Safety Instructions

Hook-Up
Step 1: Connections
Connecting to an External Effects Processor with Mixing Board:
- Connect the INPUTS 1 and 2 of the FX2000 to the AUX SEND outputs of your mixing board using TRS cables.
- Connect the OUTPUTS 1 and 2 of the FX2000 to the AUX RETURN inputs of your mixing board using TRS cables.
- For MIDI control, connect a MIDI controller (e.g., FCB1010) to the MIDI IN connector of the FX2000.
Connecting to a Guitar Amp Effects Loop:
- Connect the FX2000's INPUT 1 to the SEND output of your guitar amp's effects loop.
- Connect the FX2000's OUTPUT 1 to the RETURN input of your guitar amp's effects loop.
Controls Overview
Front Panel Controls:
- DISPLAY: Shows the effect name, parameter name, and parameter value of the current preset.
- LEVEL METERS: Display the signal level relative to the setting of the OPERATING LEVEL button.
- STATUS LEDs: Indicate the type of value that may currently be edited (e.g., %, dB, Hz, sec).
- PRESET button: Enables the JOG WHEEL to scroll through the 200 presets.
- EFFECT button: Enables the JOG WHEEL to scroll through the 71 basic effect algorithms.
- EDIT button: Selects the function of the EDIT KNOBS. The EDIT LEDs indicate which functions are active.
- EDIT KNOBS (A-F): Adjust various effect parameters, EQ settings, MIDI functions, and INPUT/OUTPUT configurations.
- MIX knob: Adjusts the wet/dry mix of the output signal. Pressing the MIX knob bypasses the processor.
- JOG WHEEL: Scrolls through presets and adjusts parameter values.
- POWER button: Turns the unit on and off.
- STORE button: Saves an altered preset to a desired location.
- COMPARE button: Temporarily restores an altered preset's settings to compare changes to the original sound.
- SETUP button: Enters Setup Mode, enabling the EDIT KNOBS to select categories within MIDI, INPUT, OUTPUT, and CONFIGURATION.
Rear Panel Connections:
- INPUTS 1 & 2: Balanced 1/4" TRS and XLR jacks.
- OUTPUTS 1 & 2: Balanced 1/4" TRS and XLR jacks.
- MIDI IN, MIDI OUT, THRU: 5-pin DIN connectors for MIDI command transmission and reception.
- OPERATING LEVEL button: Switches between -10 dBV and +4 dBu for optimal operating range.
- Mains Connection: Standard IEC receptacle for power input.
Getting Started
- Make all audio, MIDI, and power connections to the FX2000. Ensure all devices are powered off.
- Power up the FX2000 first, followed by other connected devices.
- Turn the MIX knob to adjust the effect's intensity (wet/dry mix). For use with a mixing board, set the MIX knob fully clockwise.
- Adjust the Send and Return levels on your amplifier or mixer as needed. Ensure the LEVEL METERS on the front panel do not reach the red CLIP LEDs.
- To select a preset, press the PRESET button, then use the JOG WHEEL to scroll through the available presets.
- To edit a preset, press the EDIT button, then use the EDIT KNOBS to adjust parameters A-D. Press EDIT again for parameters E, F, and EQ settings.
- To save an altered preset, press the STORE button, use the JOG WHEEL to select a user preset location, and press STORE again to confirm.

Preset Chart
The VIRTUALIZER 3D FX2000 features a comprehensive list of internal (factory) presets and user-defined presets, covering a wide range of effects including reverbs, delays, modulation, filters, distortion, and more. Each preset is categorized by effect type and includes parameters for adjustment.
