MSI Laptop External Display Output Information

Overview

This document provides information on external display output capabilities for various MSI laptop series. It details connection interfaces, supported screen resolutions, and refresh rates.

  • Refer to the tables for external display output specifications, including connection interfaces, supported resolutions, and refresh rates.
  • The left side of the interface descriptions refers to the laptop's ports, while the right side refers to the external display's ports.
  • Display output fields indicate the number of output interfaces and their supported versions.
  • Note: mDP and Type-C/DP interfaces support DP version 1.4. This is not listed separately unless it's an exception.
  • Refer to the abbreviation list for interface descriptions.
  • Specific laptop models support MUX switch (GPU switching) functionality within MSI Center/MSI Center Pro, allowing users to select between MSHybrid, dGPU (Discrete Graphics), or iGPU (Integrated Graphics) modes.
  • The display interfaces listed in the tables correspond to the display adapters, indicating the hardware line connection. Users can also confirm this by enabling "Configure Surround PhysX" in the NVIDIA Control Panel.
