Device Overview

1. Insert the SIM and memory card

1. Open the SIM card tray: push the tray opener pin in the tray hole and slide the tray out.
2. Place the nano-SIM in the SIM slot on the tray with the contact area facing down.
3. If you have a dual-SIM phone, place the second SIM in the SIM2 slot.
4. Tip: To confirm if your phone supports 2 SIM cards, check the sales box label. If there are 2 IMEI codes on the label, it is a dual-SIM phone.
5. If you have a memory card, place it in the memory card slot.
6. Slide the tray back into the phone.

Use only original nano-SIM cards. Incompatible SIM cards may damage the card or the device, and may corrupt data stored on the card.

Use only compatible memory cards approved for this device. Incompatible cards may damage the card and the device and corrupt data stored on the card.

Important: Do not remove the memory card while an app is using it. Doing so may damage the memory card and the device and corrupt data stored on the card.

Both SIM cards can be available simultaneously when the device is not in use. However, while one SIM card is active (e.g., during a call), the other may be unavailable.

2. Charge the battery and switch the phone on

Plug a compatible charger into a wall outlet and connect the cable to your phone. Your phone supports the USB-C cable. Charging from a computer via USB cable is also possible but may take longer.

If the battery is completely discharged, the charging indicator may take several minutes to appear.

To switch your phone on, press and hold the power key until the phone vibrates. The phone will guide you through the setup process.

Network Compatibility

The device operates on GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900; WCDMA 1, 2, 4, 5, 8; and LTE 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 28, 66 networks. A subscription with a service provider is required.

Important: 4G/LTE service may not be supported by your network provider or when traveling. To ensure seamless operation when full 4G/LTE service is unavailable, it is recommended to change the highest connection speed from 4G to 3G. Navigate to Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network > Advanced, and select 3G as the Preferred network type.

Battery and Device Care

Your device contains an internal, non-removable, rechargeable battery. Do not attempt to remove the battery or back cover, as this may damage the device. For battery replacement, contact the nearest authorized service facility.

Charger Information

Charge your device using compatible chargers such as CH-21E (EU plug), CH-21X (UK plug), CH-21U (US plug), CH-21A (Australia plug), CH-21N (India plug), or CH-21B (Brazil plug). HMD Global may offer additional battery or charger models. Charging time can vary based on device capability. Some accessories mentioned may be sold separately.

Charger Safety Instructions

Use the charger only with compatible devices. Avoid use in extreme temperatures. Ensure adequate ventilation; do not cover the charger. Keep away from open flames. The charger and wall outlet should be easily accessible. Discontinue use if the cable or plugs are damaged. Clean the charger with a dry cloth or brush.

Symbols Meaning

Device Properties & Precautions

The device surface is nickel-free.

Parts of the device are magnetic. Metallic materials may be attracted to the device. To prevent damage, do not place credit cards or other magnetic stripe cards near the device for extended periods.

Note: Pre-installed system software and applications utilize a significant portion of the memory space.

Maintain a safe distance when using the flash. Avoid pointing the flash directly at people or animals at close range. Do not cover the flash while taking photos.

SAR Certification Information

This mobile device complies with Federal Communications Commission (FCC) guidelines for radio wave exposure.

FCC RF Exposure Information

Your handset is a radio transmitter and receiver designed to operate within FCC emission limits for radio frequency (RF) energy. The guidelines are based on standards developed by independent scientific organizations, incorporating substantial safety margins for all users. The Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) limit set by the FCC is 1.6 W/kg. Tests are conducted in positions and locations (e.g., at the ear and worn on the body) as required by the FCC for each model.

The highest SAR value reported for this handset model when tested for use at the ear is 0.99 W/kg. When tested for body-worn operation in a holder or carry case, the SAR value is 0.95 W/kg.

Body-worn Operation: This device was tested for typical body-worn operations with the handset kept 1.0 cm from the body. To send data or messages, a stable network connection is necessary. Sending may be delayed until a connection becomes available. Adhere to separation distance instructions until the sending process is complete.

During general use, SAR values are typically well below the stated limits. This is because the phone's operating power is automatically reduced when full power is not required for a call, optimizing system efficiency and minimizing network interference. Lower power output results in lower SAR values.

Device models may vary in versions and have multiple SAR values. Component and design changes over time could affect SAR values.

HAC Notice (Hearing Aid Compatibility)

Your phone is compliant with the FCC Hearing Aid Compatibility requirements. The FCC has adopted HAC rules for digital wireless phones, requiring certain phones to be tested and rated under the American National Standard Institute (ANSI) C63.19-2011 hearing aid compatibility standards. The ANSI standard includes two types of ratings:

• M-Ratings: Rating for less radio frequency interference to enable acoustic coupling with hearing aids.
• T-Ratings: Rating for inductive coupling with hearing aids in telecoil mode.

Not all phones are rated. A phone is considered hearing aid compatible under FCC rules if it is rated M3 or M4 for acoustic coupling and T3 or T4 for inductive coupling. These ratings are on a scale from one to four, where four is the most compatible. Your phone meets the M3/T3 level rating.

However, hearing aid compatibility ratings do not guarantee that interference to your hearing aids will not occur. Results will vary depending on the immunity of your hearing device and the degree of your hearing loss. If your hearing device is vulnerable to interference, you may not be able to use a rated phone successfully. Trying out the phone with your hearing device is the best way to evaluate it for your personal needs.

This phone has been tested and rated for use with hearing aids for some of the wireless technologies it uses. However, there may be newer wireless technologies used in this phone that have not yet been tested for hearing aid compatibility. It is important to try all the different features of this phone thoroughly and in different locations, using your hearing aid or cochlear implant, to determine if you hear any interfering noise. Consult your service provider or the manufacturer of this phone for information on hearing aid compatibility.
