The Hyundai IONIQ presents a world premiere, being the first vehicle on the market to offer three alternative drive forms on the same platform, distinguished by its modern, aerodynamic design. From 2017, the IONIQ Plug-in-Hybrid expands the range, combining the advantages of the Hyundai IONIQ Hybrid with at least 50 kilometers of emission-free electric driving. It can be charged via an external power source.

The Hyundai IONIQ Hybrid combines a highly efficient gasoline engine and a high-torque electric motor with a sporty dual-clutch transmission for economical and pleasant driving.

The IONIQ Elektro is powered by a high-performance, high-torque electric motor, drawing energy for up to 280 kilometers of emission-free driving from a powerful lithium-polymer battery.

The heart of the Hyundai IONIQ Hybrid is a specially developed powertrain system that combines the economic advantages of a hybrid system with the enjoyment of driving. The gasoline engine, electric motor, and lithium-polymer battery are optimally coordinated for maximum efficiency. This powerhouse is encased in a specially developed high-strength, lightweight body.
Gasoline Direct Injection
The specially adapted 1.6-liter GDI gasoline engine delivers 105 PS with a class-leading thermal efficiency.
Modern High-Strength Steel
The intelligent use of lightweight, high-strength steel alloys, combined with a multi-link rear suspension and a low center of gravity, gives the vehicle great stability and ensures easy handling.
Lithium-Polymer Battery
The 1.56 kWh high-performance battery offers excellent charging and discharging characteristics, ensuring maximum performance during electric driving and energy recuperation. The battery comes with an 8-year warranty*.
Electric Motor
The high torque and efficiency are the main characteristics of the 32 kW electric motor. It provides impressive acceleration from a standstill and enables purely electric driving at speeds up to 120 km/h.
