Note: ?
- The cooking time for rice ?, grain ?, and pilaf ? is determined by the multicooker based on the quantity of ingredients.
- You can adjust the cooking temperature for bake ?, manual ⚙️, and multicook Pro ✨. For bake ?, the temperature range is 40°C to 160°C; for manual ⚙️ and multicook Pro ✨, it's 30°C to 160°C.
- After the cooking process starts, pressing the Start/Off button ▶️/⏹️ deactivates the current process, switching the multicooker to standby mode.
Using the Multicooker (Fig. 4)
Description of Diagram: Demonstrates general usage steps. The diagram shows various actions like adding ingredients to the pot (a), wiping the pot (d), placing it in the unit (e), closing the lid (f), plugging in (g), and pressing buttons on the control panel (h, i, j, k, l, m, n, o, p, q, r, s, t, u, v, w, x, y, z, {, |, }).
Note: ?
- For all menus, do not exceed the MAX indication on the inside of the inner pot when adding ingredients and liquid, as food may overflow during cooking (fig. a).
- The cooking time does not display immediately for rice ?, grain ?, and pilaf ?. The display shows --- during the initial stage as the multicooker detects water/liquid and ingredient volume. Once detected, the remaining cooking time is shown.
- For porridge ?, steam ?, boil ?, jelly meat ?, and drinks ?, the display shows --- before the water/liquid boils. After boiling starts, the set cooking time is displayed.
- Refer to the recipe booklet for more details on cooking with each menu.
Tip: To select a menu, touch "menu" ☰ repeatedly, or touch "menu" ☰ once and then use the increase ➕ or decrease ➖ buttons.
Before First Use
- Take out all accessories from the inner pot and remove packaging material.
- Clean all parts of the multicooker thoroughly before first use (see chapter `Cleaning and Maintenance').
Note: Make sure all parts are completely dry before using the multicooker.
Cooking Rice ? and Grain ?
Note: ? If the voltage is unstable, food may overflow. After cooking, stir rice/grain immediately to release moisture for fluffiness. The bottom may become slightly browned depending on conditions.
- Rinse rice, put it in the inner pot, and fill with water (fig. b). Note: For details on rice/grain to water ratio, refer to the recipe booklet.
- Press the lid release button l to open the lid (fig. c).
- Wipe the outside of the inner pot dry (fig. d), and place it in the multicooker (fig. e). Note: Ensure proper contact with the heating element and that the pot's exterior and heating element are clean and dry.
- Close the lid (fig. f), and plug in the power cord (fig. g).
- Touch "menu" ☰ to select "rice" ? (fig. h) or "grain" ? (fig. i).
- Touch and hold "start" ▶️/⏹️ for 3 seconds to confirm and start cooking (fig. j).
- When cooking finishes, the appliance beeps and automatically enters warm keeping mode.
Making Pilaf ?
Note: ? If the voltage is unstable, food may overflow.
- Put pilaf ingredients into the inner pot.
- Wipe the outside of the inner pot dry (fig. d), and place it in the multicooker (fig. e).
- Close the lid (fig. f), and plug in the power cord (fig. g).
- Touch "menu" ☰ to select "pilaf" ? (fig. k).
- Touch and hold "start" ▶️/⏹️ for 3 seconds to confirm and start cooking (fig. j).
- When cooking finishes, the appliance beeps and automatically enters warm keeping mode.
Cooking Porridge ?
Note: ? If the voltage is unstable, food may overflow.
- Put porridge ingredients into the inner pot and stir slightly.
- Wipe the outside of the inner pot dry (fig. d), and place it in the multicooker (fig. e).
- Close the lid (fig. f), and plug in the power cord (fig. g).
- Touch "menu" ☰ to select "porridge" ? (fig. l). To choose a different cooking time, refer to "Setting up the cooking time".
- Touch and hold "start" ▶️/⏹️ for 3 seconds to confirm and start cooking (fig. j).
- When cooking finishes, the appliance beeps and automatically enters warm keeping mode.
Note: ? The display shows --- before boiling. Once boiling starts, the set cooking time is displayed. Refer to the recipe booklet for ingredient and liquid ratios.
Steaming ?
- Pour water into the inner pot. Note: ? Use 0.5L to 2L of water; adjust based on food type.
- Wipe the outside of the inner pot dry (fig. d), and place it in the multicooker (fig. e).
- Place the steam basket in the inner pot, put food in a bowl, and place the bowl on the steam basket. Ensure steaming holes are not fully covered for steam circulation.
- Close the lid (fig. f), and plug in the power cord (fig. g).
- Touch "menu" ☰ to select "steaming" ? (fig. m). To choose a different cooking time, refer to "Setting up the cooking time".
- Touch and hold "start" ▶️/⏹️ for 3 seconds to confirm and start cooking (fig. j).
- When cooking finishes, the appliance beeps and automatically enters warm keeping mode.
Note: ? Do not immerse the steam basket in water. The display shows --- before boiling. Once boiling starts, the set cooking time is displayed. Use oven mitts to remove hot bowls and baskets.
Boiling ?
- Fill the inner pot with water.
- Wipe the outside of the inner pot dry (fig. d), and place it in the multicooker (fig. e).
- Close the lid (fig. f), and plug in the power cord (fig. g).
- Touch "menu" ☰ to select "boil" ? (fig. n). To choose a different cooking time, refer to "Setting up the cooking time".
- Touch and hold "start" ▶️/⏹️ for 3 seconds to confirm and start cooking (fig. j).
- When water boils, the multicooker beeps to remind you to open the lid and add food.

Making Soup ?
- Put soup ingredients and liquid into the inner pot.
- Wipe the outside of the inner pot dry (fig. d), and place it in the multicooker (fig. e).
- Close the lid (fig. f), and plug in the power cord (fig. g).
- Touch "menu" ☰ to select "soup" ? (fig. o). To choose a different cooking time, refer to "Setting up the cooking time".
- Touch and hold "start" ▶️/⏹️ for 3 seconds to confirm and start cooking (fig. j).

Making Drinks ?
- Put drink ingredients in the inner pot.
- Wipe the outside of the inner pot dry (fig. d), and place it in the multicooker (fig. e).
- Close the lid (fig. f), and plug in the power cord (fig. g).
- Touch "menu" ☰ to select "drinks" ? (fig. p). To choose a different cooking time, refer to "Setting up the cooking time".
- Touch and hold "start" ▶️/⏹️ for 3 seconds to confirm and start cooking (fig. j).

Making Stew ? or Ragout ?
- Put stew or ragout ingredients in the inner pot.
- Wipe the outside of the inner pot dry (fig. d), and place it in the multicooker (fig. e).
- Close the lid (fig. f), and plug in the power cord (fig. g).
- Touch "menu" ☰ to select "stew" ? (fig. q) or "ragout" ? (fig. r). To choose a different cooking time, refer to "Setting up the cooking time".
- Touch and hold "start" ▶️/⏹️ for 3 seconds to confirm and start cooking (fig. j).
- When cooking finishes, the appliance beeps and automatically enters warm keeping mode.
Simmering ⏳
- Wipe the outside of the inner pot dry (fig. d), and place it in the multicooker (fig. e).
- Plug in the power cord (fig. g).
- Touch "menu" ☰ to select "simmer" ⏳ (fig. s). To choose a different cooking time, refer to "Setting up the cooking time".
- Touch and hold "start" ▶️/⏹️ for 3 seconds to confirm and start cooking (fig. j).
- When cooking finishes, the appliance beeps and automatically enters warm keeping mode.
Frying ?
- Wipe the outside of the inner pot dry (fig. d), and place it in the multicooker (fig. e).
- Plug in the power cord (fig. g).
- Pour cooking oil into the inner pot.
- Touch "menu" ☰ to select "fry" ? (fig. t).
- Touch and hold "start" ▶️/⏹️ for 3 seconds to confirm and start cooking (fig. j).
- Let the oil heat for 5 minutes, then add ingredients and seasonings.
- Keep the lid open and stir ingredients constantly with a spatula.
- When cooking finishes, the appliance beeps and automatically enters standby mode.
Roasting ?
- Put ingredients into the inner pot.
- Wipe the outside of the inner pot dry (fig. d), and place it in the multicooker (fig. e).
- Close the lid (fig. f), and plug in the power cord (fig. g).
- Touch "menu" ☰ to select "roast" ? (fig. u).
- Touch and hold "start" ▶️/⏹️ for 3 seconds to confirm and start cooking (fig. j).
- Roasting has two stages. After the first stage (approx. 35 min, 130°C), the multicooker beeps every 30 seconds for 5 minutes as a reminder to open the lid and turn the food. The remaining cooking time (25 minutes) displays.
- Touch "menu" ☰ to start the second stage (120°C). If "menu" ☰ is not touched within 5 minutes after the first stage, the multicooker enters warm keeping.
- When cooking finishes, the appliance beeps and automatically enters standby mode.
Baking ?
- Put baking ingredients in the inner pot.
- Wipe the outside of the inner pot dry (fig. d), and place it in the multicooker (fig. e).
- Close the lid (fig. f), and plug in the power cord (fig. g).
- Touch "menu" ☰ to select "bake" ? (fig. v). To choose a different baking temperature, refer to "Setting up the cooking temperature". To choose a different cooking time, refer to "Setting up the cooking time".
- Touch and hold "start" ▶️/⏹️ for 3 seconds to confirm and start cooking (fig. j).
- When cooking finishes, the appliance beeps and automatically enters warm keeping mode.
Note: ?
- If baking temperature is set below 80°C, the appliance turns to standby mode automatically after cooking.
- When baking cake, keep the lid closed. Baking at 130°C for 45 minutes usually gives the best result.
- If baking other food at temperatures above 140°C, keep the lid open.
- Use oven mitts to remove the inner pot after cooking, as it can be very hot.
Making Jelly Meat ?
- Put jelly meat ingredients in the inner pot.
- Wipe the outside of the inner pot dry (fig. d), and place it in the multicooker (fig. e).
- Close the lid (fig. f), and plug in the power cord (fig. g).
- Touch "menu" ☰ to select "jelly meat" ? (fig. w). To choose a different cooking time, refer to "Setting up the cooking time".
- Touch and hold "start" ▶️/⏹️ for 3 seconds to confirm and start cooking (fig. j).
- When cooking finishes, the appliance beeps and automatically enters warm keeping mode.

Making Yogurt ? or Sour Milk ?
- Mix yogurt or sour milk ingredients well and put them in the inner pot.
- Wipe the outside of the inner pot dry (fig. d), and place it in the multicooker (fig. e).
- Close the lid (fig. f), and plug in the power cord (fig. g).
- Touch "menu" ☰ to select "yogurt" ? (fig. x) or "sour milk" ? (fig. y). To choose a different cooking time, refer to "Setting up the cooking time".
- Touch and hold "start" ▶️/⏹️ for 3 seconds to confirm and start cooking (fig. j).
- When cooking finishes, the appliance beeps and automatically enters standby mode.
Reheating ♨️
- Loosen food and distribute evenly in the inner pot.
- Pour some water onto the food to prevent it from becoming too dry. The amount of water depends on the food quantity.
- Wipe the outside of the inner pot dry (fig. d), and place it in the multicooker (fig. e).
- Close the lid (fig. f), and plug in the power cord (fig. g).
- Touch "menu" ☰ to select "reheat" ♨️ (fig. z). To choose a different cooking time, refer to "Setting up the cooking time".
- Touch and hold "start" ▶️/⏹️ for 3 seconds to confirm and start cooking (fig. j).
- When cooking finishes, the appliance beeps and automatically enters warm keeping mode.
Manual ⚙️
Use manual mode for more control over cooking time and temperature.
- Put ingredients into the inner pot.
- Wipe the outside of the inner pot dry (fig. d), and place it in the multicooker (fig. e).
- Close the lid (fig. f), and plug in the power cord (fig. g).
- Touch "menu" ☰ to select "manual" ⚙️ (fig. {). To choose a different cooking temperature, refer to "Setting up the cooking temperature". To choose a different cooking time, refer to "Setting up the cooking time".
- Touch and hold "start" ▶️/⏹️ for 3 seconds to confirm and start cooking (fig. j).
- When cooking finishes, the appliance beeps and automatically enters warm keeping mode.
Note: ?
- If temperature is below 80°C, the multicooker automatically turns to standby after cooking.
- If temperature is above 140°C, the top lid must be open during cooking.
Multicook Pro ✨
With Multicook Pro, you can set up to 9 cooking stages with different time and temperature. For example, 5 minutes at 160°C, then 10 minutes at 100°C, and finally 20 minutes at 80°C.
- When the multicooker is in standby mode, touch "multicook Pro" ✨ (fig. |). "1" lights up on the screen.
- Refer to "Setting up the cooking time" and select the cooking time for stage 1.
- Refer to "Setting up the cooking temperature" and select the cooking temperature for stage 1.
- Touch "multicook Pro" ✨ again to move to stage 2 (fig. }). "2" lights up on the screen.
- Set the cooking time and temperature for stage 2.
- Repeat steps until all stages are set, then touch and hold "start" ▶️/⏹️ for 3 seconds to confirm and start cooking (fig. j).
Note: ? The total cooking time for all stages has a maximum limit of 24 hours.
Warm Keeping
For functions with warm keeping, you can choose to activate or deactivate it after cooking.
- Before starting a cooking function with warm keeping, the keep-warm indicator ? will flash. If you start directly, warm keeping activates automatically after cooking.
- If you press the keep-warm button ? before starting, the indicator will go off. The multicooker will enter standby mode automatically after cooking.
Note: ? The maximum warm keeping time is 24 hours. Warm keeping mode does not apply to: Multicook Pro ✨, Yogurt ?, Fry ?, Manual ⚙️, and Bake ? (only when baking below 80°C).
Setting up the Cooking Time ⏱️
Adjust cooking time for some functions. Refer to "Functions overview" for regulating ranges.
- Select the desired cooking menu.
- Touch "cooking time" ⏱️ (fig. ~). The hour unit starts flashing.
- Touch "increase" ➕ or "decrease" ➖ to set the hour unit (fig. ).
- After setting hours, touch "cooking time" ⏱️ again (fig. ). The minute unit starts flashing.
- Touch "increase" ➕ or "decrease" ➖ to set the minute unit (fig. ).
- Touch and hold "start" ▶️/⏹️ for 3 seconds to confirm and start cooking (fig. j).
Note: ? If the multicooker is idle for 10 seconds after "cooking time" ⏱️ is touched, it beeps for 15 seconds, allowing time setting. If no button is touched, it enters standby. For functions with max cooking time under 1 hour, the minute unit flashes first when "cooking time" ⏱️ is touched.
Preset Time ⏰ for Delayed Cooking
Preset the delayed cooking time for some functions. Refer to "Functions overview" for preset time details.
- Select the desired cooking menu.
- Touch "preset time" ⏰ (fig. ,). The hour unit starts flashing.
- Touch "increase" ➕ or "decrease" ➖ to set the hour unit (fig. ).
- After setting hours, touch "preset" ⏰ again (fig. ,,). The minute unit starts flashing.
- Touch "increase" ➕ or "decrease" ➖ to set the minute unit (fig. ...).
- Touch and hold "start" ▶️/⏹️ for 3 seconds to confirm and start cooking (fig. j).
Note: ? If the multicooker is idle for 10 seconds after "preset" ⏰ is touched, it beeps for 15 seconds, allowing time setting. If no button is touched, it enters standby. The cooking process finishes when the preset time elapses (e.g., 8 hours later).
Setting up the Cooking Temperature ?️
Adjust cooking temperature for some menus. Refer to "Functions overview" for menus with temperature regulation and ranges.
- Select the desired cooking menu.
- Touch "temperature" ?️ (fig. .). The default cooking temperature displays.
- Touch "increase" ➕ or "decrease" ➖ to set the cooking temperature (fig. ).
- Touch and hold "start" ▶️/⏹️ for 3 seconds to confirm and start cooking (fig. j).
Setting up the Child Lock ?
Activate child lock to prevent accidental use or misoperation during cooking.
- Touch and hold "child lock" ? for 3 seconds to activate (fig. ^). The child lock icon lights up.
- To unlock, touch and hold "child lock" ? for 3 seconds again (fig. ). The icon lights off.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Note: ? Unplug the multicooker and wait for it to cool down before cleaning.
Interior
Inside of the top lid and main body; the heating element:
- Wipe with a wrung-out cloth.
- Ensure all food residues stuck to the multicooker are removed.
Exterior
Surface of the top lid and outside of the main body:
- Wipe with a cloth dampened with soapy water.
- Use only a soft, dry cloth to wipe the control panel.
- Ensure all food residues around the control panel are removed.
Accessories
Detachable inner lid, inner pot, steam basket, and detachable steam vent cap:
- Soak in hot water and clean with a sponge.
Recycling
This symbol ♻️ means this product shall not be disposed of with normal household waste (Directive 2012/19/EU). Follow your country's rules for the separate collection of electrical and electronic products. Correct disposal helps prevent negative consequences for the environment and human health.

Troubleshooting
Problem | Solution |

The light on the button does not go on. | There is a connection problem. Check if the power cord is connected properly and the plug is firmly inserted into the power outlet. The light may be defective. Take the appliance to your Philips dealer or an authorized service center. |
The display does not function. | The multicooker is not connected to the power supply. If there is no power, the power failure backup function does not work and the display does not function. |
The ingredients are not cooked. | You did not touch and hold "start" ▶️/⏹️ for 3 seconds. Ensure there is no foreign residue on the heating element and the outside of the inner pot before switching on. The heating element may be damaged, or the inner pot deformed. Take the multicooker to your Philips dealer or an authorized service center. |
The rice is too dry and not well cooked. | Add more water to the rice and cook a bit longer. You might not have rinsed the rice properly; rinse until the water runs clear. |
