Important Safety Information

In this document, "product" refers to the device or its accessories.

  • The product may generate heat during charging. Always charge in a well-ventilated area. Do not charge under pillows, blankets, or on flammable surfaces.
  • Do not expose the product to heat sources, direct sunlight, flammable gases, humidity, water, or other liquids.
  • Do not disassemble, open, microwave, incinerate, paint, or insert foreign objects into the product.
  • Avoid mechanical shock such as crushing, bending, puncturing, or shredding. Do not drop or place heavy objects on the product.
  • Do not short-circuit the product or store it in a container with metal objects or other conductive materials that could cause a short circuit.
  • Do not use the product if it is wet or damaged to avoid electric shock, fire, and/or injury. Contact an authorized dealer or service center for support.
  • Children should be supervised when using the product.
  • Read the user manual (including charging instructions and minimum/maximum operating temperatures) that comes with the product.
  • Do not disassemble, open, or cut secondary batteries or battery cells.
  • Do not expose batteries or battery cells to heat or fire. Avoid storage in direct sunlight.
  • Avoid mechanical shock to batteries or battery cells.
  • In case of battery leakage, prevent liquid from contacting skin or eyes. If contact occurs, wash the affected area with plenty of water and seek medical attention.
  • Do not use chargers other than those specifically provided with the product.
  • Do not use batteries or battery cells not specifically designed for the equipment.
  • Seek medical attention immediately if a battery or battery cell is swallowed.
  • Purchase batteries according to the product manufacturer's recommendations.
  • If battery terminals are dirty, wipe them with a clean, dry cloth.
  • Charge secondary batteries or battery cells before use. Always use the charger provided and refer to the manufacturer's instructions or product manual for proper charging methods.
  • Do not charge batteries continuously for extended periods when not in use.
  • After prolonged storage, batteries or battery cells may require several charge/discharge cycles to achieve maximum performance.
  • Use batteries or battery cells for their intended purpose.
  • Dispose of properly.

Regulatory Information

Companies, businesses, or users are not permitted to change the frequency, increase the transmitting power, or alter the original characteristics and performance of approved low-power radio frequency devices without prior authorization from the NCC.

Low-power radio frequency devices shall not affect flight safety or interfere with legal communications. If interference is detected, users must immediately cease operation until the interference is resolved.

Legal communications refer to radio communications operated in accordance with the Telecommunications Management Act. Low-power radio frequency devices must tolerate interference from legal communications or from ISM (Industrial, Scientific, and Medical) radio wave radiation devices.

Do not place the device in a confined space, such as a bookshelf or built-in cabinet.

Do not expose batteries (battery pack or installed batteries) to excessive heat such as direct sunlight, fire, or similar sources for extended periods.

Do not expose batteries to extremely low air pressure, as this may result in overheating or leakage.

Do not disassemble, open, or cut secondary batteries.

In case of secondary battery leakage, prevent liquid from contacting skin or eyes. If contact occurs, wash the affected area with plenty of water and seek medical attention.

Charge secondary batteries before use. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions or product manual for proper charging methods.

After prolonged storage, secondary batteries may require several charge/discharge cycles to achieve maximum performance.

Dispose of properly.

Charging the Device

Place the headphones in the charging case.

Use a commercially available USB Type-C® cable and a USB AC adapter.

Connect the USB Type-C cable to the charging case, then connect the USB AC adapter to an AC outlet.

This device has been tested and complies with electromagnetic compatibility limits for use with cables shorter than 3m.

Do not use, store, or place the device in areas with high humidity, dust, smoke, water vapor, or high temperatures such as near fire, direct sunlight, or inside a car.

Using the device at high volume may adversely affect your hearing.

Do not use the device while walking, cycling, or driving, as this may cause traffic accidents.

Do not use in dangerous areas unless you can hear surrounding sounds.

If water or foreign objects enter the device, it may cause fire or electric shock. If this occurs, stop using it immediately and consult your nearest Sony dealer. Be especially careful in the following cases:

  • When using the device near a sink or liquid container. Avoid dropping the device into a sink or water container.
  • When using the device in rain or snow, or in humid conditions.

For detailed information on the effects of mobile phones or other wireless devices connected to this device on the human body, refer to the wireless device's user manual.

The ear tips may fall off the headphones if not securely attached and remain inside the ear during use. Ensure the ear tips are securely attached before use.

Do not plug in the USB plug when the device or charging cable is wet. If the USB plug is inserted when the device or charging cable is wet, a short circuit may occur due to liquid (tap water, sea water, soft drinks, etc.) or foreign objects adhering to the device or charging cable, causing abnormal heat generation or malfunction.

This product contains magnets that may interfere with pacemakers, programmable shunt valves for hydrocephalus treatment, or other medical devices. Do not place this product near individuals using any such medical devices. Consult your doctor before using this product if you are using any of the aforementioned medical devices.

This product contains magnets. Swallowing magnets can cause serious harm such as choking or intestinal damage. Seek medical attention immediately if magnets are swallowed. Keep this product out of reach of children or other supervised individuals to prevent accidental swallowing.

There is a risk of swallowing this device or its small parts. After use, place the device in its charging case and store it out of reach of children.

Notes on Static Electricity

If you use the device in a dry air environment, you may experience discomfort due to static electricity accumulating on your body. This is not a malfunction of the device. You can reduce the effect by wearing clothes made of natural materials that are less likely to generate static electricity.

Water Resistance Performance

  • The charging case is not water resistant.
  • Unless the device is used correctly, water may enter the device and cause fire, electric shock, or malfunction. Note the precautions below for correct use of the device.

Maintaining Water Resistance Performance

Note the precautions below to ensure correct use of the device.

  • Do not spray water forcefully onto the sound holes.
  • Do not drop the device into water or use it underwater.
  • Do not leave the device wet in cold environments, as water may freeze. To prevent malfunction, wipe off any water after use.
  • Do not place the device in water or use it in humid places such as bathrooms.
  • Do not drop the device or subject it to mechanical shock. Doing so may deform or damage the device, leading to reduced water resistance performance.

BLUETOOTH® Signal Transmission

  • Microwaves emitted from a Bluetooth device may affect the operation of electronic medical devices. Accidents may occur, so turn off this device and other Bluetooth devices in the following locations:
    • In hospitals, near priority seating on trains, near flammable gas, near automatic doors, or near fire alarms.

Notes on Wearing the Device

  • Because the ear tips fit snugly in the ears, pressing the ear tips firmly into the ears or removing them too quickly may damage the eardrums.
  • When wearing the ear tips, the speaker diaphragm may produce a "click" sound. This is not a malfunction.
