3. Operations

The device offers two power options:

  1. Using the Li-ion battery ?:

    Activate the DVR by pressing and holding the Power ON/OFF button ⚡ for 3 seconds. To turn it off, press the button again. For charging, connect the device using the USB cable ? or the car charger ??. The Power button indicator ? will show red during charging and turn off when the battery is full.

  2. Connecting with the Car Charger ??:

    The DVR will automatically start recording when the car engine starts and will turn off, saving the last recorded file, when the car engine stops. Note: This mode requires a 5V output voltage.

4. Operation Steps

Follow these steps to set up and start using your dash cam:

  1. Step 1: Insert an SD memory card ? into the SD/MMC card slot.

  2. Step 2: Install the mounting bracket into the designated mount hole on the dash cam. Attach the suction cup to a suitable location on your vehicle's windshield and adjust the camera's angle and direction as needed.

  3. Step 3: Connect the included car charger ?? to your vehicle's cigarette lighter or accessory power outlet.

  4. Step 4: Power on the dash cam by pressing and holding the "ON/OFF" button ⚡ for approximately 3 seconds.

5. Function Information

A. Video Mode:

The DVR automatically enters Video Mode upon activation. Recordings are saved to the inserted SD/MMC Card ?. To stop recording, press the REC button ?. If the device is powered by its internal battery, press the record button to initiate recording.

B. Camera Mode:

Turn on the DVR and press the Mode Button ? to enter Camera Mode. To capture a photo, press the REC button ? (located next to the power button).

C. Playback Mode:

Turn on the DVR and press the Mode Button ? twice to enter Playback Mode. Use the Up ▲ or Down ▼ buttons to navigate and select a file. If the selected file is a video, it can be played or stopped by pressing the REC button ?.

D. Delete:

While in Playback Mode, press the Menu button ☰ to access the delete interface. Use the Up ▲ or Down ▼ buttons to select the file you wish to delete. Press the REC button ? to play or stop the file. To delete: press the Menu button ☰ again to enter delete mode. Select 'single' or 'all' files using the REC button ?. Press UP ▲/Down ▼ to Confirm ✔️ and then press the REC button ? to delete ?️. You can also select Thumbnail mode to preview multiple files. Volume settings (1-8) and file protection options are available under Playback Mode.

6. Setting Mode ⚙️

Turn on the DVR and press the Menu Button ☰ twice to enter the main setting interface. Confirm your selections using the REC Button ? and navigate through options with the Up ▲/Down ▼ buttons. Press the Menu Button ☰ again to exit the settings menu.

A. General Settings:

  • 1. Format: Cancel / Execute ✔️/❌
  • 2. Languages: English, French (Française), German (Deutsch), Italian (Italiana), Spanish (Español), Portuguese (Português), Traditional Chinese (繁體中文), Simplified Chinese (简体中文), Japanese (日本語), Russian (Русский).
  • 3. Auto Off: 1 Min / 3 Min / 5 Min / Off
  • 4. System Reset: Cancel / Execute ✔️/❌
  • 5. Light Frequency: 60HZ / 50HZ
  • 6. TV Output: NTSC / PAL
  • 7. Date Input: Off / Set

B. Video Mode Settings:

While in Video Mode, press the Menu button ☰ to enter the video settings interface. Confirm selections with the REC button ? and use Up/Down ▲▼ for navigation. Press Menu button ☰ again to exit.

  • 1. Size: VGA / QVGA / SXGA
  • 2. EV (Exposure Value): +2.0, +5/3, +4/3, +1.0, +2/3, +1/3, +0.0, -1/3, -2/3, -1.0, -4/3, -5/3, -2.0
  • 3. White Balance: Auto / Daylight / Cloudy / Tungsten / Fluorescent
  • 4. Time Stamp: Off / Date Only / Date&Time
  • 5. Motion Detect: Off / On
  • 6. Audio Mode: On / Off
  • 7. Video time: 3 Min / 5 Min / 10 Min / 15 Min
  • 8. Flip screen: Off / On
  • 9. IR LED: On / Off

C. Capture (Camera) Mode Settings:

Enter Capture mode by pressing the Mode button ?, then press the Menu button ☰ to access the camera settings interface. Confirm selections with the REC button ? and use UP/DOWN ▲▼ for navigation. Press Menu button ☰ again to exit.

  • 1. Size: 12M / 8M / 5M / 3M / 2M / 1.3M / VGA
  • 2. Quality: Fine / Standard / Economy
  • 3. Scene Mode: Auto / Sport / Night / Portrait / Landscape / Backlight
  • 4. EV (Exposure Value): +2.0, +5/3, +4/3, +1.0, +2/3, +1/3, +0.0, -1/3, -2/3, -1.0, -4/3, -5/3, -2.0
  • 5. White Balance: Auto / Daylight / Cloudy / Tungsten / Fluorescent
  • 6. ISO: Auto / 100 / 200
  • 7. Color: Standard / Vivid / Sepia / Monochrome
  • 8. Saturation: High / Normal / Low
  • 9. Sharpness: Hard / Normal / Soft
  • 10. Preview: On / Off
  • 11. Time Stamp: Off / Date only / Date& Time
  • 12. Burst: On / Off

7. Download Files

  1. Connect the DVR to your computer via USB cable ? while the DVR is booted up.
  2. A removable disk will appear on "My computer".
  3. The files are stored in the path: Removable Disk/DCIM/100DSCIM. You can now download the files to your computer.

Notes:

  • 1. Please insert the SD/MMC card ? before recording.
  • 2. This DVR records in a cycle. If you choose 3/5/10/15 minutes as storage time, when the memory is full, it will record from the beginning again, automatically erasing the oldest files. There will be a 3-second pause between recordings, meaning events within those 3 seconds will not be recorded.
  • 3. When the battery is low, "low battery" will appear on the LCD, and the power will turn off automatically after 20 seconds.
