LÅNGUDDEN Kitchen Sink Installation Guide
Product Overview
The LÅNGUDDEN is a series of stainless steel kitchen sinks offered by IKEA, available in single and double bowl configurations. This guide provides instructions for its installation.
Important Installation Notes
Follow the installation instructions supplied with your mixer tap and water trap. Please note that silicone sealant, screws, and mounting fittings are not included with the sink. It is crucial to use silicone sealant to seal the gap between the countertop and the sink to prevent water from entering. Ensure you select screws or mounting fittings that are appropriate for your wall or ceiling material and have sufficient holding power. If you are uncertain about the correct fixings, consult a local specialized dealer.
Tools and Materials Required
The following tools are typically needed for installation:
- Screwdriver [tool]
- Ruler [tool]
- Spatula [tool]
- Jigsaw [tool]
- Drill [tool]
- Pliers [tool]
Note: Silicone sealant and appropriate wall/ceiling fixings must be purchased separately.
Installation Steps
The installation process involves cutting a precise opening in the countertop, sealing the edges, and securing the sink.
Step 1: Preparing the Countertop
Place a template or cover over the countertop. Mark the cut lines for the sink opening according to the specified dimensions. Key dimensions provided include offsets from edges (e.g., 55 mm, 65 mm) and overall sink width (e.g., 650 mm).

Step 2: Cutting the Opening
Drill pilot holes at the corners of the marked opening (e.g., 10 mm or 3/8 inch diameter). Then, use a jigsaw to cut out the countertop opening. The process may involve drilling larger pilot holes (e.g., 5/16 inch or 8 mm) to start the jigsaw cut.

Step 3: Sealing the Edges
Apply silicone sealant to the cut edges of the countertop opening to create a watertight seal. Also, apply silicone sealant to the underside of the sink rim where it will meet the countertop.

Step 4: Mounting the Sink
Carefully place the sink into the prepared opening. Ensure it is correctly positioned. Use the provided mounting clips (e.g., 110385, 109184) to secure the sink to the underside of the countertop. The number of clips required varies by sink model (e.g., 5x, 8x, 10x, 12x). Ensure a minimum clearance of 60 mm is maintained around the sink for clip installation.

Sink Dimensions and Clip Quantities:
- 560x525 mm sink: Requires 8x clips (part numbers 110385, 10107966)
- 460x455 mm sink: Requires 5x clips (part numbers 109184, 10107966)
- 750x525 mm sink: Requires 12x clips (part numbers 110385, 109184, 10107966)
Step 5: Final Securing
Tighten the mounting clips to firmly secure the sink. Ensure clips are positioned correctly, typically within a range of 28-40 mm (1 1/8 - 1 5/8 inches) from the edge of the sink flange.

Step 6: Installing the Water Trap and Drain
The LILLVIKEN water trap and drain assembly (part number 148962) should be installed according to its specific instructions, which are typically provided separately or as part of a larger assembly guide.
