  • Using cabinets or stands recommended by the manufacturer of the television set.
  • Only using furniture that can safely support the television set.
  • Ensuring the television set is not overhanging the edge of the supporting furniture.
  • Not placing the television set on tall furniture (for example, cupboards or bookcases) without anchoring both the furniture and the television set to a suitable support.
  • Not placing the television set on cloth or other materials that may be located between the television set and supporting furniture.

If your existing television set is being retained and relocated, the same considerations as above should be applied.

Safety Information

General Safety Precautions:

  • This product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
  • Like all electronic products, this product is not a toy and should be kept out of reach of children.
  • This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless supervised by a person responsible for their safety or given instructions on how to use the device.
  • In case of the following situations, immediately unplug the power cord and contact customer service:
    • If the device has been exposed to extreme shock.
    • If the device is damaged or foreign objects have entered the device.
    • If smoke or unusual odors emanate from the device.
  • Do not disassemble the product into its individual parts. The device contains no user-serviceable components. Improper reassembly can lead to electric shock or malfunction.
  • Never open the device! Any repair attempt by unqualified persons can be dangerous.
  • Do not make any modifications to the product, as this will void all warranty claims.
  • Do not place liquid-filled objects or open flames (fire) on the device.

Transport Instructions:

  • Handle the device only by the housing edges. The display is made of glass or plastic and can break or be damaged if handled improperly. No warranty will be provided for damage caused by external influences.
  • Avoid touching the screen or pressing on the screen or frame with your fingers for extended periods. This can cause temporary distortion effects or damage to the screen.
  • Do not apply strong pressure to the device display with your hand or a pointed object such as a nail, pencil, or ballpoint pen.
  • It is recommended to move or transport the TV set in its original carton or packaging (if not permanently mounted).

Mounting Instructions:

  • Ensure ventilation slots on the back of the device remain clear. Do not place foreign objects such as newspapers, doilies, or other textiles on or over the TV set. Ensure at least 2 cm of free space on the sides and top for air circulation.
  • If the device is installed or mounted in a cabinet or shelf, ensure that air circulation is adequate. Like any electronic device, the product requires air for cooling during operation. If air circulation is hindered, it can lead to fire or automatic shutdown (protective shutdown).
  • Protect the device from dusty environments.
  • If the TV set is mounted on the wall, it must not be hung on the power and signal cables on the back of the TV set. Otherwise, there is a risk of fire or electric shock.
  • Ensure that children do not hang on or climb on the TV set. Otherwise, the device may tip over, causing serious injury.
  • If you mount the TV set on the wall, attach a VESA wall mount (optionally available) to the back of the device. If you wish to mount the TV set with a wall mount, attach it carefully to prevent it from falling.
  • Do not place the product on unstable shelves or inclined surfaces. Also, avoid locations that vibrate or where the product does not have a secure hold. Otherwise, the device may fall down or tip over, causing injury or damage to the device.
  • The device should not protrude forward, especially when placed in or on furniture.
  • Do not touch the ventilation openings while the TV set is running for a long time, as the ventilation openings may become hot.

Electrical Safety:

  • Incorrect voltages can damage the device. This device must only be connected to a power supply network with the voltage specified on the type plate using the correct 12V/24V device connection cable.
  • Always route the power cable so that it cannot be damaged. The power cable must not be kinked, routed over sharp edges, stepped on, or exposed to chemicals. A power cable with damaged insulation can lead to electric shock and poses a fire hazard.
  • Additional Notes – External 230V Power Supply (optional):
    • When using the product with a 230V power supply, ensure it is always easily accessible to quickly remove it from the socket in an emergency.
    • Do not touch the power plug with wet hands. If the contact pins are wet or dusty, dry the power plug completely or remove dust from it. Moisture increases the risk of a fatal electric shock.
    • The power cable must be fully inserted into the socket. If the power cable is not firmly inserted into the socket, there is a risk of fire.
    • Do not touch the end of the power cable with a conductive object (e.g., a fork) while the power cable is connected to the socket.
    • No metal objects such as coins, hairpins, cutlery, or wire, nor flammable objects such as paper or matches, should enter the device. Pay particular attention to children. There is a risk of electric shock, fire, or injury. If an object enters the device, unplug the power cable and contact customer service.
    • The power cable must not come into contact with hot objects such as a heater. Also, do not place heavy objects or the device itself on the power cable. Otherwise, there is a risk of fire and electric shock.
    • Do not connect too many electrical devices to a single socket. Otherwise, fires may occur due to overheating.

Remote Control and Batteries:

  • Attention! Laser Class 1: The remote control has a Class 1 laser diode. Do not look at it with optical devices to avoid eye injuries.
  • Ensure that no objects are between the remote control and the IR sensor. The signal from the remote control can be disturbed by sunlight or other strong light radiation.
  • Important Safety Instructions:
    • Always keep batteries out of the reach of children! There is a risk of swallowing.
    • Never attempt to recharge alkaline batteries.
    • Do not short-circuit batteries or throw them into fire.
    • Always replace both batteries simultaneously. Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of different types.
    • Battery acid that leaks from a battery can cause skin irritation. If it comes into contact with skin, rinse with plenty of water. If the liquid gets into your eyes, rinse thoroughly with water, do not rub, and seek medical attention immediately.

Multimedia Functions

HDMI CEC Function

As the operating system is webOS Hub from LG, the TV set supports SIMPLINK (LG's own CEC control). This allows, for example, a soundbar with an HDMI™™ input, a console, or an Android stick to be connected and controlled via the TV's remote control.

Procedure:

  1. Connect the corresponding device to the HDMI™™ port on the back of the TV.
  2. Press the [menu-symbol] button on the remote control and select the following path: All Settings > General > Devices > HDMI Settings > SIMPLINK (HDMI-CEC) and activate it.

Note: For connecting corresponding devices, please use a high-quality connection cable (High Speed HDMI™™ Cable with Ethernet), which also has the appropriate pin assignment for information exchange between both devices.

Using HDMI ARC

If a corresponding device (e.g., a soundbar) has been connected via HDMI™™, and you wish to output the sound through it, the audio output source must also be changed.

Press the [menu-symbol] button on the remote control and select [Audio Output] in the quick selection. Confirm the selection with the [ENTER] button. The audio output can now be changed accordingly to the HDMI(ARC) device.

Connecting Bluetooth® Output Devices

If a Bluetooth® headphone or a Bluetooth® speaker is to be connected to the TV set, you can set this up in two ways.

Go to the device settings using the [menu-symbol] button on the remote control.

Option 1 – Setup via [Audio Output] (third item from the top):

Use the navigation buttons (left/right) to select the [Bluetooth Device] option.

Cleaning

Do not spray water on the product, and do not bring it into contact with flammable substances (thinners or benzene). There is a risk of electric shock and fire.

When cleaning, ensure that no liquids penetrate the product. The use of solvent-based or aggressive cleaning agents, as well as spirits or thinners, is prohibited, as they could damage the coating or the surface of the product. Therefore, clean the product exclusively with a soft, lint-free, and slightly damp cloth.
