JBL Media 2000

The JBL Media 2000 is a pair of satellite loudspeakers designed for clear audio reproduction.

JBL Media Sub2000

The JBL Media Sub2000 is a powered subwoofer designed to complement the Media 2000 satellite speakers or existing satellite systems.

This document covers the (230V) models.

1. Placement

Media 2000

For optimal performance and stereo imaging, slightly angle the Media 2000 speakers toward the listening position.

2. Connections

Media 2000 without subwoofer

Connect the Line Out from your computer sound card or portable CD player to the Line In of the Primary Speaker. The Primary Speaker's output connects to the Secondary Speaker's input.

Media 2000 with Media Sub2000 subwoofer

Connect the Line Out from your computer sound card or portable CD player to the Line In of the Primary Speaker. The Primary Speaker's output connects to the Secondary Speaker's input. Additionally, connect the Subwoofer Out from the Primary Speaker to the Audio In of the Media Sub2000.

Media Sub2000 with existing satellite speakers

Connect the Line Out from your computer sound card or portable CD player to the Audio In of the Media Sub2000. The Audio Out of the Media Sub2000 connects to the Line In of your existing satellite speakers.

3. Operation

Media 2000 Controls

  • Volume: Rotate the volume knob clockwise to increase the volume level, and counterclockwise to decrease it.
  • Treble: Rotate the treble knob clockwise to increase the treble level, and counterclockwise to decrease it.
  • Bass: Rotate the bass knob clockwise to increase the bass level, and counterclockwise to decrease it.

Multiposition Directional Adjustment: The Media 2000 speakers feature a multiposition adjustment that allows you to tilt the speakers toward the listening area. This enables precise positioning for ideal sound reproduction and imaging.

Media Sub2000 Controls

  • Level: Rotate the level knob clockwise to increase the output level, and counterclockwise to decrease it.

Automatic Turn-On/Turn-Off

The Media 2000 and Media Sub2000 are equipped with an automatic turn-on/turn-off feature. The system will turn off if the connected source equipment (computer or CD player) has no sound output for approximately fifteen minutes. It will automatically turn back on when a signal is present.
