Cleaning and Care Instructions
Homogeneous Vinyl Walling Sheet
For use with: Wallflex®, Accolade Plus®, Natralis®, Quantum®, Armalon NG®
Initial Care
- After installation is completed, allow 48 hours to dry.
- Clean the surface with a good quality neutral cleaner (pH 7.0 - 8.5).
- Adhesive residue may be removed using a clean white cloth dampened with small amounts of mineral turps, carefully following container warnings. Immediately rinse with clean water. (Test in an inconspicuous area first).
Routine Care
Clean the surface with a good quality neutral cleaner (pH 7.0 - 8.5). The frequency of cleaning depends on environmental conditions and customer requirements.
Stain Removal
Treatment should be carried out when stains are fresh. Use a white or red hand pad in combination with a good quality neutral cleaner (pH 7.0 - 8.5). After stains have been removed, wash/wipe with clean water. Spot cleaning/spot scrubbing may be conducted as necessary.
Protection During Construction
All vinyl walling materials must be protected during the construction period using a cardboard or paper-based protection system.
Where additional or solid protection is required, first install a cardboard or paper-based protection system, and then place rigid material over this (e.g., plywood, hardboard, corflute®). Armstrong Flooring DOES NOT recommend the use of plastic materials for the protection of vinyl wall products during construction (e.g., builder's plastic, corflute®, sticky back carpet, or vinyl protector films), as these materials can damage the wall.
Surface protection must be applied over clean surfaces only.
DO NOT tape/stick protection directly to the wall. DO NOT allow water to sit on or under the protection materials, as this could damage the wall materials and/or cause irreversible whitening/clouding of the surface. Should the protection materials become wet, they MUST be immediately removed. Allow the surface to dry, then re-apply surface protection.
Warning & General Hints
- Follow manufacturer's instructions for all cleaning chemicals.
- Ensure the wall is protected from rubber products (particularly black types, such as tyres and mats), as these can cause staining.
- As with any vinyl walling, the use of improper cleaning agents and/or corrosive chemicals (e.g., acids, alkalis, caustic or solvent agents such as hydrochloric/sulfamic acid, paint stripper, benzine, toluol, acetone, or strong scouring powders) may damage the surface.
