Warranty
U.S. Customers
GUESS offers a Two Year Warranty on all purchases made from July 1st, 2017. Purchases made prior to July 1st, 2017, are covered by a 10 Year Limited Warranty. In the event of a defect or malfunction within the warranty period, your watch will be repaired or replaced at GUESS's option. The limited warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, abuse, water damage, or damage from external sources. It also excludes batteries, case, strap, or bracelet, and does not cover labor, parts, or shipping costs. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty repairs. For more information, U.S. customers should contact GUESS Watches.
International Customers
For customers outside the U.S., please contact your local representative for country-specific warranty information. You can find a list of global representatives at GUESSWatches.com.
Your GUESS or Gc watch is covered by an international guarantee against manufacturing defects for 24 months from the date of purchase. Defective parts will be repaired or replaced at no charge. The international guarantee does not cover defects arising from damage, mishandling, abusive use (including exposure to moisture for non-water-resistant watches), alteration, or repairs performed by unauthorized retailers. To maintain your guarantee, always have your watch checked, serviced, and repaired by an authorized GUESS or Gc Agent.
Watch Care
Do
- Use a soft tissue to clean the case and crystal of your timepiece.
- If the case and crystal are very dirty, use a soft tissue dipped in soapy water.
Do Not
- Clean a leather strap with anything other than clean water.
- Use chemical products like petroleum spirits to clean your timepiece.
It is preferable to avoid wearing your GUESS watch to the beach or during extreme sports to prevent knocking or scratching. Repeated contact with perfumes, cosmetics, or household detergents may damage your timepiece.
Watches will withstand water resistance if the crystal, crown, push buttons, case, and gaskets remain intact. DO NOT operate the crown or buttons when the watch is wet or submerged.
A hard knock might cause the watch to lose its water-resistance. If you plan to use your watch underwater, it is essential to have the water-resistance checked at least every 12 months. If the case needs to be opened for any reason, ask your GUESS agent to check the waterproof seals for the case back, glass, and crown, and replace them if necessary.
Battery
Battery life typically ranges from 2 to 4 years, depending on the model and usage. Many GUESS quartz watches with a center seconds-hand feature an End-of-Life (EOL) battery warning system. Approximately two weeks before the battery depletes, the center seconds-hand will jump every four seconds, indicating a low battery. Replace the battery immediately to prevent potential damage to the movement.
It is strongly recommended to have the battery replaced by a retailer or jeweler. If applicable, push the reset button when replacing the battery. The battery type is indicated on the caseback. Battery life estimates are based on usage assumptions and may vary.
