Fax Archiving
Sent fax documents can be forwarded to a single pre-registered destination.
Administrators or end-users can check documents and document history.
LDAP Authentication
This feature complements the traditional authentication system. It supports per-entry authentication and automatic authentication via user names and passwords, based on fixed information registered in the device address book.
SMTP Authentication
As part of a newly supported feature, an authentication screen appears requiring the user ID for the device log-in service. The password field is left blank if the information is not registered. If the same user ID is used for the device log-in service and SMTP authentication, users are not required to enter their respective IDs upon first registration.
Department ID Management
Department IDs and passwords registered on the Color imageCLASS MF800 Series enable system administrators to manage device usage for each department. Department IDs can consist of up to seven numeric digits.
Volume limitations or controlled access to copy, scan, and print functions can be set for up to 300 departments.
Cost Control Example: A visual representation shows different departments (Executive Suite, Purchasing Dept., Marketing Dept.) with icons indicating their allowed functions (PRINT, COPY, SCAN). This illustrates how Department ID Management can control access.
Secure Print
The Color imageCLASS MF800 Series offers Secure Print to protect the privacy of printed documents. Follow these steps to ensure documents reach the intended recipients:
Enter the code on the PC.
Select the "Secure Print" button on the touch-screen of the MF820Cdn/MF810Cdn.
Select the document name in Secure Print Mode.
Enter the code on the MF820Cdn/MF810Cdn.
Retrieve the secure print from the output tray.

Apple AirPrint
Allows printing of documents, e-mails, Web pages, and photos to compatible imageCLASS devices from compatible iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch mobile devices.
= AirPrint functionality requires an iPad, iPad Mini, iPad 2, the new iPad, iPhone 3GS or later, or iPod touch 3rd generation or later device running iOS 4.2 or later, and an AirPrint-enabled printer connected to the same network as your iOS device. A printer connected to the USB port of a Mac, PC, AirPort Base Station, or Time Capsule is not supported.
Mopria Print Service
Enables printing of documents, e-mails, Web pages, and photos to compatible imageCLASS devices from compatible Android KitKat 4.4 mobile computing devices.
== Mopria Print Service is available for free at the Google Play Store and requires a compatible Android KitKat 4.4 smartphone or tablet. The printer must be wirelessly connected to the network router or via an Ethernet cable. The mobile device and printer must be connected to the same network.
Canon Mobile Printing
With Canon Mobile Printing for select iOS and Android devices, users can print directly to their MF800 Series device. The app supports various finishing options and file types, catering to both personal and business printing needs.
Canon Mobile Scanning for Business
This application allows users to scan jobs from their MF800 Series device to a compatible iOS or Android device. It is particularly convenient for users on the road and for backup and distribution purposes.

Wired Connection: An iOS or Android Device connects wirelessly to a Wireless Router (Wi-Fi), which is then connected via Ethernet cable to the MF800 Series Device. Printed documents are shown coming from the MF800 Series Device.
Wireless Connection: An iOS or Android Device connects wirelessly to a Wireless Router (Wi-Fi), which is then connected wirelessly to the MF800 Series Device. This setup is for mobile printing capabilities.
Mobile printing capabilities require MF800 Series products to be attached to a wireless router. Wireless printing requires a working Ethernet network with wireless 802.11b/g or n capability. Wireless performance may vary based on terrain and distance between the printer and wireless network clients.

Canon Send PDF Security Feature Set-E1
Offers PDF Encryption and PDF Digital Signature capabilities. PDF Encryption protects PDF data, while PDF Digital Signature or User Signature can be added to PDF files for verification of the device or user who signs off on a file.
Canon Barcode Printing Kit-D1
Prints barcodes in SAP R/3 environments, other ERP software, and Windows-based applications. It supports over 50 barcode formats (1D and 2D) and includes symbols for safety, electronic, and manufacturing systems.
Image Quality
Thanks to V2 (Vivid and Vibrant) Color Technology, high-quality printing is achieved by increasing image sharpness and color vibrancy.
The performance of these color multifunction printers is fully utilized to expand the color range (color gamut) of dark areas within printed images. Sharpness control has also been added to the new MF800 Series to enhance individual image details.
Vivid Color Comparison: This visual compares the color output of a predecessor Canon product without V2 Color Technology against a new Canon product with V2 Color Technology. The new product demonstrates enhanced color vibrancy and detail, particularly in darker tones.
Utilizing the Color Range
The new MF800 Series effectively uses its full color range. Shadows and dark colors are optimized by adjusting the color ratio of each individual toner. This technique increases the color range in shadowed or dark image areas, allowing for highly detailed expression of dark colors.

Eco-Conscious Design
Resource Preservation
Unlike conventional plastics manufactured using petroleum, bio-based plastics are derived from plant-based organic resources. This reduces dependence on finite fossil fuels. When bio-based plastic is burned after disposal, it results in no net increase of CO2 in the atmosphere, as the emitted CO2 is equivalent to that absorbed by the plants during their growth. This process is considered carbon-neutral.

Bio-Plastic Lifecycle: This diagram illustrates the process of bio-plastic usage. It starts with Plants undergoing Photosynthesis, converting CO2. These plants are then used for Plastic Synthesis, leading to Bio-Plastic Parts. When these parts decompose or are burned, they release CO2, but this is offset by the initial absorption, resulting in no overall increase in atmospheric CO2.
