Husqvarna Limited Warranty
This document outlines the limited warranty provided by Husqvarna for its products. Husqvarna warrants that its products are free from defects in material or workmanship under normal use and maintenance. At its option, Husqvarna will repair or replace any defective product or part covered by this Limited Warranty, free of charge, at an authorized Servicing Dealer/Center using OEM replacement parts, subject to the limitations and exclusions detailed below.
Limited Warranty Period
The warranty period begins from the date of retail purchase and applies for the timeframes specified in the product charts.
What is NOT Covered
This Limited Warranty does not cover:
- Normal wear parts such as spark plugs, bulbs, filters, lubricants, starter cords, belts, blades, and blade adapters, unless they are defective at the time of purchase. Damage due to normal wear (e.g., abrasion, dulling of blades from contact with objects) is not covered.
- Engine or component damage caused by improper bar, chain, or sprocket pitch/gauge, incorrect chain filing, maintenance, adjustments, or cutting habits.
- Emissions control equipment and components as regulated by government agencies. These are covered by a separate warranty in the operator's manual.
- Products used for commercial, non-residential, or rental purposes may have no warranty or a reduced warranty.
- Damage, malfunctions, or failures resulting from abuse or neglect, including:
- Failure to perform required maintenance as prescribed in the owner's manual.
- Misuse, neglect, modifications, unauthorized attachments, lack of lubrication, or engine failure due to incorrect oil usage.
- Use of fuel containing more than 10% ethanol (E10), such as E15 or E85, or use of methanol. Using E15 or E85 will cause major engine damage not covered by warranty. Gasohol with a maximum of 10% ethanol is approved. The prescribed gasoline to oil ratio is 50:1.
- Damage caused by old, stale, or bad fuel.
- Use of ether or starting fluids.
- Pressure cleaning or steam cleaning the product.
- Use of spark plugs not meeting emission performance requirements.
- Tampering with engine speed governor or emission components, or exceeding recommended engine speeds.
- Operation with improperly installed, removed, or modified cutting shields, guards, or safety devices.
- Damage from removed or damaged air filters, excessive dirt, abrasives, saltwater, moisture, corrosion, rust, varnish, stale fuel, or incorrect storage procedures.
- Damage or failures due to improper setup, pre-delivery service, or repair by unauthorized personnel.
- Damage caused by dirt-contaminated grease or oil, incorrect grease/oil types, failure to comply with greasing intervals, water/moisture damage, or improper storage.
- Sprayers used with caustic or flammable materials, lack of broken strainers, or continued use after an operational problem.
- First-sale units manufactured more than 12 months prior to purchase do not carry a battery warranty.
- Batteries for starting purposes on riding mowers, zero-turn mowers, and walk mowers are not covered if discharged.
- Scratch & Dent purchases, prior model year sales, or discounted units are not covered.
Your Responsibilities
To maintain warranty coverage, you must exercise reasonable care and use of the product, including following preventive maintenance, storage, and fuel/oil usage guidelines in the operator's manual. Failure to perform required maintenance will void the warranty. Adjustments after the first ninety days and preventive maintenance are not covered. You must cease using the product immediately upon any failure or damage and take it to an authorized servicing dealer before further use.
Warranty Exclusions and Disclaimers
Husqvarna is not liable for incidental or consequential damages. Your remedy is limited to repair or replacement at Husqvarna's discretion. Express warranties are limited to those set forth herein. Any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular use are disclaimed to the extent permitted by law and are limited to the duration of the applicable limited warranty period. Some localities may not allow these exclusions or limitations.
This Limited Warranty grants specific legal rights, and you may have other rights based on your locality.
