DocumentDocumentINSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR CP-4 AUTOMATIC GATE OPENER* 1. SERIAL NUMBER There is a barcode serial number on the bottom of "puck" and on the product box. When calling to talk about your product, please have this number handy. PRODUCT CODE YEAR SERIAL MADE NUMBER 4. CONNECT TO GATE CP-4 works with all gate operatorspowered or solar. Connect wires as follows: POWER GATES SOLAR GATES RED POWER + RED POWER + BLACK WHITE BLUE YELLOW POWER BLACK COMMON WHITE EXIT N.O. BLUE EXIT N.C. GND or COM FREE EXIT or OPEN TERMINAL VOLTAGE CURRENT 8-24 VAC 8-30 VDC Standby: 30-70 µA Alarm: 40-60 mA 2. TRENCH PIPE & CABLE Trench 1/2" PVC pipe beside driveway to where CP-4 will be buried, and pull cable inside conduit (may need wire lubricant). 12' 80' - 100' NOTE: Warranty voided if cable not run in conduit 5. TEST SENSITIVITY NOTE: IN MOST CASES SENSITIVITY WILL NOT NEED TO BE ADJUSTED. SENSITIVITY ADJUSTMENT HIGH (Default) Detects vehicle 12-14' 1 & 2 in OFF position ON 12 MEDIUM Detects vehicle 6-8' 1 ON & 2 OFF position ON 12 LOW Detects vehicle 2-3' 1 & 2 in ON position ON 12 Note: Dip switch color may vary 3. CONDUIT & SLIP JOINT 6. BURY CONDUIT & "PUCK" After pulling cable through plastic conduit, insert conduit inside slip joint on "puck." DO NOT GLUE (to un-install later, if needed). Test unit with gate by swinging steel over puck (or driving vehicle by).
