Placement
For optimal performance, Sonos recommends the following placement for your Arc Ultra soundbar:
- Place on a stable, horizontal surface. Do not place vertically or on its side.
- Avoid enclosing it in a cabinet or corner.
- Ensure the controls are facing upwards.
- For best sound quality, position it in front of and below your TV, or mount it above your TV.
- If placed below the TV, maintain at least 4 inches (10 cm) of space between the soundbar and the TV.
- Position the front of the soundbar as close to the edge of the surface as possible.
Connect the Cables
Follow these steps to connect your Arc Ultra:
- Connect the power cable to Arc Ultra and plug it into a power outlet.
- Connect the included HDMI cable to Arc Ultra. If using an Ethernet cable, connect it as well.
- Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to your TV's HDMI ARC or eARC port.
- If your TV does not have an HDMI ARC or eARC port, connect the HDMI cable to your TV's optical port using the Sonos Optical Audio Adapter (sold separately). Follow these steps for the adapter:
- Remove the protective cap from the optical adapter.
- Attach the optical adapter to the HDMI cable.
- Connect the optical adapter to your TV's optical digital OUT port.
- Note: Ensure the adapter is correctly aligned before plugging it in, as incorrect insertion may cause damage.
Wall Mount
The Sonos Arc Ultra Wall Mount (sold separately) allows for wall mounting above or below your TV. Sonos recommends:
- Maintain at least 4 inches (10 cm) of space between the mounted soundbar and your TV.
- Ensure the controls are facing upwards.
- Keep both ends of the soundbar at least 1 inch (2.5 cm) from walls or obstructions.
Note: Arc Ultra is also compatible with the Sonos Arc Wall Mount.
