GOFILM 20 QUICKSTART GUIDE

Version 1.1

An exploded view diagram of the GOFILM 20 drone illustrates its primary components. It shows the frame structure, four motors mounted on arms, the flight controller stack, the FPV camera at the front, and the area for battery placement.

How to bind ELRS 2.4G

The flight controller features a built-in ELRS 2.4G receiver. To initiate binding:

  1. Power cycle the GOFILM 20 three times using the battery. The receiver indicator light will turn red and flash twice quickly, entering binding mode.
  2. Use an ELRS 2.4G protocol remote controller for binding. For example, using the Radiomaster ZORRO ELRS 2.4G, follow the settings shown in figures ① and ②. Upon successful binding, the flight control ELRS receiver indicator light will be solid red.

Figure ① displays the Radiomaster ZORRO remote controller's menu interface, highlighting options such as 'WiFi Connectivity', 'Backpack', 'BLE Joystick', and 'BIND'. Figure ② shows the 'BIND' function selected, with associated parameters like '1/7' and '0/100', and protocol information '3.2.1 ISM2G4 8dbbdb'.

Figure ③ illustrates the ELRS receiver indicator light, which is solid red when the binding process is successful.

Default firmware version: ExpressLRS V3.0.1

ARM & Mode Configuration

After successful binding, connect the flight controller (FC) to Betaflight. Navigate to the 'Modes' tab. Toggle the corresponding switch on your remote controller for each function. A yellow cursor on the AUX channel will indicate when the function is active within the set range.

Configuring Switches

The Betaflight Modes tab interface is depicted, showing sliders for AUX channels (AUX1, AUX2, AUX3, AUX4). Each function (ARM, ANGLE, HORIZON, BEEPER, FLIP OVER AFTER CRASH) can be assigned to an AUX channel. A yellow cursor moves across a range from 900 to 2100, indicating the active position for each switch setting. The default motor rotation direction is also indicated by a diagram.

How to bind VTX

To bind the Video Transmitter (VTX) to your goggles:

  1. Connect the Moonlight Kit and power the goggles.
  2. Short press the linking buttons on both the Moonlight Kit and the goggles simultaneously. The VTX LED will turn red, and the goggles will emit a 'DI... DI... DI...' sound, indicating pairing mode.
  3. Upon successful linking, the VTX LED will turn solid green, the beeping sound from the goggles will stop, and the video feed will be displayed.

For detailed information on using the Moonlight Kit, refer to the electronic manual (QR code excluded).

Flight Control Wiring

The flight control wiring diagram details the connection points on the flight controller board. Labeled ports include power (+5V, GND, BAT+), signal pins (LED_Strip, BUZ-, BUZ+, RX2, TX2, RX6, TX6, IRX6(SBUS), RX1, TX1), and specific modules like 'Boot for STM32F405' and 'Boot for ESP8285'. Connections for the ELRS Receiver (TX/RX) and motor outputs (M1, M2, M3, M4) are also clearly marked.

Pre-flight Check

Perform these checks before each flight:

  1. Ensure the correct model is selected on your transmitter and that the arming switch is disarmed with the throttle fully down.
  2. Verify correct propeller direction, smooth rotation, and securely tightened screws.
  3. Check battery power; a fully charged 4S battery reads 16.8V.
  4. Securely attach the battery using the strap and ensure the balance lead is positioned to avoid propeller strikes.
  5. Assess the take-off environment for safety, obstacles, and no-fly zones.
  6. Confirm a clear, strong video feed in your FPV goggles or screen. Resolve any interference or unintended video feeds before flying.

CAUTION!

This product is not a toy and is unsuitable for children under 14 years of age. Minors must be supervised by an adult during operation. Carefully read all warnings in the instructions.
