note: Bluetooth input mode: input mode indicator light turns blue. RCA input mode: input mode indicator light turns red. Once Bluetooth is connected, RCA input is interrupted.

Check if the audio source is paused.
Try changing the sound source, cables, and speakers/subwoofer.
Restart the BT30D PRO and your device, then try to connect again.

Note: Make sure that all the cables are completely pushed into the device.

3. My Bluetooth device can't pair with BT30D PRO?

Ensure BT30D PRO is on and the power adapter's LED light is green.
Ensure BT30D PRO is not paired with other devices.
Ensure the distance between your device and BT30D PRO is not too great; move your device closer to BT30D PRO to test.
Ensure there are no obstacles between your device and BT30D PRO, as obstacles affect Bluetooth operation distance.
Try changing to another Bluetooth audio source for testing.
Replug the power supply, move the amplifier to another room, and test again.
Restart the BT30D PRO and try connecting again. Consider using a different brand of mobile phone.

4. One channel does not work?

First, test if the Bluetooth and RCA inputs have the same problem.
If both modes have the same issue, swap the left and right channel speaker cables, or try another speaker, then test if that channel still fails.
If only RCA or Bluetooth mode fails, change the audio source, change the RCA cable, and test again. Ensure all cables are completely pushed into the device.

5. Can I connect a turntable to it?

If your turntable has a built-in phono preamp, you can directly connect the BT30D PRO to your turntable using an RCA cable.
If your turntable does not have a built-in phono preamp, you will need to add a phono preamp to the turntable and BT30D PRO, similar to the Fosi Audio BOX X2.

6. Can't power on?

Ensure the LED light on the power adapter is on.
If it does not light up: unplug the power adapter from the BT30D PRO, plug the power adapter directly into the AC power source, and check if the LED lights up. If it still does not light up, the power adapter may be faulty. Please contact Fosi Audio for a replacement.
Check if you have another DC12-36V power adapter at home. You can use a camera or router's power adapter to connect to the BT30D PRO to test if it can be turned on.

7. Sound quality is not good?

Ensure all cables are fully connected.
Adjust the treble and bass controls of the power amplifier to achieve the desired tone.
Try changing the sound source and cables to test.

8. Does the BT30D PRO support Bluetooth aptX and Low Latency?

No. BT30D PRO does not support Dolby, aptX, aptX HD, and aptX Low Latency.

9. Can this amp be left on all the time?

Yes, it can be connected all the time and is safe without significant power consumption.

10. Should I unplug the power cord?

If the item will not be used for a long time, unplug the power cord to prevent damage from lightning strikes.

11. Do I have to connect all the outputs of BT30D PRO? Can I only connect one speaker? Or just use it as a subwoofer preamp?

Yes, you can. You do not need to connect all outputs.

12. Can the BT30D PRO be used as a 2.0 channel power amplifier? Can it be used without connecting the subwoofer?

Yes.

13. What does the SUB freq knob do? Does it only adjust the frequency output by the passive subwoofer?

The SUB freq knob adjusts the output frequency of the passive subwoofer. The adjustment range is 0-300Hz.

14. Is the Bass adjustment effective for the passive subwoofer of the BT30D PRO?

Yes, it works.

15. Why is Bluetooth intermittent?

Try changing the Bluetooth device.
Ensure there is no interference from other electronic equipment between the BT30D PRO and the audio source.
Place the sound source close to the BT30D PRO.
Replug the power adapter.

16. What speakers are suitable for the BT30D PRO?

The BT30D PRO is suitable for most home audio-visual systems. It can drive 20-200 watt, 2-8 ohm speakers.

17. Why does the sound cut in and cut out?

Try reducing the sound from the sound source.
Try changing the audio source to test.
Reduce the volume of the treble and bass amplifier.
Ensure the positive and negative poles of the speaker output do not touch each other. Some larger banana plugs can easily touch, causing a short circuit.

18. Can I take the BT30D PRO to other countries?

Yes, the wide voltage AC 110V-240V for power input can be used in any country. You only need to match the power cord adapter for the corresponding country.
