Safety Information
Safety Warnings
Read all operating information and the following safety warnings before using your HP product to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, injury, and property damage. Operating, storage, and charging temperature range is 10°C to 40°C.
- Use only HP-developed products and accessories for this product.
- If skin irritation occurs, discontinue use immediately and contact HP.
- CHILDREN: Keep the headset out of the reach of children. It contains small parts that can be swallowed by young children.
- Do not disassemble the product. Otherwise, dangerous voltages or other risks cannot be ruled out. Improper assembly of the power supply unit can lead to electric shock or fire during product use.
- If the product overheats or the power cord or plug is damaged, discontinue use immediately, unplug it, and contact HP.
- High volume can lead to temporary or permanent hearing damage. While there is no specific volume level suitable for everyone, you should always use your headset/headphones at a low volume and never expose yourself to high volume for too long. The higher the volume, the faster you can suffer hearing damage. Volume can vary when using the headset or headphones with different devices. The device used and its settings affect the volume. If you have hearing difficulties, you should stop playback through the headset or headphones and consult a doctor. To protect your hearing, experts recommend the following:
- 1. Set the volume control to a low volume before putting on and using the headset or headphones, and use the lowest possible volume.
- 2. Avoid increasing the volume to block out loud ambient noise. Use the headset or headphones in quiet environments with low background noise whenever possible.
- 3. Do not use the headset or headphones at high volume for extended periods.
- 4. Lower the volume of the headset or headphones if you can no longer hear people around you.
- When using the headset/headphones while driving a vehicle, observe the applicable legal regulations for using mobile phones and headsets while driving. Your primary attention must always be on road traffic and your safe driving. Using a headset or headphones that covers both ears can prevent you from perceiving ambient noises. It therefore poses a significant safety risk to you and other road users when driving a vehicle or cycling and is prohibited in most countries and regions.
- If this product includes earbuds/earplugs, use them according to the instructions. The earbud/earplug must not penetrate the ear canal. If the earplug gets stuck in the ear canal, seek medical attention immediately.
- Connect the power adapter or charger to an outlet that is located near the device and is easily accessible.
Warnings for Cordless Product Batteries
- If the product has a non-replaceable battery, do not attempt to open the product or remove the battery, as this may lead to injury and/or damage to the product.
- If the product has a replaceable battery, use only the type of battery supplied by HP. Dispose of used batteries promptly.
- Replace batteries after three years or 300 charge cycles – whichever comes first.
- Never throw the product or battery into fire and avoid temperatures above 40° C.
- Do not expose the battery to very high temperatures. This can lead to an explosion or leakage of flammable liquids or gases.
- Never open or bend the battery. The battery may contain corrosive materials that can cause eye and skin injuries and can be toxic if ingested.
- Never bring the battery into contact with your mouth. In case of accidental ingestion, contact a doctor or poison control center immediately. Ingestion can cause burns, perforation of soft tissue, and death. Severe burns can occur within 2 hours of ingestion.
- Always keep batteries out of the reach of children.
- The battery or battery holder must not come into contact with metal objects such as keys or coins.
- RECYCLING: The battery of this product must be recycled or disposed of properly. Contact your local recycling center for removal and proper disposal of the battery.
- Use only the charger provided by HP and follow the enclosed instructions to charge the product. If your headset can alternatively be charged with a mobile phone charger, use only manufacturer-approved chargers supplied with your mobile phone. Do not use the charger for any other purpose. Ensure the mains voltage matches the local power supply you intend to use.
