For Your Safety
Observing the following statements and warnings reduces the likelihood of serious or fatal injury.
- Intended Use: This apparatus is for its intended purpose only as a child's play apparatus. Maximum one child per seating place or per individual play apparatus (exception: the surfboard may be used by maximum two children concurrently). All other use is inadmissible and potentially dangerous. The manufacturer is not responsible for any damages caused by use other than as directed.
- Age Recommendation: This product is intended for use by children from ages 3 to 10.
- Location: Mounting is permitted only in a private household outdoor environment. Use in public or semi-public playgrounds or schools is inadmissible.
- Safety Distance: Ensure a sufficient safety distance (at least 7 ft / 2m) from any obstacles (walls, fences, trees). The apparatus must not be mounted in the immediate vicinity of main passageways (paths, doorways, corridors). Refer to the illustration concerning the safety area.
- General Danger: Be aware that there is always a potential danger of children injuring themselves while using swings, climbing frames, toy vehicles, or similar equipment.
- Ground Surface: The ground in the play and safety area should be level and consist of unbound, shock-absorbing ground material. A fall onto a hard surface can result in serious injury.
- Swing Element Height: Maintain a sufficient distance from the ground of at least 16 inches for swing elements.
- Stability: The apparatus must stand firmly, safe from tilting or tipping. It must be set in concrete using the included ground anchors, strictly according to the illustration. Anchoring devices must be placed below the level of the playing surface to prevent tripping or injury.
- Maintenance & Inspection: Inspect all components twice a month during the usage season for possible damages and loose connections. Also check all coverings of bolts and sharp edges twice a month to ensure they are in place.
- Pre-Use Check: Before each use, always check that all screws, plug-in connections, and safety devices fit correctly. This is particularly important at the beginning of the season.
- Part Replacement: Damaged or worn parts must be replaced immediately. The apparatus is not to be used until restored. Use exclusively Original KETTLER replacement parts.
- Safety Testing: The device is safety tested.
- Prohibited Modifications: Improper repair or constructional changes (disassembly of original parts, attachment of unapproved parts) can result in danger. Modifications, particularly to the suspension arrangement, are prohibited.
- Weight Limit: Use of the apparatus is permitted for children up to 110 lbs (approx. 14 years of age).
- Small Children: Children up to about 36 months must not use the seesaw alone, as their strength may not be sufficient to keep their body weight in balance.
- Child Abilities: Ensure the toy is used by children with appropriate abilities and that it is operated safely.
- Weather Conditions: During extreme weather, check if children can use the apparatus. Strong solar radiation can heat up equipment. Below freezing point, skin may freeze to the surface.
- Foreign Materials: Check the equipment for potentially hazardous foreign materials.
- Ropes/Chains: Verify that suspended climbing ropes, chains, etc., are secured at both ends and cannot loop back on themselves.
- Clothing: Children should wear sturdy shoes. Loose-fitting clothing is potentially hazardous.
Instructions for Children:
- Do not walk in front, between, behind, or close to moving items.
- Do not twist swing chains, ropes, etc., over the top support bar.
- Avoid swinging empty seats.
- Sit always in the center of the seats.
- Do not get off equipment while it is in motion.
- Do not climb or use when the equipment is wet.
- Do not attach items to the playground equipment that are not specifically designed for use with this apparatus, as ropes and chains may cause a strangulation hazard.
Remove plastic swing seats and store indoors, or do not use when the temperature drops below 32°F (0°C).
How to Handle the Swing
Attention: Usage must not commence until the apparatus has been properly assembled and subsequently controlled by an adult.
Instruct children on the proper handling of the apparatus and advise them of possible dangers. Remember that children's natural play instinct and temper may lead to unforeseeable situations, excluding manufacturer responsibility.
Although dangers during proper use are highly unlikely, all play on the apparatus should be monitored by an adult.
For cleaning and care, use only environmentally friendly and non-aggressive or corrosive agents. If repainting is needed, use only lead-free paint. Regularly grease the moving parts with a few drops of oil.
Instructions for Assembly
Ensure that you have received all the parts required (see checklist) and that they are undamaged. Should you have any cause for complaint, please contact your KETTLER dealer.
Before assembling the equipment, study the drawings carefully and carry out the operations in the order shown by the diagrams. The correct sequence is given in capital letters. The fastening material required for each assembly step is shown in the diagram insert. Use the fastening material exactly as instructed. The required tools are supplied with the equipment.
The equipment must be assembled with due care by an adult person. If in doubt, call upon the help of a second person, if possible mechanically talented.
Please note that there is always a danger of injury when working with tools or doing manual work. Therefore, be careful when assembling this apparatus.
Ensure that your working area is free of possible sources of danger, for example, do not leave any tools lying around. Always dispose of packaging material in such a way that it may not cause any danger. There is always a risk of suffocation if children play with plastic bags!
Bolt all the parts together loosely at first, and check that they have been assembled correctly. Tighten the locknuts by hand until resistance is felt, then use a wrench to finally tighten nuts completely against resistance (locking device). Then check that all screw connections have been tightened firmly. Attention: Once locknuts have been unscrewed, they no longer function correctly (the locking device is destroyed) and must be replaced.
For technical reasons, KETTLER reserves the right to carry out preliminary assembly work (e.g., addition of tubing plugs).

Assembly Steps
Follow the sequence indicated by capital letters in the diagrams. Use the specified fastening material.
Step 1
Connect the main base tubes (A) to the frame tubes (B) using 6x M8x60 bolts, washers, and nuts. Ensure a secure connection.
Diagram Description: Shows two main base tubes being attached to the upper frame structure with bolts.
Step 2
Attach the support tubes to the frame. Use 4x M8x50 bolts, washers, and nuts.
Diagram Description: Illustrates the attachment of the angled support tubes to the main frame.
Step 3
Attach the rope bearings (part of item 10) to the top support bar. Use the L-hooks (item 6) with fastening material (2x). The hook is approximately 10mm in diameter.
Diagram Description: Shows rope bearings being fitted onto the top bar, secured by L-hooks. A separate illustration shows the L-hook shape, marked "NOT ACTUAL SIZE".
Step 4
Secure the apparatus legs to the ground anchors. Use 4x M8x50 bolts, washers, and nuts.
Diagram Description: Depicts the lower legs of the swing frame being bolted into the installed ground anchors.
Safety Area Requirements
The following diagrams illustrate the required safety zones around the swing to prevent injuries.
Main Safety Zone Layout:
The apparatus requires a clear safety zone around it. Dimensions are approximate and should be adhered to:
- Total Width: 185 cm
- Side Safety Zones (S*): 200 cm on each side.
- Front/Back Safety Zones: 300 cm in front and behind the apparatus.
The text "S* Sicherheitsbereich / Safety Zone / Zone de sécurité / Veiligheidszon / Zona de seguridad / Sattore di sicurezza / Strefa bezpieczna" is associated with these safety zones.
Swing Arc Clearance:
Ensure adequate clearance for the swing's movement:
- Swing Angle: 20° on each side from the vertical.
- Minimum Clearance: Maintain a minimum of 40 cm clearance from the swing's arc path.
- Side Safety Zones (S*): 200 cm on each side.
Ground Anchor Installation:
For stability, the apparatus must be anchored into the ground. The ground anchors should be installed in a concrete base with the following approximate dimensions:
- Base: 35x35 cm
- Depth: 30 cm
The anchoring devices must be placed below the level of the playing surface to prevent tripping or injury.
