- Oil/fat may catch fire if overheated. If this happens, pull the plug and cover the bowl with a lid or metal tray to extinguish flames.
- Never pour water on hot or burning oil/fat!

How to Use Your Fondue Set
Preparing the Appliance:
- Place the appliance on a stable, heat-resistant surface impervious to splashes and stains. Splashes are unavoidable when cooking with oil/fat.
- Fill the bowl with the required amount of oil/fat, broth, or cheese according to your recipe.
- When using oil/fat or broth, ensure the level is between the MIN and MAX marks.
- Do not exceed the MAX mark when preparing cheese fondue.
- Place the bowl onto the hotplate and plug in the appliance.
Food Preparation:
Meat/Vegetable Fondue with Oil/Fat or Broth:
- Fit the splash guard on the bowl.
- Turn the thermostat control to the MAX position.
- Preheat the oil/fat or broth for approximately 20 minutes before adding meat.
- Skewer food onto the fondue forks and place them in the bowl.
- Cooking time is approx. 1½ - 3 minutes with oil/fat, and approx. 3 - 4 minutes with broth.
Cheese Fondue:
- Turn the thermostat control to MAX and add cheese to the bowl. Stir continuously while the cheese melts.
- Once melted, the thermostat can be turned to a medium position to keep the cheese warm.
- Skewer bread pieces onto the fondue forks and place them in the bowl.
- Unplug the appliance after use.
- Caution! The bowl and hotplate remain hot for some time after use.
Hints on Using Oil or Fat:
- Use only pure vegetable oil or fat suitable for high temperatures, neutral in taste, and that does not smoke or spill.
- Reuse the same oil/fat only 3-4 times. Used oil/fat smells unpleasant, foams, becomes darker, and viscous.
- Do not mix different types of fat.
- Chop meat into small pieces.
- Thaw frozen food before cooking.
- Thoroughly dry food to prevent oil/fat from foaming over.
- Store cooled oil/fat in a suitable closed container in a cool place.
Cleaning and Care:
- Unplug and allow the appliance to cool before cleaning.
- Wipe the base with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth if necessary. Do not use liquids or immerse the base.
- Do not pour used fat or oil into the sink. Dispose of cold oil/fat with domestic refuse.
- The stainless-steel bowl, splash guard, and fondue forks can be cleaned in hot soapy water or in a dishwasher. Remove cheese residue by soaking and using a soft brush.
- Dry all accessories thoroughly.
Disposal:
Appliances marked with the [Recycling Symbol] must be disposed of separately from household waste as they contain valuable, recyclable materials. Proper disposal protects the environment and human health. Contact your local authority or retailer for information.
