Starlink Standard to Standard Actuated Mount Adapter Install Guide

What's in the Box

The following components are included:

The Starlink dish itself (558 mm / 21.96 in length) is also part of the system but not detailed as a separate component in this adapter kit.

Installation Steps

1 Download the Starlink App

Scan the QR code provided or visit setup.starlink.com to download the Starlink App on your smartphone. The app guides you through the setup process and includes tools for finding the best mounting location.

2 Find Mounting Location

Your Starlink dish requires a clear, unobstructed view of the sky to maintain a stable connection with satellites. Avoid locations where objects like tree branches, poles, or roof structures could block the signal, as this will cause service interruptions. Use the obstruction tool within the Starlink App to verify your chosen location provides an optimal view.

[Illustrations comparing suitable and unsuitable mounting locations. A checkmark ✔️ indicates a clear sky view. Cross marks ❌ indicate obstructions such as trees, poles, and rooflines.]

3 Remove Kickstand

On the Starlink dish, locate the kickstand. Squeeze the release tab and pull the kickstand away from its fixed position to detach it.

4 Route Cable Through Pipe Adapter

Thread the Starlink cable through the designated opening in the Pipe Adapter and guide it out through the front end of the adapter.

5 Plug in Cable and Install Pipe Adapter

Connect the Starlink cable plug into the Starlink dish. Ensure the plug is fully inserted so that its face is flush with the surface of the dish. Next, align the Pipe Adapter with the Starlink dish and slide it on until it audibly clicks into place.

6 Mount Starlink

Loosen the screws on the Pipe Adapter. Slide the Pipe Adapter, now attached to the Starlink dish, onto your mast tube. Temporarily tighten the screws to secure the Starlink dish onto the tube. Connect the other end of the Starlink cable to your router and plug the router into a power source (⚡).

7 Install Starlink into Mount

Carefully slide the mast tube, with the Starlink dish and adapter assembly attached, into your existing Standard Actuated Mount. This Standard Adapter Mount is compatible with various Starlink Standard Actuated Mounts, including: Short Wall Mount, Long Wall Mount, Pivot Mount, Ground Pole Mount, and Ridgeline Mount.

8 Align and Lock Your Starlink

The Starlink App will provide an alert if your dish needs to be rotated for optimal alignment. Follow the on-screen prompts to use the alignment tool. Once aligned, tighten the screws on the Pipe Adapter securely to lock your Starlink dish in place. Confirm that the Starlink dish is firmly attached.

Close-up illustrations show hands tightening the screws on the Pipe Adapter with a hex key, indicating correct ✔️ and incorrect ❌ tightening. A warning symbol ⚠️ is also shown.]
