5. Coverage and Pick-up

The detector provides a volumetric coverage pattern with a maximum range of 15 meters (50 feet) at a 90° angle.

7. Mounting Height and Settings

The optimal mounting height for the Prestige IR detector ranges from 1.5 meters (4'11") to 3.0 meters (9'10"). The detection range varies with height.

8. Altering Coverage at 2m Mounting Height

9. Coverage Pattern

10. Mounting the Prestige IR

11. Wiring

Important: Do not run detector cables parallel to mains wiring (230V or 110V) to prevent interference.

12. Choosing a Location

To avoid false alarms, select a location that avoids common sources of interference.

13. EOL Resistor Jumper Links

The jumper links JP3 (TAMPER) and JP4 (ALARM) are used to select resistances for End-of-Line (EOL) and Dual End-of-Line (DEOL) wiring configurations.

JP3 Function: Selects the End-of-Line resistance. Equivalent to wiring a resistor of the selected value.

JP4 Function: Selects the resistance across the alarm relay. Equivalent to wiring a resistor of the selected value.

Available Resistances: 1kΩ (1K0), 2.2kΩ (2K2), 4.7kΩ (4K7), 5.6kΩ (5K6).

Default Setting: If EOL wiring is not used, leave the headers in the default 'O/C' (Open Circuit) position.

External Resistors: If required resistance values are not available, leave headers in 'O/C' and wire external resistors as normal.
