System Panel Operations
Key Panel Elements:
- Switch to main menu: [Main Menu]
- Open Help screen: [Help Screen]

- Register key: [Register Key] [note] This key can be assigned to any function in Administrator Settings.
Touch Screen Main Menu
- Message display: Displays active or standby jobs.
- Shortcut key area: Allows changing to functions of shortcut keys. Up to 24 shortcut keys can be displayed. Default functions include Copy, Scan/Fax, User Box, Sound Setting, and Utility. Utility is always displayed.
- Display total number of printed pages: [Page Count]
Operating the Touch Screen [note] Available touch functions vary depending on the displayed screen.
- Tap to select or determine a menu.
- Double-tap to retrieve detailed information or enlarge a thumbnail image.
- Drag to move a display position on an application or preview screen.
- Flick to scroll an address or job list and feed thumbnail view pages.
- Long-tap to display the icon related to the document.
- Drag & Drop to move a document to the intended place.
- Pan to move a displayed image.
- Pinch-in/Pinch-out to enlarge or reduce a preview image.
- Rotate two fingers to rotate a preview image.
Other Touch Screen Controls:
- Switch to Scan/Fax function: [Scan/Fax]

- Stop a process: [Stop]

- Display keypad: [Keypad] [note] The optional hardware keypad KP-101 can be used instead.

Copy Operations
Basic Copy Screen
- Position the original(s).
- Tap [Copy] in the main menu.
- Tap the input area to display the keypad.
- Type in the number of copies.
- Press the Start key.
Copy Settings:
- Number of copy sets: [Number Input]
- Zoom: [Zoom] Allows manual change, automatic reduction/enlargement to paper size, or preset/user-defined zoom values.
- Input/output image: Visible when originals are placed on platen glass or document feeder.
- Specify the type of the original: [Original Type]
- Adjust the copy density: [Density Adjustment]
- Register a copy program: [Copy Program]
- Proof of copy set: [Proof]
- Card copying function: [Card Copy] Copies both sides of a card onto one sheet.
- Check copy settings: [Settings Check]
- Size of the document to be copied: [Document Size]
- Specify a zoom ratio: [Zoom Ratio]
- Specify additional copy settings: [Additional Settings]
- Select paper size and type: Change size and type of paper loaded in paper trays. [note] Available functions depend on system configuration.
Document Print / Delete Operations
- Stores ‘Proof then Print’, ‘Secure Job’ and ‘Store Job’ when sending a print.
- Stores ‘ID and Print’ jobs when user authentication is installed.
- Prints files from USB in PDF, Compact PDF, JPEG, TIFF, XPS, Compact XPS, OOXML, and PPML formats.
- View or delete files saved in the HDD.
Fax Functions (with fax option):
- Receives and stores faxes.
- Receives and stores confidential faxes.
Scan Operations
Scan to E-mail & Scan to Folder Settings
- Tap [Scan to E-mail] or [Scan to Folder] in the main menu. Destinations categorized as Favorite are displayed.
- Tap a destination.
- Tap Application.
- Select the scan settings to change.
- Tap Close.
- Press the Start key.
Scan to USB Memory (Direct Input)
- Position the original(s).
- Plug the USB memory device into the USB port. [note] Do not insert the USB memory device into the USB port close to the rear panel of this machine.
- Tap [Scan to Folder].
- Tap Direct Input then External Memory.
- Tap Application to change scan settings (if required).
- Press the Start key.
Scan to E-mail (Direct Input)
- Position the original(s).
- Tap [Scan to E-mail] in the main menu.
- Tap Direct Input.
- Tap E-mail.
- Enter the destination address. [note] The Shift key changes the keypad layout.
- Tap OK.
- Press the Start key.
Search for a Destination
- Tap [Scan/Fax] in the main menu. Destinations categorized as Favorite are displayed.
- Tap Addr. Search [arrow] Search.
- Tap Name Search or Address search.
- Enter the search text and tap Search.
- Select the destination from the search result.
- Press the Start key.
Scan Settings:
- Select a destination from the E-mail Favorites or Folder Favorites.
- Select a destination from the address book.
- Display job history.
- Check scan settings.
- View destinations as keys or sortable list.
- Specify the file type used to save the scanned data: [File Type]
- Register a destination: [Register Destination]
- Register a scan program: [Register Scan Program]
- Specify scan settings: [Scan Settings]
- Select a color mode for scanning: [Color Mode]
- Specify the scan resolution: [Scan Resolution]
- Specify simplex or duplex: [Simplex/Duplex]
Fax Operations (only with fax option)
Send a Fax with Fax Favorite or Direct Input
- Position the original(s).
- Tap [Fax] in the main menu.
- Tap the fax favorite or Tap Direct Input.
- Enter fax number. [note] When entering multiple destinations, tap Next Dest.
- Tap OK.
- Press the Start key.
