Wall Cutout Dimensions
The wall cutout dimensions are 14.13 inches by 10.50 inches. This diagram shows the front view of the exit sign and indicates these measurements.
Installation Steps
Remove luminaire frame fasteners (as shown in Figure 1), then remove the luminaire frame (as shown in Figure 2).
Figure 1: Shows the luminaire with four frame fasteners.
Figure 2: Shows the luminaire housing and the removed luminaire frame.
Remove the raceway cover (as shown in Figure 3) and both LED gear trays (as shown in Figure 4).
Figure 3: Depicts the raceway cover and indicates two raceway cover fastener nuts. It also notes to remove the EM conduit knockout for fixtures with an emergency battery pack.
Figure 4: Shows the luminaire housing with two LED gear trays, each secured by two fastener nuts (total of four LED gear tray fastener nuts).
Insert the luminaire housing into the wall cutout. Refer to the cover page for specific wall cutout dimensions. If installing a fixture with a remote battery pack option, remove the EM circuit knockout before inserting the housing into the wall.
Figure 5: Illustrates inserting the luminaire housing into a wall cutout. It shows blocking (by others), the wall (by others), an EM circuit knockout, an AC power access hole, and a recommendation to add silicone sealant between the housing flange and wall surface for a watertight seal.
Fasten the housing into the wall using mounting hardware (provided by others), as shown in Figure 6.
Figure 6: Shows the luminaire housing secured in the wall with mounting hardware.
Bring the AC power lead (and EM circuit lead, if applicable) into the fixture. Make electrical connections according to the wiring diagram. Then, reinstall the LED gear trays (as shown in Figure 7 and Figure 8) and the raceway cover (as shown in Figure 9) into the housing. For fixtures with the remote emergency driver option, consult the instruction sheet included with the battery pack.

Figure 9: Shows the luminaire housing with the raceway cover being reinstalled, secured by two raceway cover fastener nuts.
⚠️ Important Note: For fixtures without the remote emergency driver option, the AC power connection must come from an automatic transfer device. This ensures the fixture continues to receive power during a normal supply failure. Failure to connect to emergency power will disqualify this fixture from satisfying emergency exit signage requirements per NFPA 70, NFPA 101, NFPA 1, IBC, and IFC.
Reinstall the luminaire frame and fasteners, as shown in Figure 10 and Figure 11.
