9000N App User Guide
This guide provides instructions for using the audiolab 9000N application.
Main Panels
The application features three main panels, accessible by swiping left or right:
- Browse Panel: Used to explore and select music from your library and streaming services.
- Playlist Panel: Displays tracks selected from the Browse panel and queued for playback.
- Now Playing Panel: Shows the current track information.
These panels share a constant 'Now Playing' header.

Browse Window
The Browse window allows users to navigate their music sources.

- 8. Settings menu: Access to application settings (⚙️).
- 9. Browser / Folder view layout options: Options to change how content is displayed.
- 10. Streaming service features (playlists etc): Access to features specific to streaming services, such as playlists.
Adding Tracks to a Playlist
To add a track to a playlist:
Tap the desired track; it will automatically be added to the bottom of the playlist. For more advanced functions, use the options menu to choose between 'Single Tap' or 'Double Tap' behavior.
With 'Double Tap', multiple tracks can be selected simultaneously, revealing additional menu options.

Additional options appear after selecting tracks:
- Play now: Adds the selection to the bottom of the playlist and plays it immediately.
- Play next: Adds the selection after the 'Now Playing' song; playback will commence after the current track.
- Play later: Adds the selection to the bottom of the playlist, and it will play in order.
- Play and replace: Replaces the entire current playlist with the selection and starts playing immediately.

Info Pop-up and Search Function
Info Pop-up:
Press and hold any item in the Browse, Playlist, or Now Playing areas to open an info pop-up.
The pop-up offers options such as:
- ℹ️ View the Last.fm entry for the artist/title.
- ? View the Allmusic.com entry for the artist/title.
- ? Browse the TIDAL library for matching items.
- ? Browse the Qobuz library for matching items.
For Qobuz and Tidal services, a globe icon ? in the pop-up will switch to your device's main browser.
Search Function:
Enter your search query in the search box (?).
Search Mode Note: Select your search behavior in the settings menu under 'search mode'.
- Filter: Shows only results that precisely match the search query.
- Find: Shows all items but highlights matching items. You can navigate through results using forward and back icons.

UPnP Browsing
The folder tab appears when a UPnP source is available.
Tapping the 'folder' tab ? enters Standard UPnP Browsing mode, allowing you to browse folders in the traditional UPnP way.

Folder View
By tapping the item named '[By Folder]', you can drill down through physical folders on the server to organize your own structure. This allows for organization by criteria such as DSD/High Res/Redbook/Lossy, which might not be possible with standard tag-based browsing.

Playlist View
The Playlist view displays your curated list of tracks.

- 2. Transport controls: Playback buttons (⏮️, ▶️/⏸️, ⏭️).

- 4. Time / Progress: Displays track duration and playback progress.
- 5. Volume / Mute: Controls for audio volume (?) and muting (?).
- 6. Now playing indicator: The current track is highlighted in orange with a ▶️ symbol.
- 7. Playlist: Lists all tracks. Tracks from the same album are automatically grouped (this can be deactivated in settings).
- 8. Edit button: Tap to open playlist editing functions, including removing tracks or arranging their order (✏️).
- 9. Save / load playlists: Options to save or load existing playlists.
- 10. Delete / remove from playlist: Removes selected tracks from the playlist.
- 11. 'Jump' button: Indicates the current track number and total tracks in the playlist. Tapping it navigates to the current track. If 'follow track' is enabled in settings, the playlist will automatically scroll to the current track.
Now Playing View
The Now Playing view provides detailed information and controls for the currently playing track.

- 2. Repeat / Shuffle: Toggles for repeat (?) and shuffle (?) modes.
- 3. Time / Progress: Tap to reveal the progress bar, fast forward, rewind, and restart options.
- 4. Volume / Mute: Tap to show the mute option and reveal the slider for increasing or decreasing volume (?/?).
- 5. Current track: Displays the Song Title, Artist Name, and Album Title.
- 6. Album Artwork: Tap to enter or exit full-screen mode for the artwork.
- 7. Current track format: Displays information such as Codec Name, Audio Sample Rate, Bit Depth, and Bit Rate. Tap the Artwork to enter Fullscreen Mode; tap again to exit.
