Samsung TV Quick Setup Guide
Welcome to your new Samsung TV. This guide will help you set up your TV quickly and easily.
Getting Started
Important Safety Information:
- Two or more people should carry the TV.
- Never lay the TV on the floor to avoid damage to the screen.
- Always store the TV upright.
- When mounting your TV on a wall, install the cover (1) on the stand-base using two screws.
Installing Batteries in the Remote Control
Insert AAA batteries (not included) into the remote control. Ensure correct polarity.
Installing the Stand
Follow the diagrams to assemble and attach the stand to your TV. Ensure all screws are tightened securely.
Plug & Play Setup
When the TV is powered on for the first time, basic settings will proceed automatically. You can select the OSD (On-Screen Display) language during this process. If you wish to reset this feature, press the MENU button to display the menu and navigate to Setup > Plug & Play.

Using the Remote Control
Familiarize yourself with the remote control buttons:

▲////ENTER | Move the cursor, select an item, and confirm settings. |
Setting the Screen Size
To change the image size on your screen, press the MENU button, navigate to Picture > Picture Options > Size. Select your desired screen format (e.g., 16:9, Zoom1, Zoom2, Wide Fit, 4:3, Just Scan). Alternatively, you can repeatedly press the P.SIZE button on the remote control.
Connecting Devices
Connecting an Antenna
Connect your antenna (ANT) or cable (Wall/Cable Box) to the TV's RF input. If using an A/B switch for cable, ensure the switch is set correctly and tune the TV to the appropriate channel (usually 3 or 4) if set to 'B' for scrambled channels.
Connecting an AV Device
HD Connection (up to 1080p):
- Using an HDMI/DVI Cable: Connect the HDMI/DVI OUT from your device (DVD player, Blu-Ray player, Cable Box, Satellite Receiver) to the HDMI IN or DVI AUDIO IN on your TV. For DVI connections, use the DVI AUDIO IN port and connect a separate audio cable from the device's AUDIO OUT to the TV's DVI AUDIO IN.
- Using a Component Cable: Connect the COMPONENT OUT (Y, Pb, Pr) from your device to the COMPONENT IN (Y, Pb, Pr) on your TV. Connect the AUDIO OUT from your device to the AUDIO IN on your TV.
Audio/Video Connection (480i only):
- Using an Audio/Video Cable: Connect the VIDEO OUT from your device (VCR) to the VIDEO IN on your TV. Connect the AUDIO OUT from your device to the AUDIO IN on your TV.
Connecting a PC
HD Connection:
- Using an HDMI Cable: Connect the HDMI OUT from your PC to the HDMI IN on your TV.
- Using an DVI Cable: Connect the DVI OUT from your PC to the HDMI IN or DVI AUDIO IN on your TV. Use the DVI AUDIO IN port and connect a separate audio cable from the PC's AUDIO OUT to the TV's DVI AUDIO IN.
Standard Connection:
- Using a D-Sub Cable: Connect the VGA OUT from your PC to the PC IN (D-Sub) on your TV. Connect the PC AUDIO OUT from your PC to the AUDIO IN on your TV.
Connecting an Audio Device
Analog Audio Connection:
- Connect the AUDIO OUT from your amplifier or DVD Home Theater system to the AUDIO IN (Analog) on your TV using an audio cable.
Digital Audio Connection:
- Connect the OPTICAL OUT from your Digital Audio System to the OPTICAL (Digital Audio) IN on your TV using an optical cable.
Selecting the Source
To select the input source you want to view (TV, AV1, AV2, Component1, Component2, PC, HDMI1, HDMI2/DVI, HDMI3, HDMI4, USB), press the SOURCE button on the remote control. A list of available sources will appear on the screen.
