Indicators

Dryness level indicators: Iron dry, Hanger dry, Cupboard dry, Extra dry.

Cycle phase indicators: Drying, Cool down, End of cycle.

Alert indicators:

  • Empty water tank ?
  • Clean door filter ?
  • Clean bottom filter ?
  • Failure: Call after sales service ? (Refer to troubleshooting section)

First Time Use

Ensure the water tank is correctly inserted. Make sure the drain hose on the back of the dryer is fixed correctly, either to the dryer's water tank or to your domestic drainage system. The dryer must be installed in a room with a temperature ranging between 5°C and 35°C for proper operation. Before using your dryer, ensure it has been in an upright position for at least 6 hours.

Opening the door during the cycle

The tumble dryer door can be opened at any time during the cycle to check progress and remove already dry garments. However, opening the door can extend the drying time. It is recommended to keep the door closed throughout the cycle to save time and energy. After closing the door, press the "Start/Pause" button within 15 minutes to resume machine operation.

Daily Use

To keep your machine working at its best:

  • Empty your water tank after each drying cycle.
  • Clean your filters after each drying cycle. Refer to the Care & Maintenance section.
  1. Plug the dryer into the power supply socket.
  2. Open the door and load garments; always refer to clothing labels and max loads indicated in the programme section. Empty pockets. Ensure garments do not get caught between the door and/or the door filter. Do not load items that are dripping wet. Do not tumble dry large, very bulky items. For optimal drying, load garments one by one.
  3. Close the door.
  4. Press the "On/Off" button ⏻.
  5. Select the most suitable programme for the fabric type.
  6. Select options, if necessary.
  7. Press the "Start/Pause" button ▶️ / ⏸️ to begin drying.
  8. At the end of the cycle, a buzzer will sound, and an indicator will signal the end. Turn the machine off by pressing the "On/Off" button ⏻, open the door, and remove clothing immediately to prevent creases. If not switched off manually, the appliance turns off automatically after about 15 minutes to save energy. Note that some models perform a final cool tumble phase, so fabrics may not feel hot.

In case of power failure, press the "Start/Pause" button ▶️ / ⏸️ to restart the cycle.

Care Label Symbols

Always check care labels, especially when placing garments in the tumble dryer for the first time. The most commonly used symbols are:

  • ? May be tumble dried.
  • ?? Do not tumble dry.
  • ? Tumble dry – high heat.
  • ?️ Tumble dry – low heat.

Programs

The duration of these programs depends on load size, textile types, washer spin speed, and selected options. On models with a display, duration is shown on the control panel and remaining time is adjusted during the cycle.

Option to use: If loads are consistently less dry or more dry than desired on Automatic Cycles, you can adjust the dryness level using the specific option.

Eco

  • Timed drying: Manually set the drying time.

  • Rapid: Enables quicker drying.

  • Key lock: Makes all machine controls inaccessible, except the "On/Off" button.
  • Cycle end: Activates a prolonged buzzer at the end of the cycle.
  • Mute: Turns off all control panel sounds. Only warnings remain active.

Cleaning and Maintenance

WARNING: Unplug the dryer during cleaning and maintenance procedures.

Emptying the water tank (see Figure A illustration): Pull the container out, empty it into a sink or drain, then place it back properly. Do not use the dryer without the container inserted.

Cleaning the filters: Remove filters and clean lint with your hand, a cloth, or a vacuum cleaner. Throw lint in the garbage bin, not down the drain, to avoid spreading microplastics. Do not use the dryer without filters reinserted.

Cleaning the door filter (see Figure B illustration): Open the door and pull the filter upwards. Open the filter and remove lint from all parts. Replace correctly, ensuring it is fully seated.

Cleaning the bottom filter (see Figure C illustration): Clean when the relevant indicator turns on; recommended after each cycle for optimal performance. Open the bottom cover, pull the filter out. Open the rear side of the filter and remove lint from the mesh. Check the chamber monthly. If lint accumulates on metal fins, clean with a vacuum cleaner nozzle with a brush, using vertical movements to avoid damage. Avoid direct hand contact with fins (risk of cuts). Close the rear side, place filter back, lower handle. Close bottom cover. Ensure air intake is free.

Filters are essential for collecting lint. Clogged filters affect airflow, increasing drying times, energy consumption, and potentially damaging the dryer. If filters are not cleaned properly, the dryer may not start.

Note: After cleaning filters, the indicator may remain on; it will disappear when a new drying cycle starts.

Cleaning the tumble dryer exterior: Use a damp cloth for metal, plastic, and rubber parts. Clean the front air intake grille regularly (every 6 months) with a vacuum cleaner to remove lint and dust. Use a vacuum cleaner for filter areas periodically. Do not use solvents or abrasives.

Transport and Handling

Never lift the dryer by holding it at the worktop.

  1. Unplug the dryer.
  2. Remove all water from the water tank.
  3. Ensure the door and water tank are properly closed.
  4. If the drain hose is connected to your drainage system, re-connect it to the back of the dryer (refer to Installation section in Safety Instruction guide).
