Get to Know Your Curling Iron
This section details the components of your Conair Hot Sticks Instant Heat Curling Iron.

⚠️ WARNING: The iron's barrel will get very hot within a few seconds and should not be placed in contact with skin after the curling iron is turned on.
User Maintenance & Storage
Maintenance
Your curling iron requires minimal maintenance. No lubrication is needed. Keep all vents and openings clear of dirt and dust. If cleaning is necessary, disconnect the iron from the power source, allow it to cool, and wipe the exterior with a cloth. If any abnormal condition occurs, unplug the iron, let it cool, and return it to an authorized service center for repair. Do not attempt consumer repairs.
⚠️ CAUTION: NEVER allow the power supply cord to be pulled or twisted. Never wrap the cord around the curling iron. Damage can occur at the cord's entry point, leading to rupture and short circuit. Inspect the cord frequently for damage. Stop use immediately if damage is visible or if the unit stops or operates intermittently.
Storage
When not in use, disconnect the appliance, allow it to cool, and store it in a safe, dry location out of reach of children. Do not jerk or strain the cord at plug connections. Do not wrap the line cord around the appliance. Allow the cord to hang or lie loose and straight at the point of entry into the appliance.

- Always unplug the appliance immediately after using.

- Never operate this appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, if it is not working properly, or if it has been dropped or damaged, or dropped into water. Return the appliance to an authorized service center for examination and repair.
- Keep the cord away from heated surfaces. Do not pull, twist, or wrap cord around appliance, even during storage.
- Never block the air openings of the appliance or place it on a soft surface, such as a bed or couch, where the air openings may be blocked. Keep the air openings free of lint, hair, and other debris.
- Never use while sleeping.
- Never drop or insert any object into any opening.
- Do not use outdoors or operate where aerosol (spray) products are being used or where oxygen is being administered.
- Do not use an extension cord to operate the appliance.
- This curling iron is hot when in use. Do not let heated surfaces touch eyes or skin.
- Do not place the heated curling iron directly on any surface or on the appliance power cord while it is hot or plugged in. Use the stand provided.
- Do not touch hot surfaces of the appliance; use handles or knobs.
- Before plugging in, read the information about dual voltage contained in the Operating Instructions of this manual.
- Do not operate with a voltage converter.
⚠️ WARNING: IF YOU THINK THE POWER IS OFF WHEN THE SWITCH IS OFF, YOU'RE WRONG. If the plug is in, the power is on. Always unplug small appliances when not in use.
Operating Instructions
This curling appliance is intended for household use. Use on Alternating Current (50/60 hertz) only.
Dual Voltage
This curling iron has dual voltage and will automatically adjust to the proper voltage. Use an adapter plug with the correct configuration if needed for your outlet.
Getting Started
The iron's 25 temperature settings and Instant Heat technology provide styling versatility for all hair types. For fine hair, use a low temperature. For thick, wavy, or hard-to-curl hair, use a high setting. You can vary the iron's temperature according to your particular need.

Curling Basics
- Plug the curling iron cord into a standard household electrical outlet (120/240V).
- Press the ON/OFF button. The red indicator light will blink. When the desired temperature is reached, the red indicator light will remain on.
- Press the Turbo button; the green indicator light will come on for a burst of extra heat.
- To turn off the unit, press the ON/OFF button again. The red and green lights will go off.
- Never leave your curling iron on and unattended. The unit will automatically shut off after approximately 60 minutes.
- To create spiral curls and ringlets, work with 1-inch sections of hair. Hold the iron horizontally, press the automatic curl release, and place the ends of your hair under the shortened iron spoon. Release the automatic curl release to clamp the hair. Wrap hair around the barrel, twisting upward toward the roots. Leave hair wrapped for approximately 5–7 seconds. Unwind hair from the barrel by opening the automatic curl release. Repeat for all sections.
- For faster styling, use the optional Turbo Heat® burst by pressing the Turbo button to deliver up to 20°C/36°F more heat.

Limited Two-Year Warranty
Conair will repair or replace your unit free of charge for 24 months from the date of purchase if defective in workmanship or materials. To obtain service, return the defective product to a service center listed, with your purchase receipt and $7.50 for postage and handling. California residents need only provide proof of purchase and call 1-800-3-CONAIR for shipping instructions. If no purchase receipt is provided, the warranty period is 24 months from the date of manufacture.
Implied warranties are limited to the 24-month duration of this written warranty. Conair is not liable for special, incidental, or consequential damages.
