The control panel includes a 3.5-inch QVGA, color touch-panel that enables both touch and flick operations for intuitive and comfortable user interaction.

Easy to Replace Toner
New to Canon Color imageCLASS, IAP (Insulated Air Pressure) toner bottles are designed for fast and easy replacement.

General Security Features
The Color imageCLASS MF800 Series helps reduce the risk of information leaks and enhances overall security by utilizing various security features and protocols.
Fax Archiving
- Sent fax documents can be forwarded to a single destination registered in advance.
- Administrator or end-user can check documents and document history of end-users.
LDAP Authentication
This is in addition to the traditional authentication system. Based on the fixed information registered in the device address book, authentication on a per-entry basis and automatic authentication via user names and passwords are supported.
SMTP Authentication
As part of the newly supported feature, the authentication screen appears with the user ID required for the device log-in service, preset with the user name field. The password field is left blank when the information is not registered. When using the same user ID for the device log-in service and SMTP authentication, users are not required to enter their respective IDs when registering for the first time.

Department ID Management
Department IDs and passwords registered on the Color imageCLASS MF800 Series allow system administrators to manage device usage for each department. Department IDs can contain up to seven numeric digits. Volume limitations or controlled access to copy, scan, and print functions can be set for up to 300 departments.
Secure Print
The Color imageCLASS MF800 Series features Secure Print to help protect the privacy of your printed documents. To help ensure that they end up in the right hands, follow the simple steps below:
- Enter the code on PC.
- Select the touch-screen "Secure Print" button on the MF820Cdn/MF810Cdn.
- Select the document name in Secure Print Mode.
- Enter the code on the MF820Cdn/MF810Cdn.
- Pick up the secure print from the output tray.

Apple® AirPrint™
Allows you to print documents, e-mails, Web pages, and photos to compatible imageCLASS devices from your compatible iPhone®, iPad®, and iPod touch® mobile devices.
Mopria™ Print Service
Allows you to print documents, e-mails, Web pages, and photos to compatible imageCLASS devices from your compatible Android™ KitKat 4.4 mobile computing device.
Canon Mobile Printing
With Canon Mobile Printing for select iOS and Android devices, you can print right to your MF800 Series device. With a variety of finishing options and file types available, this app suits both personal and business printing needs.
Canon Mobile Scanning for Business
Canon Mobile Scanning for Business allows you to scan jobs from your MF800 Series device to your compatible iOS or Android device. This is particularly convenient when on the road and for backup and distribution needs.

* Mobile printing capabilities will require MF800 Series products to be attached to a wireless router. Wireless printing requires a working Ethernet network with wireless 802.11b/g or n capability. Wireless performance may vary based on terrain and distance between printer and wireless network clients.
+ AirPrint functionality requires an iPad, iPad Mini, iPad 2, the new iPad, iPhone 3GS or later, or iPod touch 3rd generation or later device running iOS 4.2 or later, and an AirPrint-enabled printer connected to the same network as your iOS device. A printer connected to the USB port of your Mac, PC, AirPort Base Station, or Time Capsule is not supported.
++ Mopria Print Service, available for free at the Google Play Store, requires a compatible Android KitKat 4.4 smartphone or tablet. The printer must be either wirelessly connected to the network router or with an Ethernet cable. The mobile device and printer must be connected to the same network.
u Scanning with MF800 Series products requires TWAIN compliant software scan utility.

Image Quality
V² (Vivid and Vibrant) Color Technology
Thanks to V² (Vivid and Vibrant) Color Technology, high-quality printing is possible by increasing image sharpness and color vibrancy.
The performance of these color multifunction printers can be fully utilized to expand the color range (color gamut) of dark areas within printed images. Sharpness control has also been added to the new MF800 Series to expand on individual image details.

Utilizing the Color Range
The new MF800 Series is able to exercise full use of color range. Shadows and dark colors are optimized by adjustments with color ratio of each individual toner. The color range can be increased in parts of images that have shadows or are dark in nature. This technique allows for expression of dark colors to be very detailed.

Resource Preservation
Plastics are normally manufactured using petroleum as a raw material. By contrast, bio-based plastics are made from plant-based organic resources. This helps reduce the dependence on finite fossil fuel resources. When bio-based plastic is burned after the product is discarded, there's no increase of CO2 in the air. This is because the quantity of CO2 that's emitted at this time is the same as that absorbed by the plants that are used to make the bio-plastic. The process, therefore, is considered to cause no overall increase in the amount of CO2. The Color imageCLASS MF820Cdn/MF810Cdn have employed bio-based plastics.*
