1 Important Safety Instructions

  • Keep the unit away from direct sunlight, open flames, or heat.
  • The product must not be exposed to dripping or splashing.
  • Place the product on a flat, hard, and stable surface.
  • Do not place any hazardous items on the product (e.g., objects filled with liquid, burning candles).
  • Never place this product on top of other electrical equipment.
  • Use only manufacturer-specified attachments/accessories.
  • Never remove the unit's casing. For servicing, contact qualified service personnel. The product requires servicing if it has been damaged in any way, such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled into the product or objects have fallen into the product, the product has been exposed to rain or moisture, the product does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
  • For the battery (installed, battery pack, or batteries), avoid exposure to excessive heat (direct sunlight, open flame, etc.).
  • Incorrect battery insertion may cause explosion. Replace the battery only with the same or equivalent type.
  • Extreme high or low temperatures during battery use, storage, or transport, and low air pressure at high altitudes may endanger safety.
  • Inserting the wrong type of battery may cause an explosion.
  • Do not replace a battery with the wrong type of battery, which may damage the protective mechanism (e.g., some types of lithium batteries).
  • Insert all batteries correctly.
  • Leaving a battery in an extremely high temperature or very low air pressure environment may cause explosion or leakage of flammable liquid or gas.
  • Batteries may contain chemicals. Dispose of them properly.
  • If you suspect a battery has been swallowed or inserted into any part of the body, seek immediate medical attention.
  • When replacing batteries, keep all new and used batteries out of reach of children. After replacing the battery, ensure the battery compartment is completely closed.
  • If the battery compartment cannot be completely closed, stop using the product. Keep it out of reach of children and contact the manufacturer.
  • The product must not be exposed to dripping or splashing.
  • Do not place any hazardous items on the product (e.g., objects filled with liquid, burning candles).
  • Use the product safely in an environment where the temperature range is 0-45°C.
  • To prevent fire hazard, the unit is equipped with an external power supply whose output complies with the design specification PS1 (with a power output of less than 15W).
  • The charger's power must be between a minimum of 5 watts, which is the required power for the radio, and a maximum of 15 watts to achieve maximum charging speed.

  • Set up two alarms to ring at different times.

Overview of the Portable Radio

The portable radio features the following controls:

  • 1. Favorites (1 or 2): Save/listen to preset 1 or 2.
  • 2. Snooze/Alarm Settings: Snooze the alarm or access alarm settings.
  • 3. Menu/Back/Exit: Access menu settings, display information, return to the previous menu, or exit the menu.
  • 4. Volume/Selection/Scan/Play-Pause: Adjust volume or select menu items. Open selected menu. Save selected preset stations. Scan and save radio stations automatically. Play/pause music.
  • 5. Mode (DAB/FM/Bluetooth): Switch between DAB, FM, and Bluetooth modes. Pair with Bluetooth devices.
  • 6. Power/Standby/Alarm Off: Turn the unit on/off or put it into standby mode. Turn off the alarm.
  • 7. Preset Activation/Selection: Activate preset programming. Select a preset radio station.
  • 8. Clock/Radio/Menu/Previous Track: Set the clock, play a radio station, browse menus, or go to the previous track.
  • 9. Clock/Radio/Menu/Next Track: Set the clock, play a radio station, browse menus, or go to the next track.
  • 10. Battery Compartment: Access for batteries.
  • 11. Headphone Jack: Connect headphones.
  • 12. USB-C Charging Port: Connect the USB-C charging cable.
  • 13. DAB/FM Antenna: Extend for optimal reception.

3 Getting Started

Always follow the instructions in this chapter step-by-step.

Built-in Battery Charging

The portable radio is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery.

[Note] The icon indicates that the battery is low. Recharge the built-in battery as soon as possible.

Connect the portable radio's USB-C port to a power outlet using the supplied USB-C cable (5V 2A).

[Note] The icon indicates the radio is charging. The icon indicates the radio is fully charged.

[Note] Remember that the device has built-in lithium batteries. Lithium battery capacity decreases over time due to self-discharge. To ensure battery longevity, we recommend charging the built-in lithium battery to about 50% every six months when the device is not in use.

Powering On/Off or Standby

  • To turn on the unit, press [Power]. The radio will switch to the last selected source.
  • To put the unit into standby mode, press [Power]. The clock will be displayed (if set).

[Note] If no Bluetooth device is connected for more than 15 minutes, or if it is connected but not playing anything, the radio will automatically switch to standby mode.

In any mode, press and hold the [Power] button for three seconds to turn off the unit immediately. The screen will turn off.

Adjusting Sound

To change the volume while listening, turn the dial.

Adjusting Screen Brightness

You can select different brightness levels or turn off the screen.

  1. Press [Menu] to open the menu.
  2. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Display], then press [Select] to confirm.
  3. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Backlight level], then press [Select] to confirm.
  4. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select the screen brightness level (Very bright, Medium, Dim), then press [Select] to confirm.
  5. Press [Back] to exit the menu.

Navigating Menus in Standby Mode

While in standby mode, you can browse the menus using the controls.

  1. Press [Menu] to open the menu in standby mode.
  2. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select a menu option, then press [Select] to confirm or open a submenu.
    • [Display]: Adjusts backlight, dimming, and timeout settings.
    • [Alarm]: Turns Alarm 1 or 2 on/off and configures it.
    • [Clock]: Updates the time, sets the date/time, and configures time and date formats.
    • [System]: Modifies system settings.
  3. Repeat the previous step if a sub-option is available under the first selection.
  4. Press [Back] to return to the previous menu.

4 Clock Settings

[Note] If no button is pressed for 30 seconds, you will exit the menu.

Automatic Clock Setting

  1. Press [Menu] to open the menu.
  2. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Clock], then press [Select] to confirm.
  3. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Set auto/manual], then press [Select] to confirm.
  4. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Auto(DAB/RDS)], then press [Select] to confirm.
  5. Press [Back] to return to the previous menu.

The device automatically updates the time based on the time information transmitted by DAB/FM RDS stations, including date information.

Manual Clock Setting

  1. Press [Menu] to open the menu.
  2. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Clock], then press [Select] to confirm.
  3. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Set date&time], then press [Select] to confirm.
  4. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select the hour, then press [Select] to confirm. The hour digits will flash.
  5. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select the minute, then press [Select] to confirm. The minute digits will flash.
  6. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select the month, then press [Select] to confirm.
  7. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select the day, then press [Select] to confirm.
  8. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select the year, then press [Select] to confirm.

The time is now set.

  1. Press [Back] to return to the previous menu.

Clock Format Setting

  1. Press [Menu] to open the menu.
  2. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Clock], then press [Select] to confirm.
  3. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Set 12H/24H], then press [Select] to confirm.
  4. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [12H] or [24H], then press [Select] to confirm.
  5. Press [Back] to return to the previous menu.

Date Format Setting

  1. Press [Menu] to open the menu.
  2. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Clock], then press [Select] to confirm.
  3. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Set date format], then press [Select] to confirm.
  4. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [MM-DD-YYYY], [DD-MM-YYYY], or [YYYY-MM-DD], then press [Select] to confirm.
  5. Press [Back] to return to the previous menu.

Clock Style

  1. Press [Menu] to open the menu.
  2. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Clock], then press [Select] to confirm.
  3. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Clock style], then press [Select] to confirm.
  4. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Classic analog] or [Normal digital], then press [Select] to confirm.
  5. Press [Back] to return to the previous menu.

5 Alarm Settings

Setting Alarm Time

[Note] Ensure the clock is set correctly.

  1. Press [Menu] to open the menu.
  2. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Alarm], then press [Select] to confirm.
  3. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Alarm 1 Setup] or [Alarm 2 Setup], then press [Select] to confirm.
  4. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Wake up time], then press [Select] to confirm. The hour digits will flash.
  5. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select the hour, then press [Select] to confirm. The minute digits will flash.
  6. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select the minute, then press [Select] to confirm.
  7. If [Once] is selected for the alarm, set the alarm date using [Navigate] and [Select].
  8. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Frequency], then press [Select] to confirm. The alarm repeat cycle will flash.
  9. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select the alarm repeat cycle (Once, Daily, Weekly, or Weekend), then press [Select] to confirm.
  10. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Source], then press [Select] to confirm. The alarm source will flash.
  11. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select the alarm source (Buzzer, DAB, or FM station), then press [Select] to confirm.

If [DAB] or [FM] is selected as the alarm source (Buzzer is the default), an additional option [Source] will appear in the alarm menu. Use the [Navigate] and [Select] buttons to choose the preset DAB or FM radio station number.

  1. Press [Back] to return to the previous menu.

[Note] The corresponding alarm icon will appear.

[Note] The device exits the alarm setting mode if not used for 30 seconds.

[Note] If DAB/FM is selected as the alarm source, but no station is preset, the buzzer will be used automatically.

[Note] The alarm will stop after 60 minutes if the user ignores it.

Enabling/Disabling Alarm Timer

  1. Press [Menu] to open the menu.
  2. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Alarm], then press [Select] to confirm.
  3. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Alarm 1] or [Alarm 2], then press [Select] to confirm.
  4. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [On] or [Off], then press [Navigate] to enable or disable the alarm timer and press [Select] to confirm.
  5. Press [Back] to return to the previous menu.

When the alarm timer is enabled, the icon will appear. When the alarm timer is disabled, the icon will disappear.

Snooze

When the alarm sounds, press [Snooze]. The alarm will be delayed and sound again in ten minutes (default is ten minutes).

At other times (in minutes), press [Snooze] to set the snooze duration:

  • 10
  • 20
  • 30
  • 40
  • 50
  • 60 (minutes)

To cancel the snooze, press and hold the [Snooze] or [Power] button for three seconds. The alarm will stop.

Muting Alarm

When the alarm sounds, press any key to pause it and activate snooze, or press the [Alarm] button to stop the alarm. The alarm will stop, but the alarm settings will remain.

Turning Off After a Set Time

This portable radio can automatically switch to standby mode after setting a sleep timer.

  1. Turn on the unit.
  2. Press [Snooze] to set the sleep timer.
  3. Press [Snooze] multiple times to select a different sleep timer duration:
    • Off
    • 15
    • 30
    • 45
    • 60
    • 90
    • 120 (minutes)

To disable the sleep timer: Repeat the above steps to turn off the sleep timer.

6 DAB Radio Listening

[Note] To avoid radio interference, keep the portable radio away from other electronic devices.

[Note] For best reception, fully extend the DAB/FM antenna and adjust its position.

Listening to DAB Stations

The first time you select DAB radio mode, or if the station list is empty, the unit will scan thoroughly.

  1. Turn on the unit.
  2. Press [DAB] to select DAB mode. [Scanning...] will be displayed. The radio will automatically scan all DAB stations and then play the first available station. The list of radio stations will be displayed on the radio. The unit will not scan again on subsequent uses.
  3. All stations found. Press [Navigate] to browse the found stations, then press [Select] to choose.
  4. To organize the list, quickly scan again by pressing [Scan] for three seconds.
  5. Press [Back] to open the DAB menu, select [Full scan], turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Yes] or [No], then press [Select] to confirm.

Manual Station Search

In addition to automatic search, you can also tune manually. This is useful if you change location or want to listen to radio stations not found by automatic tuning.

  1. Press [Back] to open the DAB menu.
  2. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Manual tune], then press [Select] to confirm.
  3. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to browse DAB channels numbered from 5A to 13F, then press [Select] to confirm. The unit will display the frequency and start scanning.
  4. Press [Back] to exit the menu.

Saving DAB Stations

[Note] You can save up to 20 DAB stations.

  1. Listen to a DAB station in DAB mode.
  2. Press and hold [Favorite] for three seconds to use the programming mode. The preset list will appear on the screen.
  3. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select the number.
  4. Press [Select] to save the preset station. "Preset xx Stored" will appear on the screen.
  5. Repeat steps 1-5 to save more DAB stations.

[Tip] To remove a preset station, save another station in its place.

Saving and Selecting Favorite Stations

[Note] Favorite stations are saved using buttons 1 or 2.

  1. Listen to a DAB station in DAB mode.
  2. To save the current station to your desired favorite slot, press and hold 1 or 2 for three seconds. "Preset 1 or 2 stored" will be displayed. The station is saved to the selected slot.
  3. To select a preset DAB station, press 1 or 2 in DAB mode.

Selecting Preset Stations

  1. Press [DAB] in DAB mode.
  2. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select a preset radio station.

[Note] Preset radio stations are confirmed automatically after 3 seconds.

Removing Defective Stations

  1. Press [Back] to open the DAB menu.
  2. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Prune], then press [Select] to confirm.
  3. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Yes] (which removes all invalid stations from the list) or [No], then press [Select] to confirm.
  4. Press [Back] to exit the menu.

Dynamic Range Compression (DRC)

Compresses the dynamic range of the radio signal, making quiet sounds louder and loud sounds quieter.

  1. Press [Back] to open the DAB menu.
  2. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [DRC level], then press [Select] to confirm.
  3. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [High], [Low], or [Off], then press [Select] to confirm.
  4. Press [Back] to exit the menu.

Displaying DAB Text

While listening to DAB radio, press and hold [Menu] for three seconds to display the following information (if available):

  • DAB or DAB+
  • Station name
  • Scrolling text
  • Service type (e.g., [NEWS], [SPORT], [POP M]...)
  • Time
  • Text
  • Frequency

Navigating Menus in DAB Mode

While listening to DAB, you can browse the menus using the controls.

  1. Press [Back] to open the DAB menu.
  2. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select a menu option, then press [Select] to confirm or open a submenu.
    • [Full scan]: Scans and saves all available DAB radio stations.
    • [Manual tune]: Manually tune to a specific channel/frequency and add it to the station list.
    • [Prune]: Removes invalid entries from the station list.
    • [DRC level]: Compresses the dynamic range of the radio signal, making quiet sounds louder and loud sounds quieter.
    • [Kitchen timer]: Sets the kitchen timer.
    • [Sleep timer]: Turns off the unit after a set time.
    • [Display]: Adjusts backlight, dimming, and timeout settings.
    • [Alarm]: Turns Alarm 1 or 2 on/off and configures it.
    • [Clock]: Updates the time, sets the date/time, and configures time and date formats.
    • [System]: Modifies system settings.
  3. Repeat the previous step if a sub-option is available under the first selection.
  4. Press [Back] to return to the previous menu.

[Note] If no button is pressed for 30 seconds, you will exit the menu.

7 FM Radio Listening

[Note] To avoid radio interference, keep the portable radio away from other electronic devices.

[Note] For best reception, fully extend the DAB/FM antenna and adjust its position.

Automatic Tuning

  1. Press [Power] to turn on the unit.
  2. Press [FM] to select FM mode.
  3. Press and hold [Navigate] for 3 seconds. The portable radio will automatically tune to the best-received station.

Manual Station Search

Press [Navigate] to tune to a station by frequency. The radio's reception capability is 50 KHz. The displayed radio frequency increases by 0.05 MHz when you press [Navigate].

Automatic FM Station Search and Saving

[Note] You can save up to 20 FM stations.

In FM reception mode, press and hold [Scan] for three seconds. "Auto Scanning..." will be displayed. The radio will automatically scan and save all FM stations, then play the first available station.

Manual FM Station Saving

  1. Listen to an FM radio station in FM mode.
  2. Press and hold [Favorite] for three seconds to use the programming mode. The preset list will appear on the screen.
  3. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select the number.
  4. Press [Select] to save the preset station.
  5. Repeat steps 1-4 to save more FM stations.

[Tip] To remove a preset station, save another station in its place if the preset limit is reached.

Saving and Selecting Favorite Stations

[Note] Favorite stations are saved using buttons 1 and 2.

  1. Listen to an FM radio station in FM mode.
  2. To save the current station to your desired favorite slot, press and hold 1 or 2 (preset number) for three seconds. "Preset 1 or 2 stored" will be displayed. The preset number and station frequency will be displayed.
  3. To select a preset FM station, press 1 or 2 in FM mode.

Selecting Preset Stations

  1. Press [FM] in FM mode.
  2. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select a preset radio station.

[Note] Preset radio stations are confirmed automatically after 3 seconds.

Scan Sensitivity Settings

  1. Press [Back] to open the FM menu.
  2. Press [Select] to open [Scan setting].
  3. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Strong] (only for stations with very good reception) or [All] (all stations), then press [Select] to confirm.
  4. Press [Back] to exit the menu.

Displaying RDS Information

RDS (Radio Data System) is a service that allows additional information to be displayed from FM stations.

  1. Change FM RDS stations.
  2. Press and hold [Menu] for three seconds to display the following information (if available):
    • Station name
    • Service type, e.g., [NEWS] (News), [SPORT] (Sport), [POP M] (Pop music)...
    • Time
    • Text
    • Frequency

Navigating Menus in FM Mode

While listening to FM, you can browse the menus using the controls.

  1. Press [Back] to open the FM menu.
  2. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select a menu option, then press [Select] to confirm or open a submenu.
    • [Scan setting]: Select scan sensitivity (only for stations with very good reception or all stations).
    • [Kitchen timer]: Sets the kitchen timer.
    • [Sleep timer]: Turns off the unit after a set time.
    • [Display]: Adjusts backlight, dimming, and timeout settings.
    • [Alarm]: Turns Alarm 1 or 2 on/off and configures it.
    • [Clock]: Updates the time, sets the date/time, and configures time and date formats.
    • [System]: Modifies system settings.
  3. Repeat the previous step if a sub-option is available under the first selection.
  4. Press [Back] to return to the previous menu.

[Note] If no button is pressed for 30 seconds, you will exit the menu.

8 Listening via Bluetooth®

[Note] Maintain a distance of up to 25 meters between devices without obstacles.

[Note] Compatibility with all Bluetooth® devices is not guaranteed.

[Note] Any obstacle between devices may reduce the operating range.

[Note] Keep away from other electronic devices that may interfere with the connection.

[Note] Moving at least one device beyond the operating range will also interrupt the connection.

Connecting via Bluetooth®

  1. Press [Mode] to select Bluetooth mode. [Not Connected] will appear.
  2. To connect, enable Bluetooth on your Bluetooth device, search for and select [Philips TAV2000DB].

When connected:

  • You will hear a notification sound.
  • [Connected] will appear.

Disconnecting via Bluetooth®

  • Select another source on your device.
  • Disable Bluetooth on your Bluetooth device.

Or, press and hold [Mode] for three seconds to remove the Bluetooth connection. If the disconnection is successful:

  • You will hear a notification sound.
  • [Pairing] will appear.

Or,

  1. Press [Back] to open the Bluetooth menu.
  2. Press [Select] to select [Bluetooth pair].
  3. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Yes] (which disconnects the Bluetooth® connection and starts pairing mode), then press [Select] to confirm.

Clearing Bluetooth® Pairing Records

  1. Press [Back] to open the Bluetooth menu.
  2. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Bluetooth clean], then press [Select] to confirm.
  3. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Yes] (to disconnect the current connection) or [No] (to keep the current connection), then press [Select] to confirm.
  4. Press [Back] to exit the menu.

Playing Music

When playing music from a Bluetooth® device, you can manage music playback with this unit.

  • Press [Select] to pause/resume playback.
  • Press [Navigate] to play the next track.
  • Turn the dial to adjust the volume.

Navigating Menus in Bluetooth® Mode

While listening via Bluetooth®, you can browse the menus using the controls.

  1. Press [Back] to open the Bluetooth® menu.
  2. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select a menu option, then press [Select] to confirm or open a submenu.
    • [Bluetooth pair]: Disconnects the Bluetooth connection and enters pairing mode.
    • [Bluetooth clean]: Clears Bluetooth pairing logs.
    • [Kitchen timer]: Sets the kitchen timer.
    • [Sleep timer]: Turns off the unit after a set time.
    • [Display]: Adjusts backlight, dimming, and timeout settings.
    • [Alarm]: Turns Alarm 1 or 2 on/off and configures it.
    • [Clock]: Updates the time, sets the date/time, and configures time and date formats.
    • [System]: Modifies system settings.
  3. Repeat the previous step if a sub-option is available under the first selection.
  4. Press [Back] to return to the previous menu.

[Note] If no button is pressed for 30 seconds, you will exit the menu.

9 Kitchen Timer Settings

[Note] The device exits the menu if not used for 30 seconds.

Setting the Kitchen Timer

  1. Press [Power] to turn on the unit.
  2. Press [Back] to open the menu.
  3. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Kitchen timer], then press [Select] to confirm.
  4. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Kitchen timer setup], then press [Select] to confirm.

Or, press and hold [Snooze] to directly access the kitchen timer. The hour digits will flash.

  1. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select the hour, then press [Select] to confirm. The minute digits will flash.
  2. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select the minute, then press [Select] to confirm. The second digits will flash.
  3. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select the second, then press [Select] to confirm.
  4. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [On/Off], then press [Select] to confirm.
  5. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [On] (in use) or [Off] (disabled) for the kitchen timer, then press [Select] to confirm.
  6. Press [Back] to return to the previous menu.

[Note] The kitchen timer will stop after 60 minutes if the user ignores it.

Muting Kitchen Timer Sounds

When the kitchen timer sounds, press any key to mute the buzzer.

Turning Off the Kitchen Timer

  1. To turn off the kitchen timer via the menu, press [Back].
  2. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Kitchen timer], then press [Select] to confirm.
  3. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [On/Off], then press [Select] to confirm.
  4. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Off], then press [Select] to confirm.
  5. Press [Back] to exit the menu.

[Note] The kitchen timer can only be turned off when the unit is in use.

The kitchen timer icon will appear.

10 Other Features

Selecting Menu Language

  1. Press [Back] to open the menu.
  2. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [System], then press [Select] to confirm.

Insert headphones into the jack located on the back of the main unit.

Factory Reset

  1. Press [Back] to open the menu.
  2. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [System], then press [Select] to confirm.
  3. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Factory reset], then press [Select] to confirm.
  4. Turn the dial or press [Navigate] to select [Yes] to restore all radio settings to factory defaults, then press [Select] to confirm. [Restarting...] will be displayed.

12 Troubleshooting

Warning

No Power

  • Ensure the portable radio is fully charged.
  • Ensure the USB port of the portable radio is connected correctly.

No Sound

  • Adjust the volume of the portable radio.
  • Adjust the volume of the connected device.
  • Ensure the Bluetooth device is within usable range.

Unit is unresponsive

  • Restart the portable radio.

Poor Radio Reception

  • To avoid radio interference, keep the portable radio away from other electronic devices.
  • Fully extend the antenna and adjust its position.

Alarm Not Working

  • Set the clock/alarm correctly.

Clock/Alarm Settings Deleted

  • Reset the clock/alarm.
  • Replace backup batteries.

Poor Sound Quality After Connecting a Bluetooth Device

  • Bluetooth reception is poor. Move the unit closer to the speaker or remove any obstacles between them.

Cannot Find Speaker via Bluetooth Pairing [Philips TAV2000DB]

  • To enable Bluetooth pairing mode, press and hold [Mode] for three seconds, then try again.

Bluetooth Connection Fails

  • Bluetooth is disabled on the device. Refer to the device's user manual to enable it.
  • The portable radio is not in pairing mode.
  • This portable radio is already connected to another Bluetooth device.
  • Disconnect and try again.

Battery Not Charging Properly or Draining Too Quickly

  • Replace batteries.
  • Open the battery compartment on the back of the unit and remove the original battery from its housing.
  • Insert a battery of the same type (not supplied).
  • Lock the battery compartment.
