PROFLO PFXM334 Two Handle Metering Faucet Installation Instructions
Model: PFXM334
Overview
This document provides installation, care, and troubleshooting instructions for the PROFLO PFXM334 Two Handle Metering Faucet.
Installation Instructions
Important Safety Note: Always turn off the water supply before removing the old faucet or replacing any part of the faucet. Open the faucet handle to relieve water pressure and ensure that water is completely shut off.
Step 1: Preparation
Shut off water supplies. Remove the old faucet. Clean the mounting surface in preparation for the new faucet.

Step 2: Mounting the Faucet
Place the faucet in position on the sink. Apply plumber's putty under the faucet base. Install washers on the shanks and tighten with locknuts from underneath the sink.

Step 3: Connecting Supply Hoses
When using a stainless steel braided faucet supply hose, this faucet requires one end of the supply hose to have a 1/2" female IPS connection. The other end of this supply hose must match the thread on the water supply valve under your sink. Once you've identified the required size, carefully follow the manufacturer's installation instructions for each hose.

Step 4: Initial Water Flow and Leak Check
Important: After installation is complete, remove the aerator. Turn water supplies on and allow both hot and cold water to run for at least one minute each. While water is running, check for leaks. Turn off water and replace the aerator.

Step 5: Adjusting Cartridge Timing (Slow Close Feature)
The slow close cartridge is factory preset to a timing of 12 seconds @60 PSI. Inlet water pressure and water temperature might vary this timing. If the timing needs to be changed, remove the handle by loosening the Allen screw.

Step 6: Fine-Tuning Timing
With the help of a flathead screwdriver, loosen the screw to decrease the timing and tighten the screw to increase the timing. The timing can be adjusted from 0 to 60 seconds depending on the inlet pressure and water temperature.

Step 7: Reinstalling Handle
Once the satisfactory timing has been adjusted, install the handle by tightening the Allen screw.

Troubleshooting
Problem: Faucet runs constantly (drips).
This may be due to internal mineral buildup. To correct this and return the faucet to normal function, follow these steps:
- Remove the handle.
- Loosen the stem with a flathead screwdriver (only loosen, do not remove).
- Press the stem for one minute to keep water flowing, which helps remove mineral buildup.
- Use the flathead screwdriver to return the stem to its original position and reinstall the handle.
