Introduction
The Kensington SD4849Pv is a USB-C Triple Video Docking Station designed to expand connectivity for laptops. It supports up to 100W Power Delivery (PD) and allows for multiple display setups via DisplayPort (DP) and HDMI connections.
Step 1: Connect the Power Adapter
Connect the included AC adapter to the back of the dock. Connect the power cable to the adapter. Plug the power cable into a wall outlet.

Step 2: Understand the Dock Ports
Front Ports
The front of the dock features the following ports (from top to bottom):
- Headphone jack [audio-jack]
- SD and Micro SD UHS-I 3.0 card readers [SD card reader], [Micro SD card reader]
- Two USB-A 3.2 Gen2 / 10 Gbps (5V/0.9A) ports for connecting accessories like keyboards, mice, USB drives, cameras, and printers [USB-A port]
- One USB-C 3.2 Gen2 port (up to 5V/1.5A/10Gbps) for connecting devices like external hard drives [USB-C port]
- Power indicator light [power-indicator]
Back Ports
The back of the dock features the following ports (from top to bottom):
- Two USB-A 2.0 ports for connecting accessories like keyboards and mice [USB-A port]
- Ethernet port (10/100/1000Mbps) [ethernet-port]
- One VGA port to support legacy monitors [VGA port]
- One DisplayPort++ (DP1.4) port [DisplayPort]
- Two HDMI 2.0 ports [HDMI port]
- USB-C PD 3.0 port (up to 100W for laptop charging) [USB-C PD port]

Step 3: Connect the Dock to Your Laptop
Connect one end of the included USB-C cable to the USB-C PD 3.0 port on the back of the dock. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to a USB-C port on your laptop. This connection provides up to 100W of laptop charging when the dock is powered.
