Operating Instructions
Before First Use
Remove all packing materials. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Never immerse the Air Fryer or its plug in water. Wash the basket and tray with warm, soapy water (they are top-rack dishwasher safe); avoid abrasive cleaners. Dry thoroughly.
How to Use
- Prepare Basket and Food: Insert the tray into the basket using the tray handle, ensuring it is secure and level. Note: The tray promotes maximum air circulation for even cooking. Caution: Never fill the basket with oil. Toss food with a small amount of oil in a separate bowl before placing it on the tray.
- Place Food on Tray: Refer to the cooking guide for recommended amounts and tips.
- Insert Basket: Use the basket handle to insert the basket firmly into the Air Fryer.
- Plug In: Connect the Air Fryer to a 120V AC outlet. The power indicator light will not illuminate until the timer is set past 0. The unit will not operate if the basket is not fully inserted.
- Set Temperature and Time: Turn the temperature dial to the desired temperature (200°F - 400°F). Turn the timer dial to the desired cooking time (up to 30 minutes). The timer will begin counting down with an audible click.
- Start Cooking: Once temperature and time are set, the power and heating indicator lights will illuminate, and cooking will begin.
- Check Food During Cooking: To check or redistribute food, pull the basket out using the handle. The unit will pause automatically. Use tongs to flip or shake food, then push the basket back in to resume cooking.
- Enjoy Food: When the timer finishes, the Air Fryer will chime once and turn off. Use the basket handle to carefully remove the basket. Use protective gloves or tongs to transfer hot food to a serving plate. Place the hot basket on a heat-resistant surface.
- Unplug and Cool: Unplug the Air Fryer and let it cool completely before cleaning.
- Clean Basket and Tray: Clean after every use.
Cooking Tips
- Almost any oven-cooked food can be air fried.
- Foods cook best when of similar size and thickness. Smaller pieces cook faster.
- For efficiency, air fry in small batches, avoiding stacking food.
- Most prepackaged foods contain oil and do not require additional oil for crispiness.
- Frozen appetizers and hors d'oeuvres cook well when arranged in a single layer.
- If layering foods, shake the basket halfway through or flip food for even cooking.
- Toss homemade items like fries or vegetables with a small amount of oil for browning and crispiness.
- Pat fresh vegetables dry before tossing with oil and air frying for maximum crispiness.
- For battered foods, use thick, pasty batters. Thin batters may run off.
- Coating battered foods with panko or puffed rice and spraying with oil creates crispy, healthier versions.
- Air fryers are excellent for reheating food, including pizza. Set to 300°F for up to 10 minutes. Use a thermometer to ensure food safety temperatures.
