Managing Hearing Aid Feedback Noise

Feedback occurs when sound intended for your ear canal escapes and re-enters the hearing aid microphone, causing amplification and a whistling sound. This can happen normally in various situations.

Tips to Resolve Feedback:

  • Reduce volume before inserting and removing the hearing aid.
  • If the hearing dome is loose, try a larger size for a snug fit.
  • Ensure your hearing aids are custom-fitted and your audiogram is uploaded.
  • Clean and maintain hearing tubes; wax buildup or broken tubes can cause feedback.

Q: What should I do if my hearing aids do not connect to the Acosound mobile application automatically?

A: This can be due to two reasons:

  • Ensure the "Get paired automatically next time" option is toggled ON in the mobile app.
  • Ensure the batteries used in the hearing aids are in proper working condition. Drained or weak batteries can cause connection issues.
